Erik Sorenson, the towering GU football superstar, got his nickname, The Viking, because he’s blond, brutal, and ice cold. After a sordid promise is broken, we spend two years silently ignoring each other. Even in the same room, there’s no conversation. No eye contact. Nada.
A serial killer is on a rampage. One day I see too much. And the killer sees me.
I’m forced to stay with the gorgeous Viking, and everyone expects me to follow his orders. Especially him. Considering what he wants from me… there’s no way.
But even while under threat, our chemistry is white hot. It may burn until there's nothing left but ash. ____________________________________________________________________________ Read the stunning conclusion of the best-selling Dark Knights series. This enemies to lovers New Adult romance features a strong heroine and a possessive, morally grey hero.
This book was a fantastic finish to this series and this book was my favourite out of the 3, although all 3 books were so good 😊.
I had hoped Arya would be Erik’s love interest because she spiked my interest in book 2 and she did not disappoint. This girl is the very definition of girl power 💪. Strong, sassy but still vulnerable at times. And the type of best friend any girl would want.
I honestly did not expect Erik to be my favourite of the Dark Knights but still waters run deep with this boy. Smart, athletic and so loyal to Arya. Swoon worthy ❤️😘
I loved this series so much. If you get a chance and love college dark romance, secret society with a killer mystery this is the book series for you.
Just wow! This was a romantic suspense with a dash of thriller. Tons of action and twists and turns. The two MCs had fantastic chemistry, and kept the heat burning at simmer the entire time. Totally not necessary to read the previous books first, but I'd recommend it. If you're a fan of opposites attract and enemies to lovers, this will definitely check your boxes!
I thought this was such an exciting read. Ayra seems to hate Erik for something that happened in the past. However, they cannot deny their attraction to each other. However, since Cassanova seems to be still an issue on campus, Erik is tasked to protect Ayra. Sparks fly between these two as they stuck in close confines as they race to outsmart the killer. I found this book entertaining and so fun to read.
I received a free advance reader copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my fair and honest review.
This was definitely the worst one of the series! It’s so similar…girl moves in with guy for reasons and they fall for each other in days. You’ll understand this review better if you’ve read the previous two books.
As I expected, I did not like Arya. She was selfish and gave Erik an ultimatum between her and finding a serial killer. I enjoyed Erik but it always disappoints me when an author back tracks from previous books in order to make the relationship look better.
In this case we know from Book 2 that Erik was interested in Cami, he flat out asked Declan if she was available. In this book the author back tracks and tries to say he wasn’t ever interested and uses Camis last name Reynolds to keep a distance between them.
I skimmed this one a lot, the reveal of who was Casanova was anticlimactic, I’m glad the girls kicked his butt. I had to laugh at the medical scenes because it’s clear the author doesn’t have experience with this and didn’t research. Anyways after three books of the same thing I don’t think I’ll continue the series. I’m glad they all became buddies in the end but we don’t get any sort of epilogue.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Wow what a rollercoaster ride! This is a can’t put down book. I was surprised who it turned out to be. I actually for once could figure it out! The Viking is my new book boyfriend for sure! Great series!
When the book starts Erik and Arya do not like each other. You find out why later but honestly it didn't seem like such a big deal.
Because of the continued threat of Casanova and the fact another girl has been found her dad makes a deal with Erik's grandfather/uncle (cant remember) to have Arya move in with him for protection which you know works out great.
Her ex is a piece of work and my primary suspect for the first half of the book. He has a Game of Thrones tattoo for Arya (even though she hates her name), he gropes her even though she asks him to stop. He gets all his friends to try and attack her and her friend, twice!! I dunno what she ever saw in him.
So she moves in with Erik and she hates him but they have sex the second night. He has a huge dick so why not! They never really talk about anything. She had a awful experience and she doesn't tell him for ages. They just have loads of sex.
There is some nice moments. He reads to her in Danish when she cant sleep which is adorable and he stands up for her against her shitty mother.
By 80% I had changed my mind about who I thought Casanova was and when we find out, I didn't know who he was. He might have been mentioned then previous books but I am sure he wasn't mentioned in this book until the big reveal. Arya and Avery are kidnapped and just as he is about to rape Avery Arya gets free and manages to stop it and they get free. The dude runs away but straight into Erik.
The police find another girl down there alive and just thinking about the things he did to her is sickening!
They all go see her dance and its over
I didn't like that as the last book there was no epilogue. You have to subscribe to the author to read and that is my biggest pet peeve with books. I want the epilogue but don't want emails from the author. Just give me the epilogue!! I docked a full star for it.
Consent in this book is non existent. He wants anal, she doesn't, they have anal. I also didn't need a full chapter dedicated to it.
Also -and this isn't a complaint- but her last name is Peralta and I could get Andy Samberg out of my head while I read this.
This is the final book in the trilogy and it was so wonderful, we find out who the bad guy is finally and there is considerable danger in the story, there is a lot of smutty action and a great HEA at the end. A seriously terrific story that I couldn’t put down.
Did not care for Arya. Took until ~75% of the book to like her or feel that connection. Until that point I found her to be mean to Erik and I didn’t feel their connection. If this was the first book in the series I would have stopped at 30% because I didn’t care for Arya. I loved the other two books in this series so I knew I would like it but it just took a bit longer than I expected.
i’m repeating myself here, but this one was better than the first two in most respects. we saw more from the characters, they seemed more developed, they had friends and family and complicating factors, which is several levels up from the first book, which felt like the only people really in it were shane and avery.
this one was also the one that felt most like a mystery, which made that part of the plot more engaging, since in the first two books, the mystery is only really hinted at.
however, my problem with this book is arya. i hated her. and i don’t mean the annoyance with the blankness of avery or the frustration with cami’s disrespect for people’s privacy.
i mean that through 98% of this book, arya is a grade-a bitch. she acts like a high school girl. she refuses to tell anyone what she’s doing or what she’s thinking or what she needs, and then she spends all of her time whining or stomping or complaining. there’s also a disturbing role reversal in this book.
in the last one, i was mad at declan for even suggesting that cami give up her dream and her future career for him.
in this one, erik throws his away because arya whines, and that’s seen as romantic. it’s awful.
in the beginning of this book, it’s set up to be that arya has to stay there so he can be her bodyguard. she’s in his house for exactly 45 seconds before she’s reading his journal and acting entitled and bitchy when he tells her not to.
later, she tries to break into his safe (immediately after helping herself to more of his private writing) and when he correctly tells her to stop acting like a fucking toddler, she stomps her foot and goes “no” again.
she steals $20k and a fucking gun (that she has no idea how to use) from him and leaves because he’s honest with her about the kind of danger they’re all in, and THEN she pouts and bitches to her friends because she’s pissed that he didn’t immediately follow her after her tantrum. and if that’s not enough, she calls him and whines for him to come get her and when he does, she’s like “yay! he comes to get me even though i treated him like garbage.” (she does return the money and the gun though, to be fair.)
she’s a horribly immature character who spends all of her time manipulating erik into doing things, usually by whining or complaining or just generally being a bitch for no reason.
some might call it brattiness, because most of the time she’s doing it to bait him into fucking her, but it’s the most disrespectful and annoying depiction of brattiness that i’ve ever seen. she’s genuinely just mean and unpleasant for most of the book, and on multiple occasions, erik is like “you can just tell me what’s going on and then i’ll take you seriously,” and she refuses and throws more tantrums.
her one redeeming quality is helping to save two different women from sexual assaults, which she obviously deserves credit for. she’s very brave and determined in these scenes, which almost makes it worse because it’s so disappointing that this character could have been kinder or more honest or less mean, but we chose to keep her as a manipulative, juvenile, malicious person with a superiority complex and an inability to communicate anything at all. i hated her.
I'm honestly so conflicted right now after reading Twisted Demands because on one hand, I'm deliriously happy to have all the answers, but on the other, I'm not ready for it all to end LOL! Each book in the Dark Knights series/trilogy is about a different couple, but there's an underlying suspense plot that has been going throughout about a serial killer named Cassanova, who has been killing girls around the GU campus with a ton of suspects so you have to read them in order no matter what. It means the twists are coming in hot like you wouldn't believe, and it definitely kept me on my toes. This chapter surrounds Erik, our resident Viking & star football player, and the girl who is perfect for him, dance dynamo, Arya, who packs a punch in everything she does. They have serious chemistry but due to a situation a while back, she's done whatever she can to avoid his behind LOL! Turns out that he ends up needing to protect her so they end up staying at his place which means those sparks are finally going to ignite in the close proximity, and boy did it. There's so much going on under Arya's surface that Erik figures out quickly, there's more to her than meets the eye, and plus there's that whole Cassanova danger which has escalated even further. I'm telling you, I never had a clue who done it, so now I'm about to go back to read them all again to see what I missed (if anything), and I'm definitely dying inside for that bonus content this amazing author promises is coming so yeah, I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.
Erik Sorensen is called the Viking for several reasons. He is after all cold as ice, blond and so very brutal. He is also the GU football superstar and a reclusive journalist. He really doesn't open his mouth to talk very often. Or so that is what people think. But that quiet brutal guy is the reason they have all been in a bitter conflict for two years. Arya is the team captain of the girls dance team. She really had a heart that cares for others and while that his what people see on the outside, inside she is facing her own troubles and vulnerability. Freshmen year these two really got off on the wrong foot and don't like each other. However she sure never thought she would be moving in with the guy. And not for the reason you're thinking. There is a killer on the lost that is called Cassanova. Arya one day though sees too much and is no longer safe and has to move in with him. However there is no way that living together that they can deny their attraction that has always been there. However to her he is dangerous and wants way more than she is willing to give. This is the conclusion to the Dark Knights Series. You will have wanted to read Indecent Demands and Wicked Demands. I really like how everything falls together in this book. It keeps you reading well past bedtime to see if the killer will be caught and to get the answers we have all been waiting for.
Besides the fact that I could barely stand Arya, the main female character, because her character arc made no sense, it was pretty fun and I like the way it all resolved.
The Casanova’s identity turned out to be pretty obvious early on in this book and while I wish we got more of him in terms of his reasoning and how he did it, it was pretty entertaining and satisfying to see it all unravel.
As for the main characters, Erik was exactly how I imagined him to be, although I wouldn’t exactly call him the book boyfriend of the year (why are you making the girl sleep on a sofa in a freezing apartment? There’s also a fine line between being protective and sexist and he was definitely toeing it a couple times). Still, he was a good guy and it was easy to like him.
When it comes to Arya, her character arc made little sense. On one hand, she was supposed to be this strong, fierce girl, always ready to stand up to bullies and risk her life to help her friends and then brushing it off easily. On the other hand, she was a snowflake, unable to handle tough discussions and ready to faint at any sign of violence or even the idea of it. Which one is it, then? Because the snowflake version was annoying af.
I wish there was more banter, more found family vibe among this group of friends. Nevertheless, I think this was the best book in the series in terms of plot development and creating emotional connection between the characters.
Arya Peralta is team captain of the girls dance team. She cares about others, often proving her leadership, and while she might put in a brave face and fierce attitude most of the time, she also faces personal troubles and vulnerability.
Erik “the Viking” Sorenson is a reclusive journalist and football star. He has been investigating the Casanova story with his writing partner, Cami Reynolds. He might seem intimidating due to his size and aloofness but he will move mountains for his close friends and family.
The two of them got off on the wrong foot in freshman year, but when they are forced to spend time together, they realize they cannot deny their attraction or the connection simmering between them. They push each others buttons but also take care of the other when in need. They make a good team and balance each other out.
Along with the romance we have the continuing plot of finding out who Casanova is and see the return of a familiar faces (I might read the first two books in this series first for better understanding of this plot line and who the characters are). There are a few twists here and some suspense, with pieces falling into place and connections being made.
Overall, a good conclusion to this series.

“He’s a beast that devours his prey whole, and my body is here for it.”
HOLY WOW! Author Marlee Wray just took me on the wildest ride yet!!! Twisted Demands is an alluring, toe-curling, thrilling romance that had me on edge the whole time reading. The writing is witty and wickedly delicious. I devoured the banter, burning tension, and palpable pull of the hero and heroine. Pure heart-pounding addiction!
This intoxicating mashup of sports, suspense, and college romance with a whodunit murder theme dominated both my body and brain. I fell hard for the protective, panty-melting, football star and his feisty and fierce cheerleader. The Viking and his queen. I was completely captivated by Erik, Arya, and their hard fought love story. My heart pounded and mind raced as I lived and breathed this book.
Twisted Demands is a tale of soulmates, strength, and survival. It’s gripping, messy, and moving. I burned for this brilliant book, a beautiful collision of dark and light that enthralls at every turn. The banter … the burning angst … the heat … oh my! I was utterly lost in this love story that stole my breath, heart, and soul. I may have a forever Arya and Erik crush.
This is the third and perfect conclusion to this amazing series, and this is Erik / Viking and Arya’s journey. Erik is the GU football superstar, who is known as the Viking, due to being cold as ice, blonde, and brutal, and he and Arya did not get off to the best of starts and have since hated and avoided each other. Arya is a competitive dancer, and is team captain of the girl’s dance team, but when she witnesses something, she should not have, she becomes the target of a serial killer. Arya is forced to move in with Erik, so he can protect her, but will the time together force them to confront their feeling for each other? This is the perfect conclusion to this phenomenal series, and this story is action packed, with emotions, danger, suspense, intrigue, twists, family, friendships, undeniable chemistry, romance, enemies / lovers’, and love, which leads to an entertaining and steamy addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
Wow! Last things first, that was quite the exciting ending to the overarching story of this series. I think I was literally holding my breath at times!
As for the story of Arya and Erik - what a great pairing. Arya definitely needed someone with a strong personality to bust through her walls and overrule her stubbornness to win her trust and her heart. I loved that Erik was up for the task! At the same time, she wasn’t so hardened that she was unaffected by the dangerous and scary events around her. She had a really strong moral compass and a desire to do the right thing. I liked that those strong convictions helped to influence some of Erik’s decisions, while at the same time, Arya had to acknowledge that dangerous situations call for morally grey actions. It was a really good balance/compromise between them.
The conclusion to the Dark Knights series was everything I was hoping for- steam, dark romance, and plenty of action to keep the ready engaged. This book featured broody, Erik and feisty Arya (with a few funny references to GoT naturally) who cross paths again after an ill-fated encounter freshman year. Arya's toxic family hires Erik to be her bodyguard with Casanova still on the loose and while she's still not happy with him over their freshman year almost hook up she begrudgingly accepts his support. They fight their attraction, but Erik turns out to be kind of a softie for this girl and falls first and hard. Along the storyline, we finally learn Casanova's identity and see plenty of adventure along the way.

So the story wasn’t bad, I wouldn’t had guess who the villain was. I really like the MMC but the FMC nope. What the hell did he see in her? Brat is being nice because while reading I called her many things! I will say I did give it to her towards the end on how she fought and got them out! But that was the only redeeming moment for her. If this author would write the FMC better these books would be amazing!! I was skipping all those parts. These FMC took too much away from the book. So I would say if you don’t like selfish whiny brat like fmc these aren’t for you. This fmc wasn’t appreciation at all even when he saved her! You won’t find a strong amazing fmc who sees the real world and understands. I would say Shane remained my fav!! Along with pops
✨Review ✨ *** Thank you to Marlee Wray for the book to review. *** Twisted Demands was so good. The beginning was a bit hard to get into and talked about somethings that were a bit murky(I didn't read the other two books in the series, so that might be a reason) but I quickly caught on and got hooked. I loved Erik. He was so sweet, dark, and silent. I loved his grumpiness and his roughness. His banter with Arya was amazing. I loved Arya. Her spunkiness and attitude kept everyone on their toes. The story line was so good and the twists and turns were addicting. The spice was off the charts and the chemistry was explosive. The ending was so good. Definitely a great and addictive read. *** Stars: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Spice:🔥🔥🔥🔥 Romance:🩷🩷🩷
This is the third book in this series, and it was totally enticing, exciting, and erotically thrilling.
Arya attends the same university as Erik. She is a competitive dancer and supposedly not at all impressed by “Viking’s” well-toned, marauder inspired, football sized body. Oh My, how much can she avoid the truth?
Because Casanovas is still abducting, torturing, and murdering beautiful young college women, Erik is asked by his grandfather to act as a bodyguard for Arya. At first, he is reluctant, until he realizes how much he cares for this spicy, sassy, out-spoken young woman. Watching their relationship grow and flourish is amazingly beautiful, and I highly recommend this series.
Arya and Eric are fire and ice. They're convinced they're too different to work anywhere outside of the bedroom, but their chemistry is too strong not to try. All of the questions left hanging from the previous two books are answered, and the puzzle pieces are finally all put together. The characters are complex and have their share of past traumas, but that adds to the depth of the story.
This has been my favorite Marlee Wray series. It was spicy, action-packed, and full of twists and turns. This spicy dark enemies to lovers, college romantic suspense did not disappoint.

"Twisted Demands" is the conclusion to the Casanova mystery in this Dark Knights Series. I read all three books, an enjoyed all of them. I liked that the previous characters were also included in the story. This is a steamy, dark romance, very well written. I will definitely read more from the author.

This is a very addictive dark college romance!! I was hooked until the very end and cannot wait for the next one. This is the third story in the "Dark Knights" series and it can be read as a stand alone read. However, the prior two are very good and worth reading. This one is about Erik and Arya. He is a star football player, worshipped on campus and is known as the "Viking". Arya is on the dance team and is a beautiful singer. I loved the characters and how their story develops. Sparks fly between them and these two are combustible together. Throw in a serial killer and danger you get an incredible story!
Yes! Twisted Demands did not disappoint at all. From the beginning it was fast paced which made diving in so easy. There was enough Casanova suspense in the first two books that made me want to keep reading and its conclusion was epic. I was looking forward for The Vikings book knowing it wouldn’t disappoint, it was thrilling and exciting.
Erik is the perfect mix of sugar & spice, tough & gruff. He is fiercely protective and so caring of Arya. Arya is an absolute firecracker, strong, stubborn, witty and loyal, she kept a tough exterior to hide her inner turmoil.
The chemistry between the two was off the charts & because of how opposite they were made them perfect for each other🖤
Wow, what a rollercoaster ride this series was!!! From the beginning, this book was fast-paced which made diving in so easy. There was enough Casanova suspense in the first two books that made me want to keep reading and its conclusion was epic. Ayra seems to hate Erik for something that happened in the past. However, they cannot deny their attraction to each other. They push each other buttons but also take care of the other when in need. They make a good team and balance each other out. This was the conclusion to the Dark Knights Series and I loved how everything falls together in this book.
This was more exciting than the previous one, but only because the killer is finally revealed. The reason for the murders is totally bogus. Is that word used anymore? Anyway I thought the explanation was weak…
I do like the Viking, because he’s a really good character. He’s been written as a well rounded person who can still be a regular guy. Declan is still the mysterious man who can get things done, and Shane is still close to both of them. Their women are now definitely in their circle and are under the men’s protection. Not that it helped when the girls got abducted!
Erik Sorensen. Yum! His story did not disappoint. Being the final book in this series, I was expecting a lot to be inside these pages. It was jam-packed with so much goodness. So many things were revealed quite spectacularly, puzzle pieces finally made sense and fit together, and all 3 couples got what I would consider their Happy For Now endings. I am voluntarily leaving a review after receiving an ARC.
This is Book 3 in the Dark Knights Series by this author. It is a dark college romance between Arya and Erik. These likeable characters, the undeniable connection and chemistry, and the unique plot make for an intriguing read. It is a thrill ride with some steam, drama, suspense, humor, twists and turns, and engaging secondary characters to keep the reader interested. An emotional love story.

Twisted Demands is the final book in the Dark Knights series and is Erik and Arya’s story. The serial killer known as Casanova is still targeting college girls and Erik is assigned to protect her. With the other couples from the previous books, they use their wits and knowledge to capture the killer and protect the campus. Twisted Demands is a satisfying conclusion to the series and I’m sure fans will think so too. It has drama and romance and a thrilling plot. Read it!
