Through The Fire
With a bag full of cash and a car as broken as her childhood dreams,
Leslie Whitaker finds herself stuck in a small town and a person of
interest to a man she's not sure she can trust. Nightmares plague her
sleep while her days are spent looking over her shoulder, waiting for
her past to finally catch up. She finds what solace she can in the arms
of a complete stranger, where, ironically, she feels the safest she's

Trace Williams is intrigued by the sexy woman whom he finds stranded

I love me some good cowboy stories! This one did not disappoint! The right amount of spice to plot was great. I connected with Leslie on many levels and Trace was the ideal of a sexy cowboy gentleman. He showed her how to feel and open up but she got scared. Trace did his damnedest to make her see he is worth the trust and love he has for her. Gave me the shivers!!

Leslie breaks down in the middle of nowhere Montana. She starts walking when she’s discovered by Trace (who happens to be on a horse)! The chemistry is instantaneous. He’s a loner who runs his family ranch, and she’s running hoping her past isn’t able to find her. She falls in love with the small town but can’t help but feel she’s being watched. Leslie has to make decisions about her future and how much of her past to tell Trace. Trace has to decide if he wants to finally let Leslie beyond the barriers he’s put in place following is own previous tragedy,

What a heart-wrenching story filled with so much pain but so much hope and strength! Leslie is a Phoenix, rising from the ashes of a horrible life to become strong, self reliant, and keeping a generous heart. Leslie doesn’t allow herself to be bitter or to give up. Trace is a closed off man who was burned by a past love, so it’s no wonder he tried his hardest to keep Leslie at arms length. But like a moth to a flame, they keep getting drawn to each other. But each are harboring secrets, pain, and mysteries that get in their way of any potential long term happiness. After Leslie is practically forced from the small town they met in, they both realize how miserable they are alone and how they’d each love a second chance. They do, but not before Leslie is brutally attacked and her life is on the line. Trace is more than willing to get in on her search to bring her back home where she belongs.
There’s so much to adore about this book; the strong characters, the storyline that keeps you on the edge of your seat, the details that all get sorted by the end, and the beautiful HEA the characters get to live out for the rest of their days.

I absolutely loved the cowboy side of the story, the John Wayne references. I like a good cowboy story and I loved that it was not over powering. The small town close knit community side was just what you could visually see when reading. Now for Trace and Leslie, she had a rough life and was just looking for a place to put down roots and stop running. Trace was a hardened cowboy the was blamed for something he didn’t do and wasn’t so liked but was okay with it. They were just what the doctored ordered for each other.

OMG Trace is fiiiine!. A sexy cowboy in his stetson and so gentlmanly it makes you swoon. The book starts off with the spice level at an ahhmazingly high level and I am. Here. For. It!! Leslie is a great FMC and I love her strength. The drama of the story makes for great reading and it was truly a book worth immersing yourself in.

Through The Fire

Through the fire, it was not what I was thinking when I read the title. I was not expecting the turn of events that led Leslie to where it would all end. The book starts with Leslie driving down a dark road that is supposed to be taking her to her next safe location. However, she didn’t heed the warning of that little light on the dash that was telling her that she needed to have her car repaired.
Trace was out riding his beautiful stallion named Max when he happens upon an abandoned car on the edge of his property, he didn’t know who it belonged to but he was heading in the direction he hoped would lead him right to them. He was not expecting what he found, a beautiful blonde.
She didn’t know if she could trust him, and he was not sure he wanted to have her around. They were both scared because of past relationships, one of abuse and one of lies, and neither of them were ready for that heartbreak again. They learned to trust one another and let themselves heal.
The story ends with a twist I was not expecting. I won’t say more as I don’t want to spoil if for you so I will just say….. GO READ THE BOOK!

A wonderful whirlwind of a romance story with many twists in the tale.
Lesley Whitaker was running away from the life she had and the people she no longer wanted in her life. Carrying only a few belongings and cash she was travelling around the country wherever the next pushpin took her.
When her tatty old car breaks down several miles outside of Jackson, she was prepared to walk into town even though it would take her quite some time. She was hoping someone would drive by who could give her a lift into town. The last thing she expected was a tall dark handsome cowboy on his horse to come to her rescue!
Trace couldn't believe his luck in coming across a beautiful petite woman walking the road to Jackson. He does the only thing he can and rescues her, taking her back to his home for the night with the promise of ensuring she can continue her journey the next day. However fate has a different idea and Lesley ends up staying longer than she planned in Jackson which has a big impact on the rest of her life.

This is a new to me author.
This is a newer author how ever reading this it comes off as a very experienced author.
The 2 main lead characters are strong independent souls. With heartache and betrayal in their past and many layers to who they are as a person. As secrets get revealed and the characters grow through out the book the author has the ability to make u feel it all and breath life in to this story. Please remember trigger warnings as you will be on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen and why. By the end of the story every reader should be happy with the ending. This was a great read and i cant wait to read more from this author. I recomend this book to everyone to read and enjoy.

Leslie is celebrating her freedom from a relationship gone wrong when she finds herself SOL in the middle of nowhere Montana. Her car has finally given out in her and she has a 5+ mile hike on her hands. Enter Cowboy trace running his land and stumbles upon Leslie’s car and then the women man herself. Insta-desire at its finest. Though they both come if guarded and very private they cannot help the desire they feel for each other at first sight. Read the trigger warnings please. Abuse, violence, and even rape are discussed during this story. I loved how the story built up and I cannot even imagine all that Trace and Leslie have been through. Super heart warming and fast read. Definitely so glad they got their HEA! Would read again!

This book portrayed the perfect blend of finding a second chance at happiness, coming up on top of circumstances, and overcoming things that would break others. I dont typically read this type of romance, but it still caught my eye and kept my interest. The MMC was of course, a dark broody cowboy, who def hit all the marks of being a great MMC. And the FMC was fierce, and showed she was ready to take on the world alone, even when she figured out she didnt have to. The story had a few twists and turns, and a good amount of drama to it, but it all ended in an amazing HEA with justice being served.

Her car breaks down and she ends up in the arms in Trace, a super sexy rancher with a deep past. After everything they have been through the work to find a way to happiness. I love the tropes in this book; he falls first, hidden past, old fashioned love story. I would recommend this story to someone who likes their romance with a side of suspense and possible triggers. Always check your trigger warnings.
