Once a courtesan known as The Countess, now Zara Cooper is a thief, alongside her partner and lover, Peregrine “Hux” Huxley. But when they’re caught at their games by handsome and mysterious Richard Fitzroy, a little bit of blackmail quickly turns to enormous pleasure.
After watching Hux and Zara together, Richard is drawn to them in a way he’s not felt for a long time. When he offers an indecent proposal for pleasure with them both, in exchange for his silence on their crimes, they fall into a passion so powerful it overtakes them all.
Hux has protected Zara for years, her lover and hero. But when their criminal past comes back to disrupt their pleasurable fantasy, it will be up to him to decide if he will trust his two lovers to protect him or surrender himself for their benefit.
Heat Level: Indecent proposals always make an eReader melt.
Jess Michaels is a USA Today Bestselling Author who likes geeky stuff like Star Wars, playing video games (she ships herself with Dragon Age’s Iron Bull FOREVER), Bob’s Burgers and collecting POPs! She also drinks a LOT of Diet Coke. Probably an unhealthy amount, but it’s her only vice. She will eat (almost) anything coconut, truly anything cheesy and nothing spicy (yes, she is a walking stereotype when it comes to that). She likes cats, her dog Elton and people who care about the welfare of their fellow humans.
Although she started out traditionally published by Avon/HarperCollins, Pocket, Hachette and Samhain Publishing, in 2015 she went fully indie and has never looked back! She is lucky enough to be married to her favorite person in the world and live tucked between the ocean and the mountains in Oregon.
When she’s not watching Our Flag Means Death or trying out all the new flavors of Greek yogurt, she writes historical romances with smoking hot heroes and sassy heroines who do anything but wait to get what they want.
I have been a fan of Ms. Michaels' work for many years now, and I have to say that this series has been one of her best.
Long-time thief Peregrine Huxley (aka "Hux") and former mistress to the earls Zara Cooper have been partners in their game (relieving those with excess wealth of some easily fenced items) and lovers for many years. They enjoy infiltrating parties and balls posing as though they belong, and while Zara's exquisite beauty lures in the toffs, Hux lifts a pair of cuff links here, a loose watch there, and they find themselves excited (in every way!) by their sport.
One evening, as Zara and Hux are enjoying their spoils and each other, they are unknowingly observed from a darkened corner of the room. Richard Fitzroy, a wealthy spare, has not felt drawn to anyone in many years as much as he feels a pull towards both Zara and Hux. He finds himself inviting them to a house party he will be hosting... a party of 3 if all goes well.
Zara and Hux are also drawn to Richard, though they are unsure of his motives. When they arrive at the house party and discover they are the only guests, Richard proposes a week of enjoying each other and giving into their mutual desires. Zara and Hux agree, and soon the trio finds themselves enamored of each other. The week has passed by and no one has made a move to end their affair until an investigator arrives at Richard's home in search of Zara and Hux at the behest of a very persistent gentleman whose pocket watch was recently lifted.
How will Richard respond? What will happen with Hux and Zara if they are turned in? Will they flee or fight for this newfound happiness of threes?

3.5 stars rounded up
Whether fair or not, I’m not sure, but when I was thinking about how many stars I’d give this novella, I couldn’t help but compare it to the first two in the series, Their Marchioness and Their Duchess. I loved the first two; this one I liked, but it didn’t quite have the magic for me that the first two did.
I was instantly enamored with Hux and Zara; enamored with their soulmate-like connection, their devotion to one another, and the intense heat they shared. Two thieves, living on the edge, taking mad risks and getting off on the danger, yes, but also so much more. The little bit of their individual and shared backstories the author gave us was so intriguing to me that I would have loved a full length novel of their story before they met Richard. They were hotness personified and damn if they didn’t Make. Me. Burn.
”Right now, there is only one spoil I want to take, Zara.”
Her breath was short now as she shifted, bunching her dress around her hips so he could see she wore nothing beneath.
“Fucking minx,” he muttered, his fingers sliding beneath the folded silk and gripping her bare thighs as she lowered herself over his hard cock and took him deep inside in one slick thrust.
And then it was magic, one she had studied for years with this man. She rode him, pressing her forehead to his, their gazes locked, their breath matching as she ground toward her pleasure.
They went on like that for a while, not too long due to the danger, but long enough that the edge of release teased.
“I want to feel it Zara, let me feel it,” he whispered, his voice rough.
Richard fell flat for me, and his insta-love wasn’t quite believable. I loved his dominance in bed, especially with Zara, and how he intuitively knew just how to handle Hux, who was very skittish about letting Richard in. It’s hard for me to put my finger on what, exactly, I felt his character was lacking. Maybe he just seemed a little two-dimensional compared to Hux and Zara.
This novella continued the theme found in the first two; that of a man and a woman who love each other, who have years of history together, amazing physical chemistry and a deep emotional connection… but the love between them remains unspoken and all feel on a subconscious level that something intangible is missing. The joy they feel when together they meet a man and realize it’s not something that’s been missing, but rather someone. A fantastic theme that could be explored endlessly and I’d be one very happy reader.
I was kind of bummed when I picked this up and began reading, because I assumed it was the final novella in a series I’ve really enjoyed. But, there’s icing on this sweet little cake and this note from the author, in the ARC preface, made my day:
This book is for all the readers who fell in love with this series as much as I did when I wrote it! Look for more coming next year! You guys made my “comeback” so amazing!
If you will keep writing them, Ms Michaels, it will be my pleasure to keep reading them!
I highly recommend this series to lovers of well-written historical erotica. All three novellas were filled with intense connection, super smokin hot sex, and emotional depth and I cannot wait for the next.
(I found Mr Wren to be an interesting side character and really wanted him to join Hux, Zara and Richard 😈. Maybe he’ll get his own story?)
Former courtesan Zara Cooper now makes her way as a thief, along with her partner and lover, Peregrine “Hux” Huxley. When a mysterious gentleman, Richard Fitzroy, catches them in their antics, what Hux and Zara fear will be blackmail becomes something entirely more enjoyable.
Upon seeing the connection between Zara and Hux, Richard is shocked to find himself feeling things he’d thought never to feel again. He offers them a rather indecent proposal for one week of their time, but that quickly turns into something much more than any of them could have anticipated.
Of course, this story was super steamy, that should be no surprise. What did surprise me, however, was just how deeply emotional it was, especially for a novella. Hux and Zara already had an established connection and sizzling chemistry, but adding Richard into the mix seemed to give them both the catalyst they needed to open up to each other about their feelings. This was especially true for Hux, who had some abandonment issues and always felt a need to protect Zara while resisting anyone doing the same for him. Richard, a widower, had had an arranged marriage with little emotion involved and meeting Zara and Hux woke him up a bit. These three each brought out the vulnerability in each other and in such a way that it made them all stronger together and I enjoyed reading the development of their dynamic.
Jess Michaels is one of my favorite authors. I have read, including this one, 67 of her books. I started reading her way back in 2015 with The Notorious Flynns series.
I liked this book. Personally, not a huge fan of ménage à trois'. I mean, I don't mind reading a ménage à trois' trope on occasion but they are just not my favorite. I liked the knight in shining armor, not the knight(s) in shining armor. :)
Overall though, I really did like this one. Hux, Zara and Richard seemed a good match. Plus sex was super hot!!!!
Genre: MFM historical erotica England, 19th century
Zara Cooper, former courtesan known as the Countess, and her partner Peregrine “Hux” Huxley, love nothing more than to enter a world of wealth and power, command a room, and lift a few jewels. Well, that and a passionate tryst right afterwards. They don’t realize on one occasion, though, that they are being watched by Richard Fitzroy. Richard is a man of power and wealth, and yet stands apart from the gentry and aristocrats himself. He finds himself drawn to Zara and Hux, and watching them brings out a passion in him long forgotten. When Richard invites Zara and Hux to his estate, they think they can use him as a mark, while Richard thinks he can win their hearts.
An erotic novella that starts with a theft and a bang in the first ten pages?! Sign me up. I was on board with this one from the beginning, having enjoyed the dynamics in the previous book in this series, Their Duchess. Adding a bit of class difference and a touch of thievery to a MFM love story gives it just enough plot to keep me engaged. I’m rarely a smut for smut’s sake reader, but Jess Michaels’s erotica has just enough plot and character for me to also really enjoy the explicit and intimate scenes. While not groundbreaking, this was thoroughly enjoyable, and Michaels gives us several scenes with all three, as well as separate scenes with each pairing, making it clear that Zara, Hux, and Richard care deeply for each other.
Thank you to Passionate Pen LLC for an eARC for review.
This novella is definitely high on the heat and a quick and fast read for anyone looking for a delicious way to spend an evening. Jess Michaels’ keeps the steam high, with a light plot and fast paced ménage romance that sees all members of the party well satisfied with each other.
The heroine of this novella is referenced as a countess but in reality she is a courtesan who has been making her way in society as a thief with her partner and lover Hux. The additional hero who gets thrown in the mix is a gentleman who finds them both intriguing and cleverly realizes what they are doing. I think Jess Michaels does a lovely job of swiftly laying out the situations and then working to ramp up the chemistry between all three of the main characters. This novel is the third in this series and I did find it to be lower on the angst and a bit more light on the building of love between all three of the members in this relationship. This novella is hot, and we do see the way the heroes and the heroine come together and are beginning to build trust, but the depth of emotion I found in the other novellas in this series was a bit more lacking in this one.
Overall, this is still a well written erotic romance that was the perfect fast paced read. Jess Michaels’ is definitely an author to explore and this series is a great introduction to her work.
Thank you to the Publisher and NetGalley for an eARC, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
Book 3 of “Theirs” series. This very sensual and carnal story also has 3 great characters who almost jump off the pages. They all have become adults in disparate situations. A former courtesan (now thief), a thief (former orphan), and rich gentry. The thieves get a thrill from attending balls uninvited and relieving the ton of some jewelry and cash—until Zara and Hux are seen making love and showing off their spoils by Richard Fitzroy. Richard is drawn to the duo like it’s a strange magnetic force. An invitation to his country estate brings about some interesting situations. You must read it to realize their ardor and see whether they can understand their inexplicable feelings.
I loved that Richard was so honest and open with Zara and Hux. He didn’t play any games. It was unnerving that Hux felt such low self-esteem and unworthy of Zara and Richard. It was short and sensual, but had a great plot and characters.
I received a free copy of the book in advance and am leaving this review voluntarily.
I received an arc from NetGalley for an honest review.
If you are looking for a mfm ménage that is deep in the erotica but has just enough plot then this short novel is for you. This is definitely more on the erotica side of the romance/smut/erotica triangle. The majority of the book was the physical interaction between Zara,Hux & Fitzroy. But Jess balances a growing emotional connection between the three, a brief conflict from Zara and Hux’s criminal activities and a lot of steamy ménage action very well. This is true ménage in that Hux and Fitroy are as interested in each other as they are in Zara. Highly recommend for this historical mfm erotica fans.
Their Countess by Jess Michaels ⭐️⭐️⭐️.25/5 🔥🔥🔥🔥/5
When you read the description of the book, you know what you're in for. This is a MFM historical romance and if you're looking for a no-nonsense/straight-to-the-point type of spice this is for you!
As far as spice goes this book delivers, but I did end up wanting more depth in the characters. Yes, I know it is a novella, but I wanted the same amount of attention and detail paid to Richard's character as there was to Zara's and Hux's. There was a sort of insta-lust to their whole throuple that fell flat.
The majority of the story focused on the romantic relationship between Zara and Hux, as well as their backstory. It added more nuance to why they are the way they are and the dynamic of their relationship with one another. The author touched on some sensitive subjects without going "too much in the weeds", which I think did well in this case. But if I'm being honest I would have read a full-length novel about these two because DAMN. The chemistry was HOT.
I think I also wanted more thievery on Zara and Hux's part, I wanted to hear more about the thrill of stealing from the rich groups they frequented but were never a part of! There was only a hint at the beginning and end of the novella, give me more crimes!
A bit predictable character and plot-wise but a fun romp regardless.

After finding their rhythm together as a double act to steal from the rich, Hux and Zara risk it all to be together. And when they are spotted by the wrong person, who invites them to his home with his own agenda, can they keep their heads in the face of pleasure? For the first time since losing his wife and child, Richard Fitzroy is attracted to someone, to two someones, and he has leverage over them. Hoping they will be willing to join him, Richard finds that he is more out of his comfort zone than he expected.
I expected that this book would be hot and steamy, especially after reading the two previous books, and Jess did not disappoint. Their Countess sees Zara Cooper, former courtesan and thief, and her partner (in all things), Peregrine Huxley, make a mistake at a party, and be caught stealing (and being intimate) by Richard. They don't realise it, though, and think that the invite to his country 'house party' would be the best opportunity for another take. But they are the only people invited, and are caught red handed with his belongings. Richard gives them a deal - have a week of ecstasy, or leave. He won't blackmail them, but he hopes they will choose his preferred option. Like with the previous books, there's not much of a plot, but even so, this was enjoyable. I'm looking forward to what Jess has next.
I really liked this one! Just a fun, steamy addition to Michaels’ ongoing series that didn’t dip too deep into angst and set up a refreshing dynamic between two career thieves and the aristo who finds himself drawn to them both. They’re engaging enough to devour in a day but this whole series will be sticking with me for a while — I think Michaels is really skilled at pacing and making sure the story is as fleshed out as it can be for the page length we get. (Also, one of the heroes is inspired by Taika? I was sold from the jump, really.) More true, swords-crossing triads in histrom, please!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I read the three books in this series and what you see is what you get. They are fun to read with threesome romance. There is no hardcore and complex plot but still enjoyable. A bit heavier on the romance and sex scenes with a dash of emotion.
Hux, Zara and Richard make a wonderfully threesome. I love how protective and respectful Hux is with Zara then how Richard fits with them as well.
I think the first one was my favorite but I enjoy how each book has a different set of characters and how they are all brought together by difference circumstances. Can’t wait for Jess Michaels next book/series because I will pretty much read anything she writes!
*Received via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review*
The third installment (and last unfortunately) in this novella mmf series by Jess Michaels may be my favorite of the three.
I enjoyed this so much! The length was perfect and the balance between the plot and the steam was excellent. If you like a decent plot with your steam and you want a historical romance, look no further.
Just like the last 2 novellas, the steam is top notch. Especially the scene between Hux and Richard, it was so emotional and you could just sense the love between them, even though Hux couldn’t actually say the words.
Thank you Netgalley and Victory Editing for providing a copy for review.
I received an ARC from the publisher via NetGalley and am voluntarily posting a review. All opinions are my own. Their Countess is the third in Jess Michaels’ Theirs series, and the best of the three, in my personal opinion. It incorporates some elements I liked from each of the first two to create a truly satisfying sensual and emotional experience. Zara is an instantly relatable heroine, and I like how she went from a situation as a courtesan where she was disempowered and in the hands of men who didn’t treat her right to making her way in the world, more or less on her own terms. Hux in particular really stole the show for me. He’s the typical mysterious, yet rather sweet love interest, and I really loved how he had Zara’s best interests at heart throughout their entire relationship. He rescued her from a bad situation with a former “protector,” and never pressured her into anything, in spite of his feelings for her. And when their thievery puts her at risk, he’s prepared to give her up and take full responsibility because he thinks she’ll be better off. There were so many moments with him that made me melt. And while Richard’s involvement is initially purely voyeuristic, he comes to fit seamlessly with Hux and Zara. He becomes invested in their well-being, and is determined to protect them from authorities out to capture them. The way he shares Hux’s instinct to protect Zara, but also Zara’s desire to protect Hux from his own self-sacrificing nature is beautiful. This book is one of my favorite Jess Michaels books to date, and I’d recommend it to anyone who’s looking for a good example of her work, especially if they enjoy erotic and/or polyamorous historical romance.
Sizzling sensual story with a HEA ending for Zara, Hux, and Richard. This trio might not have been my favorite in the series but I know when I pick up a book by this author that I will finish the last page totally satisfied…and I did.
What I liked: * Zara: survivor, ex-courtesan, beautiful, knows what she want and isn’t afraid to ask for it, giving, caring, and loving * Huxley: survivor, thief, on the streets early in life, lives on the edge, possible thrill seeker, protective, caring, genuine – really liked him * Richard: widow, wealthy, dominant, taken with Zara and Hux, reaches for what he wants but does not take what is not freely given, generous, caring, compassionate…intriguing man * Watching the relationship develop between the three main characters and watching them grow, share, and find their future together * Gilbert Wren: investigator, interested me, wondered if he might show up in a future book, seemed wise and knowledgeable * That I became invested in the story and the characters * All of it really except…
What I didn’t like: * Thinking about the difficult times the characters experienced – all three had difficulties that had to be dealt with in the past * That I wanted to know more about all three than I had in this novella and would like to find out how they were doing further into the future
Did I enjoy this book? Yes Would I read more by this author? Yes
Thank you to NetGalley and Passionate Pen for the ARC – this is my honest review.
Book 3 of the "Theirs" series by Jess Michaels, is everything you have come to expect and more! Another beautifully written sensual love story. Again we have a menage', there are Zara and Hux, who encounter Richard, a member of the aristocracy when he approaches the pair after witnessing them in a very sensual, hot meeting after robbing the elite of society at a ball they all attended. Richard invites them to his home where he offers a proposition they find hard to refuse. Feeling the strong pull of attraction amongst the three, they embark on a sensual adventure until their idyllic situation is interrupted by a man commissioned to find Zara and Hux by a member of the ton they stole from. As in the previous novels, Michaels spins a beautiful, sensual story of three misfits who find each other and embark on a relationship that transcends all others. Written so feelingly and with such grace and beauty you can not help but get emotionally connected. And really, really hot too, did I mention that? Highly recommend, with warnings that this beautiful story contains explicit M/M, M/M/F, M/F, scenes that some may find offensive, if you do then this book is not for you and you are missing a beautiful story. Thank you to Passionate Pen LLC., and to Net Galley for the free ARC, I am leaving my honest review voluntarily.

Another sizzling story by Jess Michaels. This author does a great job of creating interesting characters who need to overcome a troubled past to clear their way to a future together and incorporating erotic, sensual ménage sex. In this case, we are introduced to two thieves, Hux and Zara, who infiltrated a ton ball to pick pockets and steal jewels off unsuspecting nobles. The pair were unaware Richard was observing their actions, even spying on the couple during their sexual encounter when they retreated to enjoy their spoils. Observing this vibrant couple brought Richard out of melancholy and back to life. Richard invited Hux and Zara to his estate hoping to form a ménage union. He was attracted to both Zara and Hux, and Hux was equally attracted to Richard. Yes, there is a lot of page melting sex in the story (mf, mm, mmf) this is the genre. The story is well written, the characters are interesting, the story is fast paced, and we get an “hea”. SPOILER ALERT: I did knock this down to 4 stars because I was uncomfortable with the idea that Richard joined his two lovers in their thievery occupation. Richard was obviously well off so they didn’t need to steal to live as Zara and Hux did. This is a great series, hopefully more stories will be added for our enjoyment.
Zara and Hux have been a thieving team for years -- traversing stuffy ballrooms for new marks and then reveling in each other afterwards.
But when a particular gentleman named Richard notices them at the latest ball and invites them to a private party, they have no idea that he plans to have them both for himself.
I liked this one a lot! I think it's my favorite of the three in the series so far.
I loved the dynamic between Zara and Hux and how they are thieves -- so thrilling! I also loved how Richard fit into their already established duo. It all worked out perfectly.
The sex was super hot and they all had great chemistry together. Hux and Zara especially, but also them all together too.
I also liked how in the end they all stay together and end up continuing their games, but by targeting marks who are not good people.
The only thing I would've loved would've been a twist that Richard was an Earl and Zara would've ended up a true Countess after marrying him (instead of it just being a nickname).
Overall it was a great shorter erotic historical mmf romance. Hot and sexy and fun times.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
This is a historical MMF that's hot, fun, and brings a little emotion to the table. If you're in it for the swords crossing mediated by a woman who knows what she wants, then you've found a winner.
Oh, you want more? OK, OK! The "countess" isn't really a countess, that was just Zara's name back when she was a celebrated courtesan. Now she's a thief along with her friend, Hux. One day, as they are celebrating a successful heist by wearing the jewels they stole while having sex in the library of a house where a ball is still in progress, they're so enthralled by each other that they don't even notice another man watching them. But Richard sure notices them! He's taken with them both and invites them back to his place for a house party of three.
You know what happens: they all get it on with each other everywhere they can. When it seems like they might be pursued for their crimes, they find the faith in their throuple to work things out. This series gives you exactly what you want from MMF historical er0tic romance without any playing around.
This objective review is based on a complimentary copy of the novel.
This delicious novella starts with Zara, a former courtesan known as the Countess, and Hux, her partner in life and crime, attending a ball and picking the pockets of those in attendance. They take a break from their thieving for a romantic interlude and are witnessed by Richard, a party attendee. Richard invites the pair to his estate under the guise of a party but when they arrived there is only Richard. The three begin a steamy yet loving affair that they can’t seem to quit.
I really enjoyed the previous book in this series, Their Duchess, and liked this one equally as well. I was expecting Zara to be another aristocrat given her nickname so I was happy to find that she was lower class. I always enjoy a play on class structure. Like the last one, this book is MMF so everyone gets to enjoy each other’s company. I also liked the thieving aspect of the book because it too added an extra layer to the story that made this book feel like a real novella rather than a short erotic story.
Thank you to NetGalley and Passionate Pen for the ARC in exchange for an honest review
Their Countess continues Jess Michaels' Theirs series, with Zara Cooper, Peregrine 'Hux' Huxley, and Richard Fitzroy. Zara and Hux are talented thieves who prey on the wealthy and have some fun while they do it. Hux is a lifelong thief, and Zara is a former courtesan who gained the nickname of Countess, as many of her clients were earls. Richard spots them at a party and is immediate fascinated by their dynamic, so he proposes a week of passion. Zara and Hux share a past and their own histories, and even Richard has some secrets of his own.
While I think Their Marchioness is still my favorite in this trilogy, I'm impressed that Their Countess still felt unique with its own characters and its own story despite following a similar dynamic to the rest of the series. Even the intimate scenes still felt fresh.
Zara is such a strong woman after overcoming her obstacles, and it was great to see Zara and Richard help Hux overcome his obstacles, which presented the main conflict of the story. I wish we could have gotten a longer scene at the end with Richard involved, because I was really interested in that dynamic.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book through Netgalley and the publisher. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Zara Cooper once a courtesan was known as The Countess, now she’s a thief, alongside her partner and lover, Peregrine “Hux” Huxley. The third book in this trilogy & another hot & steamy read, which I read in a sitting. I loved both Zara & Hux but felt I didn’t really get to know Richard & would have liked for the novella to be longer so that his character could have been developed more. However I thoroughly enjoyed it but not my favourite of the series My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read
This was, for me, the weakest novella in the "Theirs Series." Now, it for sure checked all the boxes of this fantastic MMF trio of stories, it just didn't quite have the same overall feeling of the other two. The premise of some Ocean's Eleven style thievery and hot romance was fun, but the plot felt fast and flat in comparison. I think the key here is that Richard's immediate willingness to jump all in on being part of a crime trio felt out of character for what little we knew about him. The tragic back stories were slightly more trite as well. While I still highly recommend the entire series (and the author in general), I would have liked to have seen a stronger finale to the collection.
Their Countess by Jess Michaels is the third book in Theirs series. This is an MFM storyline.
Zara is a former courtesan turned thief. She has the perfect guise and distracts the mark and her partner Peregrine “Hux” Huxley goes in for the grab. They've been able to talk their way out of sticky situations in the past, but this time they have let their guard down and are faced with a unique proposal. Richard wants to add excitement to his life and Zara and Hux are the perfect addition. Now they have to decide if they can be more than moving bodies, can they find each other's hearts as well.
Not what I was expecting, but loved it nonetheless! Hux and Zara are grifters working a party when Richard figures out their game. He invites them to a house party which they can’t resist, but they are the only guests and he has an intriguing proposition for them.
I love this series and the MMF aspect of it. Zara is called a countess because of her previous life as a courtesan so it was surprising that the book is not about true nobility. Michaels writes characters with such great chemistry that it is hard to put her books down.
Thanks to the publisher for a review copy via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Their Countess was the third story in a MFM Regency romance. It has a heat level of high. After witnessing Hux and Zara in a parlour during a ball, Richard decided to invite them to his estate for a week of fun. They had discussed the theft of a jewelled watch, and decided to celebrate. Unbeknown to them, Richard was already in a dark corner of the room, and witnessed their interaction. Needless to say, it has a HEA, but not before their future is rocked by an investigator looking into the theft of the watch.
I love historical erotica --Hux and Zara are partners in crime and lovers. Zara was a courtesan before she meet Hux - not living the life she wanted. Hux saved her from that life and they went to the town to have a thrill stealing.
Richard is a widower who has a taste that not everyone has accepted. He noticed Zara and Hux right away. He wanted both of them
This story gives the right mix of spice with a back story. Each character had a detailed story as to how they ended up in their current position
This was a short read and it did what it was supposed to
They were thieves and him a gentleman, he observed them picking a few pockets at a ball where they didn't belong and then watched them come together on a sofa in a parlor. Richard invited them to his home outside of London they came to an understanding and screwed each other for the rest of their lives. This book was very steamy as were the other two. I highly recommend this book! 👍👍👍👍👍❤❤❤❤❤
