why gotta make him a cheater tho 😩 he was so perfectt. psychotic masochistic obsessed boy with his creepy ass smile following her around. and in the first vol (i think) when he dropped his facade and offer to sell her into prostitution coz she turned out to be normal and not what he expected, resulting in her not being valuable anymore to him… my heart literally burst theres no other way of saying it. but it ended. he fell in love w her again (understandable, but it was just getting juicy cmon), which werent the problem, him getting so touchy & intimate & sweet w another girl after claiming so did it
… fortunately hes also the kind of dude id make the exception for. got over it pretty early on coz yoshino didnt give two shits anyway. didnt even embarrass herself one sec, im not even sure its possible for her to do so. step on me u both
Kirishima is truly the biggest piece of trash and shit of all the biggest pieces of trash and shits, but I still somehow like him and even at times swoon at what he does and says—which makes me really question if there’s something wrong with me.
Why did he have to be a cheater?? He was already a bit creepy but that made him worse. The train scene was cute tho! He cares abt her in his own way and it does sometimes comes across as a little.. off?
The other guy got introduced and I'm getting second male lead syndrome again. Shouma is hot and just the better person in this case (I'm sorry). (photo of him attached beneath)
In general I'm liking the story, the FL isn't a weak girl and I love to see that!! I honestly find the artstyle beautiful too
The second book to this series wasn't as great as the first one but it did still have a lot of plot twists that will pull you in. The violence and lying is a big part of the plot in this book. But, I feel like the relationship between the two main characters is slowly starting to build into something.
Okay things towards the end are getting interesting. I think I might give myself a buffer of volumes to binge so I don’t forget plot points between publication.
I liked seeing Yoshino swinging around that hair-dryer so fearlessly! I like that her bravery and intelligence is displayed more and more. It’s a shame I’m still not fond of Kirishima. But I believe that’s intentional cause it mirrors Yoshino’s feelings for him.
Shouma makes me weak!! His design is vanilla but he’s so fine!!
Plot wise I was kinda bored until the very end. I’ll be back for volume three.
male lead is so unhinged that he sneaks into her room at night right after he cheated on her and braids her hair while she’s sleeping. she tells him that she knew he was cheating and doesn’t care and if someone she actually loved cheated on her she’ll kill them and bro tells her that by her logic he wants her to kill him too and when she said she doesn’t want to become a murderer over someone she doesn’t care about he asks her if she hates him… bro what??? 😭
This series is quickly becoming a favorite. The art style is different so go in knowing that, but the way the story is mixing together thriller/suspense stuff with a romance plot line is everything.
I’m not bothered by the fact that Kirishima keeps lovers other than Yoshino the same way other readers are. The way I see it, Yoshino truly does not care and Kirishima being a total slut is part of his comedic value as a love interest.
I think, in general, this series gets away with all of its toxicity just because almost everything is played for laughs. A lot of the characters and plotlines presented would fit just as well in a shitty Kindle Unlimited mafia romance. I think where this series diverges is in its constant situational comedy vibe. I couldn’t read a novel where this was all presented as a serious romantic drama.
A yakuza psychopath’s love language? Apparently it’s: “I was going to sell my cornea to prove my sincerity to you.” Like… okay Nicholas Sparks, but unhinged???
This volume continues the wild, messy, and morally-questionable energy of Vol. 1, and I’m still not totally sure if I’m horrified or entertained—but I am turning the pages. The main lead is still giving “emotionally unstable with a knife,” and yet somehow the main girl’s stubborn refusal to back down keeps everything weirdly balanced. Their chemistry is insane in both senses of the word.
Now—can we talk about the fact he was sleeping with other girls??? UGH. 🙄🙄🙄 It drives me crazy, even though I get that it’s supposed to reflect how detached and reckless he is. Like yeah, realism or whatever, but sir, please get your toxic priorities in order.
That said, the story continues to be addictively dramatic and full of those “wait, WHAT?!” moments. It’s messy, it’s morally gray, it’s a trainwreck you kinda can’t look away from—and I’m probably going to keep reading.
Because if he sells one more organ for love, I need to be there to see it.
"Masochistic-dangerous-two faced-manwhore", indeed ma'am. Also a cheater. I always hate a cheater. But he's not 'normal' so i can't judge 💁🏻♀️ i'll be so damned for let this happen but he's.... 🤦🏻♀️ and she's so mature. Love her ugh. AND SHOUMA. OMG TORIASHI SHOUMAAAAA 🥵💘
encountering many different issues here. 1. i dont like that he's (still) sleeping with other women. idk i like my ml much more dedicated but hes psychopathic so he probably doesnt understand the emotional connotations. 2. i SO prefer shouma hes so much hotter but alas... second love interest it is
I did not expect to enjoy this series so much. I don’t want to put it down. I love the characters and the art style grew on me. I love the crazy eyes. The psycho eyes are the beeeest!
I honestly don’t know if I have the ability to rate this properly. On one hand, it’s entertaining and I enjoy the plot and humour, but on the other the guy is really awful and it’s not .. exactly romance? But I thought it was? So…? I also went in to this not knowing there was a yandere aspect …
Anyways, I’m only reading for Yoshino and Shouma now 😋
The plot is thickening and I'm hooked!! This one did contain some implied sexual content but NOT with the underage MC thank god. Kirishima is even more unhinged and bat shit insane and I'm here for it. It'll be interesting to see if these two actually fall in love with each other and to see who is the REAL mastermind behind all of this!
