This is my first time reading anything by this author “Chiquita Dennie” and I must I enjoyed reading about the 1st book in “The Carrington Duet Series”. Axel and Gigi find themselves in a forbidden romance. This is an entertaining read that is drama filled, action packed, great characters and also a plot that had me turning page after page. Gigi’s future is for her marrying into the Ramini family to forge and strength the mafia cartel. Axel is a trusted guard who has been tasked as Gigi’s bodyguard. Axel and Gigi’s romance is one that is forbidden and the couple have awesome chemistry. Waiting patiently for the next book in this series.

What will Gigi’s do when he learns of Axel’s involvement with is daughter, will Axel be friend or foe?

WOW…

This is how you start a series, but also start your staycation holidays.
I have to admit, I had predicted, mentally, how this story would go. But never saw the twist and the turn of events.
And the crossover from other characters, is definitely a plus. It makes you go back to the other characters and read their stories.

I’m so looking forward to seeing Claimed.

In the book “ Torn” Gigi is the child of a mafia family, this makes her a cartel princess. She will be the one to continue the family tradition and that starts by marrying the man chosen for her. The marriage arranged by her father to strengthen the cartel is something she is dreading. She hates her fiancé and she has been able to delay the wedding. But her free time is quickly dwindling. Her father decides to assign one of his most trusted men to protect her. Gigi is really attracted to Axel her bodyguard and she wants to give in to the desire she has for him. This relationship is forbidden for many reasons, he is bodyguard and an older man. I love the chemistry between these two, it was hot. This book ends on a cliffhanger. This was my first book by the author and cannot wait for the next book in the Carrington Cartel series.

This was a really good start to a new series.
This is my first book by this author & I really enjoyed it.
It has everything you want in a mafia romance, forbidden love, Age-Gap.
Can't wait to read the next book.

There is danger at every turn, Gigi is betrayed by those she held close and that is not the least of the surprises in store for her. This ends on a cliffhanger. This is my first book by the author and cannot wait for the next installment of the story.

I've read several books written by Chiquita Dennie; she is becoming one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of her books.

This is the first book in the Carrington Cartel Duet. The story is about Gig & Axel; she knows she is suppose to marry into the cartel but when her father assigns him as her personal protector they can’t control themselves.

This was a well written book by author Chiquita Dennie! It had everything in it, the author gave you romance, action packed sequences, intensity and great characters. Gigi and Axel were awesome characters whose personalities meshed well together. They had awesome chemistry. The characters were very well developed and the plot was captivating! I’m looking forward to reading more in this series and by this author!.

Axel and Gigi are the stars of this story full of drama, action, danger and fun times. It was fun to read and entertaining. Basically this is was forbidden romance between Axel and Gigi but that made this story so fun with cool characters. Enjoyed it.
