Books about death and dying are particularly hard to review. Since our reactions to them are so uniquely individual, I doubt that anyone's or my own review of the book will be helpful to other readers. When we read, we don't come to the book with a clean slate—we come to it with years of experiences, friendships, and memories that provide us with a vantage point from which to view the story. If, like me, you have a terrible tendency for existentialism, you will find yourself evaluating your own life and relationships alongside the protagonist, which will only heighten your emotional investment in the story. In this tale, Sarathi Sahoo asks thought-provoking questions about life, death, and the mysteries that may possibly exist in between.

The story follows Raj and Kashish, who were head over heels in love with each other and eventually tied the knot. Everything can dramatically change in the blink of an eye. One day, when Raj and Kashish were on vacation in Goa, they were involved in an accident, and as a result, they both lost each other to life and death. Raj's recollection of the events that took place immediately after the crash is of their injured bodies being extracted from the wreckage and taken to the hospital. Little by little, he tries to put the pieces together, to figure out what he's lost, what he still has, and the very difficult choice he has to make.

The connection between Raj and Kashish is sincere; the two of them are head over heels in love, but they also face genuine challenges, not all of which can be resolved with a simple snap of the fingers. Deepak is a wonderful best friend; he is snarky and compelling, and his appearances in the novel are brimming with passion and affection. Beautiful to the point of breaking your heart, this will alter your perspectives on life, love, and family in profound and lasting ways.

In a beautiful painting, the brightest colours appear next to the darkest of lines, and the same is true for this book: the most adorable, compassionate, and beautiful moments are surrounded by despair and sorrow that is so real that you will grin through your tears and sob with a smile. An Imperishable Promise is a book that exemplifies the type of beauty that can only live alongside despair, and as a result, the book shines much brighter. It is filled with joy and sadness, smiles and tears, new life and death, a new beginning and the last farewell, love and heartbreak. By writing a book filled with parallels, Sarathi Sabyasachi Sahoo proves that life has no opposite and thus leaves readers with an overwhelming sense of joy and hope despite the tears and grief that they are bound to experience.

The novel's strength lies in its overall storyline and its outcome, as well as in its meticulous attention to detail. It will be noted that the writing is not flawless. There are several aspects of it that may have benefited from a little more polishing. Some of the passages may have benefited from an additional round of editing. However, the emotional and intellectual depth of this book makes up for any shortcomings in its technical aspects of writing.

An Imperishable Promise is a novel that is primarily concerned with life and death and the ways in which we fail to see the significance of the ordinary events that occur in our daily lives. Author Sarathi Sahoo uses subtleties to tell his story in a deeply emotional and moving way. He crafts beautiful moments out of the most ordinary situations and helps you realise that having a friend who would risk their life for you makes life worth living even if everything else around you appears to be crumbling.

Despite the somewhat depressing nature of the subject matter, this is a narrative of optimism, affirmation of life, and all the perks that come with it. A story like this has the power to alter your perspective on life and prompt you to consider your own preferences in similar circumstances. You will be driven to examine your own life, your priorities, and the finite amount of time you have left. I would recommend reading this book to anybody who is interested in doing some introspection.

What happens to your love when you die? Can love die with the body, is it limited only to physical realm or like the soul is it immortal? Raj and Kashish met in an unexpected situation. Their love for each other is otherworldly but what will hppen when death becomes an obstacle. With love comes the pain of losing it and an Imperishable promise that soon follows. Let's dive into the beautiful tale of Raj and Kashish, as Deepak, their friend takes us through this otherworldly story of love, fate and friendship.

'An Imperishable Promise' is a contemporary love story that ensues after two persons are separated by boundaries beyond this physical realm. The story takes us through a different aspect of love and pose a difficult question as to what happens to love after death. The three main characters in this book is Raj, Kashish and Deepak. The way the story of friendship and love is interwoven is interesting to read but the lack of character sketch in the beginning made this book abrupt, so I assumed it's a plot driven book but then again this book is pacey and everything happened so quickly. The part that I really enjoyed is the ending, the quick turn of events piqued my interest but it was short lived as it ended quickly.

Writing style is okay, at some point the narrative felt outlandish, the plot was great but it's the narrative that spoiled the mood. Nonetheless it's an unique approach. Would recommend to absolute beginners.

An Imperishable Promise by Sarathi Sabyasachi Sahoo is a novel that delves into the concept of the afterlife and love. The story follows the protagonist, Raj who is a playboy, but when he falls in love with Kashish, he fell hard.

However, the execution of the story falls short in several areas. The pacing of the book is fast, and as a result, the characters' actions and emotions often feel rushed and unrealistic.

This makes it difficult to fully immerse oneself in the story and to fully appreciate the themes and ideas that the author is trying to convey.

Overall, this book may appeal to readers who are looking for a quick read with a unique premise, but it may not be the best fit for readers who are looking for a well-developed and believable love story.

1st Book of 2023

Well, it feels sad to see the Reading counter set to 1 after finishing another book. It’s a new year and the resolution stands to be the same to read 36 books by the end of it. Thankfully, the very 1st book has got finished within the first two days of the year itself giving some positive vibes aready. I am done reading Sarathi Sabyasachi Sahoo’s 2nd book named “An Imperishable Promise” which also comes with a tagline- “If Afterlife Is True, Will You Still Come To Me?”. Initially, I thought that the book must be a simple romantic tale comprising of falling in love and then getting apart and eventually coming together after realizing the vacuum in each other’s life but thankfully, author tried implementing a new concept about what happens when one among the two lovers dies. Does the love also end with it or as we call people in love – soulmates – are their souls till connected with each other?

In the start of the book, author has given tribute to Siddharth Shukla who expired suddenly which was a shock to the nation. It seems that the story also got its seed from the same where Sarathi must have thought what happens to the love story a young person is involved in which ends up being incomplete. The book is of just 150-odd pages so it will not take much time to finish. I could read it in a single evening itself. The 1st half is all about how people initially get infatuated to a person and ask help from a friend to ensure that they are able to initiate some conversation with that beautiful personality. Here, there is a small twist that happens where the match happens between two completely different personalities. But love takes them ahead and their bond just keeps getting better each day. Finally, one of them doesn’t survive a road accident. From here starts, the main concept around which this book has been created.

The writing style of author is quite simple hence everyone who are in their college or just want to get into reading can start with this book easily. The characters are defined and discussed properly which helps you imagine their persona and relate with them easily. The book has also been kept very upto-the-point which helps it in not getting stretched unnecessarily. There are no over-descriptions or unwanted narrations. Author has also ensured that the book is written without any sensuous scenes which will make it easy for you to gift it to your younger siblings or family members.

The best part of the book is the pre-climax when a twist arises which changes the whole set-up of what you were reading until then. I must applaud author for thinking something unique out of this plot and giving it a thrilling touch rather than keeping it simple. Author also tries to send a message across regarding how deeply we get attached with people and can’t move on even after their death. The book speaks about how it can become a disadvantage not only to our mental health but also to the spirit of the soul which has left the body. It is quite deep but I hope readers will be able to reach the conclusion or moral of the story and implement it in their life itself.

Now, talking about the drawbacks, I must say that the command over the language seemed to be an issue with the author as every sentence seems to be a translation from a regional language to English. Also, author keeps the conversation or body language of his characters quite limited or negligible due to which there is no emotion felt while they are crying, sad, laughing or even dying. It’s just a plain read-up at times. Secondly, I must say that there was a great scope of bringing many spiritual and philosophical theories in the 2nd half of the book and make it more informative as well but it seems author went ahead with whatever he could think rather than building more upon it by researching on this topic a lot more.

Overall, this book is good for beginners. Co-incidentally, a new year has begun and you can start your reading resolution with this book. I give it 3.25 stars out of 5.

Thanks!

An Imperishable Promise by Sarathi Sabyasachi Sahoo by Njkinny on Njkinny's Blog

A happy couple separated by death and yet bound by love…

I got attracted towards this book because of its unusual theme. Life after death is a debatable yet intriguing topic that continues to fascinate and be a topic of research all over the world. So, a book written on this theme automatically pulled me to pick this book up to read.

The plot is pretty unconventional and promising. A happy couple separated by death and yet bound by love. I loved this premise that is so different from the run-of-the-mill romances flooding the market.

However, despite the promise of the plot, the execution didn’t live upto the promise. The first part is spent in the push and pull between friends over a girl. And the second part though markedly better still lacks the polish to truly shine.

The characters are two dimensional with no growth. They seemed like caricatures and I could not relate to them. Then their actions didn’t conform to their mature personas. They are shown as adult people working in reputable jobs and yet they behave like kids using their friends to fake chat with a girl, then thinking they are so magnanimous when they matchmake their so called “true love” to their friend.

Also where is the romance? First the heroine tells the hero that they should marry because she has decided to spend her whole life with him. I mean where is the passion? Or the sweet heartfelt emotional upheavals? They are discussing the pros of loving each other like it’s a deal they are making. I was so disappointed by this business like approach to love when the whole book is based on true love!

The writing is simple but it lacks the fluidity to engage readers. It also seemed like a translation from another language all through. The descriptive phrases didn’t leave an impact, and overall, too, the author shies away from creating a description of places, events, and emotional upheaval. So I could not create a mental picture of the story and stayed aloof.

While there are no grammatical errors which is a huge plus in my book, I still think the author needs practice to polish his dialogues and scene creation.

The dialogues looked like they were chat messages, and not dialogues between characters in a novel. Also phrases like “My eyes hung”, “eyes got stuck” were jarring, and failed to create the required impact.

There is a major twist at the end that I think is the highlight of this book. I was surprised and applaud the author on taking this risk. It definitely heightened my interest.

However, while I loved the twist, I don’t condone what the alive character did. All through this book I saw a theme of misleading others which just didn’t sit right with me.

The author throws light on many social and lifestyle issues that affect us all and I applaud him for this effort.

All in all, this is a quick read with a promising premise that you can give a try. However, had the writing been immersive and fluid, the characters realistically developed and mature in their actions, and the emotional play more connectable, this book had the potential to dazzle.

Njkinny recommends An Imperishable Promise by Sarathi Sabyasachi Sahoo to people looking for a short read, an unconventional plot, or interested in “after death” themed romance.

An Imperishable Promise by Sarathi Sabyasachi Sahoo is a story of Deepak and Raj. The former is a shy and simple person, whilst the latter is nothing short of a playboy. Raj is skilled at flirting, changing girlfriends, and general partying. Deepak meets a girl named Kashish in a restaurant one evening and falls in love at first sight. Raj searches out the girl's location using his social media knowledge and begins conversing with her as Deepak. It lasts for several months. The girl is head over heels in love with him. Deepak and Kashish begin to hang together, have meet-ups, and even plot to marry. But there is no sensation of affection. The reasons are self-evident. Raj, the person who talked to her, was her favourite. Raj and Kashish eventually marry and Deepak stays their best buddy. Their lives are idyllic until a car accident in Goa separates them. The maelstrom of fate begins here. Raj had gone insane, living alone in his hilltop home, chasing Kashish's shadows. He converses with a ghost, sees her, and interacts with her just like any other human being. But will he die in order to unite with her spirit? Who is living and who is dead? What about the vows the couple made when Raj suffered a small heart attack years ago? Is Raj getting married again?

The finest part of the book is the pre-climax when a twist occurs that transforms the entire plot.
The author's writing style is straightforward. The characters are thoroughly established and explained, allowing us to readily envision their personas and relate to them. The book discusses how it may be detrimental not just to our mental health but also to the spirit of the soul that has departed the body. It is pretty profound, but I hope readers will be able to grasp the story's ending or moral and apply it to their own lives. There was a lot of potential for incorporating various spiritual and philosophical beliefs into the second part of the book and making it more educational, but it appears the author went with whatever he could think of rather than expanding on it by researching this issue a lot more.

This novel should most certainly be adapted into a film or a web series. Overall, a profound yet unique love tale.

There is a common dreaded looming question that each one of us face while in conundrum related to love and affection and that is about its longevity. Whether it stays when we perish or it is eternal like soul? This novel tries to find the answer through a riveting tale.

The story is centred around Raj and Kashish. Both have a blossoming love bond that eventually leads them to the stage of marriage. Post that they plan a vacation in Goa and becomes a victim of a tragic mishap which makes the line between life and death very grim. Raj tries to recollect the moments from the blurry pieces of his memory and tries to assemble the fragmented pieces but what does life has in store for him and Kashish? Grab the book to find out.

Before mentioning the pros and cons of the novel one thing is for sure that it is a very different kind of book , not something that one comes across on a usual basis and for that author deserves appreciation. Throughout the entire story ,readers face contrasting emotions ranging from utmost despair to the brightest happiness. Deepak's inclusion as a character who is an ideal friend that everyone needs comes across as a very thoughtful move on the part of author and for me he steals the limelight and is the real underdog in the book

The novel also teaches an important lesson to each one of us not to take life for granted and live each day as probably their last. The writing style can definitely be improved as it feels plain at times . Also the concept is intriguing that it could have been explored a bit more ,though I am sure with time , author will undergo some transformation and will grow into a much more matured writer.

I am interested in reading love stories that are unique and fresh to read. We all are bored with the same plot that is followed in love stories, isn't it?

This is a story of Raj, Deepak and Kashish. In their college days, Deepak develops a crush on Kashish but he is too afraid to go to her and build a friendship with a girl like Kashish who is bold and socially active. In the hope of being friends with Kashish, he takes help from Raj. Raj talks to Kashish on Facebook disguised as Deepak. As time passes, Raj and Kashish start feeling for each other and Deepak can sense that his friend has fallen in love with the girl he liked.

There's much more to the story than this. What happens when Kashish finds out about this lie? Will her feelings change for Raj or will they end up together? How will Deepak understand the situation? Many more answers will unfold as we read the book.

The story is short and fast paced. Everything happens quickly in the book so if you want to read something fresh and quick, you can consider reading this book. It highlights the real side of Love and what it is. There's nothing cliched about the story. It's meaningful and written in a mature manner.

Everyone makes promise when they are in love but the question is whether they fulfill them or are their promises null and void? It is subjective as every individual is different. This story shows us how one can go to any extent to fulfill their promises even when the circumstances are not favourable.

A light and easy read to enjoy. I recommend it.

“An Imperishable Promise” is about two lovers who are interconnected through the binding of promises not only in this worldly form but also beyond such existence. This book highlights sacrifices and compromises that one makes for the sake of the well-being of their lovers. It shows how the souls of lovers are intertwined and what impact a true love can have.

Concept wise the story was good. I love and appreciate the idea behind making this story, but what falls short is the writing and execution of the story. It’s not-so-appealing dialogues makes its characters sound very dull and unpromising.

I would say this will be a good read for beginners (as the language is very easy). Also the fast pace nature of this book makes it a good recommendation for starters.

I would have personally love this book if it had an impactful writing. For a love story the emotional connect that I search for was missing in this book. Hence, I couldn't enjoy reading it.

An Imperishable Promise: If Afterlife Is True, Will You Still Come To Me? by Sarathi Sabyasachi Sahoo is a unique love story that is narrated as a part of a flashback by a secondary yet important character and the story takes quite unexpected turns as it unfolds keeping the readers engaged at all times.

I liked the concept of the book and the storyline. The characters were good but needed a bit more development as I couldn't feel a strong connection to them. Although their emotions did come through beautifully despite the problems with the flow of the writing, the narration delivered the emotions quite well. There was more telling than showing, but the good plot more than made up for it and the weak characterisation.

Overall, the book was unique, enjoyable and pretty thought-provoking. And I would recommend it to all contemporary romance readers.

The book An Imperishable Promise is a romantic fiction that revolves around Raj and Kashish. They meet on a social media site, fall in love, get married and live happily. Wait this is what a usual love story is all about. The story of kashish and Raj begins where all story ends. As their life begins to bloom with flowers of happiness , fate brings in an unfortunate event. They both lose each other, with just one of them surviving a road accident. What happens next forms the story.

The first half is what we get to read in a usual romantic fiction. But the actual twist lies in the second half. The book begins to grab the attention of the readers giving them a thrilling experience. Various topics on bad habits and its consequences on one's health has been discussed. The vacuum left after a person's death has been portrayed well.

The book has not been unnecessarily stretched. All of 150 pages it can be finished in a short time. The characters are relatable. The language is beginner friendly. The twists in the climax is impressive.

A riveting tale

“An Imperishable Promise: If Afterlife Is True, Will You Still Come To Me?” by Sarathi Sabyasachi Sahoo is a beautifully written and poignant love story that explores the eternal nature of love and the mysteries of the afterlife. In this novel, the author delves deep into the concept of the soul and whether it is truly immortal, leaving readers with plenty of food for thought. Through the story of Raj and Kashish, two immortal souls whose love for each other transcends death itself, Sahoo poses some of the most profound questions that have plagued humanity for centuries. As they fall in love, they discover that they are both immortal and that their love is more than just a physical attraction. It is an energy that fuels their souls and gives them purpose in a world that is often dark and hopeless.

However, as with all love stories, Raj and Kashish's love is not without its challenges. The biggest obstacle they face is death itself. When Raj is suddenly ripped away from Kashish by a tragic accident, she is left alone to grapple with the idea of living without the love of her life. But even in death, Raj's love for Kashish persists, and he finds a way to reach out to her from beyond the grave.

What makes “An Imperishable Promise: If Afterlife Is True, Will You Still Come To Me?” such a fascinating read is the way it explores the concept of the afterlife in a way that is both philosophical and suspenseful. The author has created a world that is filled with mystery and wonder, where the line between life and death is blurred, and the rules of the universe are constantly being rewritten. The story is filled with twists and turns that keep the reader engaged and invested in the fate of the two protagonists. But the heart of the book lies in its exploration of the nature of love itself. Sahoo asks some tough questions about what it means to love someone and whether that love can persist beyond the physical realm. He challenges readers to think deeply about the nature of the soul and whether it is truly immortal. Through Raj and Kashish's love story, we are shown that love is an energy that transcends the limitations of the physical body and that it can sustain us even in the darkest of times.

“An Imperishable Promise: If Afterlife Is True, Will You Still Come To Me?” is a powerful and thought-provoking novel that will leave readers pondering the mysteries of life and death long after turning the final page. The author's writing style is engaging and poetic, and his characters are richly drawn and relatable. This book will appeal to anyone who has ever loved deeply and has wondered what happens to that love when we pass from this world into the next. Highly recommended.

One of the most impressive things about An Imperishable Promise is the way it seamlessly weaves together elements of romance, spirituality, and philosophy. Sahoo has a gift for exploring complex and abstract ideas in a way that is accessible and relatable to readers. His writing is poetic and evocative, and he has a talent for creating vivid and immersive worlds that draw readers in and keep them captivated.

Another standout feature of the book is its characters. Raj and Kashish are both complex and multi-dimensional, and their love for each other feels genuine and heartfelt. They are both flawed and imperfect, but their flaws only serve to make their love story all the more compelling. Sahoo does an excellent job of portraying the nuances and complexities of their relationship, and his characters feel like real people rather than caricatures.

Overall, An Imperishable Promise is a must-read for anyone who has ever pondered the mysteries of life and death and who has wondered about the eternal nature of love. The book is a powerful reminder that love is an energy that transcends the limitations of the physical world and that it has the power to sustain us even in the darkest of times. Highly recommended.

Full review on my blog:

It is the year 2054, Deepak Patel is shocked by his son and daughter-in-law’s decision to part ways less than a year after marriage. He then recollects the story that happened four decades back, in his younger days. Deepak is smitten by a beautiful girl Kashish whom he comes across in a cafe one day. With help of his childhood friend and roommate Raj, Deepak tries to befriend Kashish.

But after a couple of unexpected events, Raj and Kashish get married. Their fairy tale story flows dreamily until Raj takes a promise from Kashish — an imperishable promise in the event of death of one of them. What lead to Raj taking this promise from Kashish? Is after life a reality and is death the end of true love? Read An Imperishable Promise to know the answers to these questions.

The blurb with reference to immortal love and life after death is what intrigued me to pick this book. The story starts like any contemporary love stories but with a twist of possible triangle between Deepak, Raj and Kashish. Hanging out in cafes, befriending people on Social media — the story has modern love story elements with a surprise thrown by author once in a while.

The story gets more intriguing in the second half and the twist at the end is hard to foresee, so the reader will be thrilled to realize how the story took totally unexpected turns. There are very few characters — the story mostly revolving around Raj and Kashish. The author’s take on what happens when death separates young couples who imagine a lifetime of love and happiness when their dreams are cut short, is interesting.

The message on how love and relationships are perceived in current generation, the superficial emotions, the burden of bad lifestyle on health — the author inculcates so many contemporary topics into the narration and storyline. However, the major drawback for me is the writing style and language, which is fine for novice readers, but for regular readers can be a major concern. The language and sentences feel more like conversations in online chats and less like a novel.

Also, the idea of love and how the protagonists perceive it did not appeal to me at places. But the novelty of the story concept and the author’s way of presenting it deserve appreciation. With more focus on writing style, the author makes for a good storyteller. If you like reading contemporary stories and those with a fresh premise then pick this one and it will force you to brood about true and immortal love.

A relationship is like a crystal bowl. The more careful you are the longer it lasts. My father taught me this when I was getting married. After years, I saw a father like that through the book imperishable promise by Sarathi Sabyasachi Sahoo.

Imperishable Promise by Sarathi Sabyasachi Sahoo
A couple heading for a divorce approaches the guy's father and announces their decision. The readers expect the father to create a ruckus but on the contrary, he narrates a love story. The story of Raj and Kashish. Is it love at first sight? No. Is it a conventional love story? Yes. But is it a puppy romance? No
The author has beautifully depicted the beauty and depth of the relationship between Raj and Kashish. A casanova of sorts falling for a girl might come across as a cliche but the author has made sure not to overdo the act.
The back story begins with Deepak falling head over heels in love with a girl who passes by. Deepak is a goody-two-shoes kind of person when it comes to women wherein Raj, Deepak's best friend is a playboy. Raj volunteers the task of making the girl fall for Deepak. Will she fall for Deepak? Who is she? How will Raj's relationship with her develop? What happens further?
The plot
The basic plot is rich. It has a lot of possibilities to develop into a classic love story. The way the relationship develops is slow and steady and at a believable pace. Also, the author has developed the romance at a platonic level contrary to the protagonist's character. The blurb reveals way too much of the plot, which could have been avoided. Because by the time Raj starts chatting we know that yes this is going to happen. That surprise element could have been kept had the name of the girl not been revealed in the beginning. But as and when the plot proceeds, the unexpected happens and I loved how the author has brought a different perspective to the whole plot.
The narration
The author's style of narration is vernacular, seemingly targeting beginners and YA lovers. The story is a simple sweet and cute story of Raj and Kashish but in simple language, the author has knitted a beautiful tale of romance, unlike the overdoing by so-called best sellers.
The characters
The characters are relatable. The characteristics could have been developed on a larger canvas. But nonetheless, the author is successful in connecting them with the readers. The author has given different shades to all characters. Kashish could also have been given the shades in varying degrees but that doesn't affect the development of the overall plot.
Overall the book is an easy breezy read but it could have been a tad bit tight-packed with one round of sound developmental edit. But if you are looking for a simple read that is fast and easily comprehensible this is the one for you.

Love is more than a feeling and every love story is tested by destiny? If you don’t believe my words, in all your senses you need to pick up Sarathi Sabyasachi Sahoo’s classic romance novel, ‘An Imperishable Promise’. Heed on its tagline: If Afterlife Is True, Will You Still Come to Me?
This is not just a tagline, it’s rather a question and as I read it from cover to cover, I got my answers. Basically, it’s a romance novel with supernatural elements towards the end. The story starts with two best friends living in Mumbai, working professionals: Deepak and Raj.

At one evening, Deepak falls in love at first sight with a girl named Kashish in a restaurant. He being a diffident guy takes the help of Raj. Raj scans the girl’s whereabouts from his experience on social media and begins chatting with her posing himself as Deepak. It goes on for many months. The girl falls head over heels for him. Soon Deepak and Kashish hang out, meet-ups take place, and even plans for a marriage. But the feeling of love is missing. Reasons are obvious. She loved the guy who chatted and that is Raj.

Fast forward…they confess. Raj and Kashish get married and Deepak remains the best friend to both. Here onwards, the novel shifts to their life story of fun, vacation, buying a cottage in Nainital. Their life is perfect until a road accident in Goa separates them.

The chaos of destiny starts from here. Who is dead and who is alive? What about the promises that the couple had when Raj had a minor heart attack years back?

You need to be a focused reader to understand the crux of the story post accident. Kashish is dead. Raj gone mad, living alone in his hilly cottage, chasing the shadows of Kashish. He talks to a spirit, sees her, interacts like any other human being. But will he die to come together with her spirit? Wait a minute, the story changes the track…what if Kashish is alive and Raj is dead. Urging her to join him in the afterlife love…will they be together forever. Can death of Kashish unite them forever? A fabulous drama of emotions grip the novel as it nears its ending. It will bring you an immense delight to finally know who is who and how? This is a great romance novel I have ever read by today’s authors.

This book, "An Imperishable Promise " is a heartwarming, heart touching, intriguing and exhilarating love story of young lovers whose fates begin conspiring from the very beginning itself and lastly turn into a no way to go.

Deepak and Kashish coming together briefly at the beginning and their relationship ending with a preordained match or ethereal love between Kashish and Deepak's friend Raj after then is something which will keep you hooked to this intriguing love story.

The story is humourous full of drama, love, disappointments, sacrifices in love and intriguing turns and twists in the love equations of the characters. The story is perfectly paced and no less riveting and will keep you hooked and excited to know what actually happens further in the lives of these characters.

The best and most beautiful thing about the story of Deepak, Raj and Kashish is how it is able to save the marrital bond between two suitors Rimmi and Rohit, the son of Deepak at the end. In the beginning, it might seem a casual read and infact even when I started reading, it took me certain amount of time to be familiar with the story and after then the nuisances of the characters it becomes an unputdownable rollercoaster ride of love and life lessons.

Characters sketching, plot, dialogues, storytelling and not to forget disappointing twists at the end of the book will leave you agape with its entirety and impacts, for sure. Overall, it's one of those most beautiful stories I have ever read. From making a place in the Kashish's heart through fb chats for his shy friend Deepak to falling in love with her for real, Raj's destiny turns him full swing.

The language used in this book is very easy to read and understand and at the same time, the simplicity in the language and directness in the narration of the story is one of the specialities of this book. It's quite rare and commendable that an author is so successful in keeping its readers hooked till the very end in spite of coming up with such simple story and characters.

I personally loved the storytelling and the book with such a beautiful cover and a title. I will definitely recommend this book to everyone who believes in the happy ending of a love story because their beliefs will be shattered in this story.

The novel is themed as romantic suspense that encompasses the true essence of love. We meet many people in our lifetime yet one special one fills the space in our heart and stays there forever. When we heard from others that God has created the other part of your soul and you'll meet them when the time is right, that's what soulmate means. Raj and Kashish's story is one such beautiful love story that speaks volumes.

Love can withstand any challenges and struggles but if fate plans to separate them, what happens then? If meeting each other was God's plan then would tragic be considered as devil's? Because all they ever wished for was to have a long, healthy and happy life together but.... Things are hardly black and white as life lets you experience all shades.

The story begins with Raj trying to help his friend, Deepak to muster up the courage to chat with a pretty girl online. That girl is Kashish, an independent individual with clear respectable values.

As things deepen and tables turn, a new beginning commences. Raj and Kashish fall in love with each other as sparks fly but fate begins to intervene when death comes knocking at their door. One tragedy turns everything upside down. The love that was more than just a feeling for them, will it fade into nothingness?

Life is unpredictable and when it's time to say goodbye, we are always encouraged to let go of that person however what about love? How do we learn to let go of that love that was once our whole life? This novel takes its readers beyond the common queries of love, death, adversity and let it go. Exploring the power of love beyond the dimensions of living and fulfilling the purpose of the same, this story will strike a chord with many.

The elements of great chemistry between the protagonists and the understanding that they have is a testament to those monumental love story. I'm impressed with Sarathi Sabyasachi's writing style. The exploration of the afterlife when it comes to love is so well done that it resonates deeply from within.

I'd definitely recommend this to all.

Book : An Imperishable Promise
Author : Sarathi Sabyasachi Sahoo

The most beautiful lines I got in the book 👇

“If Afterlife Is True, Will You Still Come To Me?”

There's something about Sarathi Sabyasachi Sahoo's books, you just can't keep calm unless you finish her books. Is it because of beautiful writing style, or proper handling of emotions, Or Existing characters or something else, I don't know. But I know that it sure is.

This story was almost like watching a movie. Every scene was running inside my mind. The author's writing skill was the obvious reason behind this.

Responsible driving is always must to save life of yourself and others. This is not your usual love story where a girl and a boy meet, fall in love and live happily ever after. There's more to it. I really like how the package came, but most important part that this book really give me a heart warming feeling. By the looks of the title it not only says or talks about love story. What happens to the love story a young person is involved in which ends up being incomplete. Does the love also end with it or as we call people in love soulmates are their souls till connected with each other?

While reading certain scenes in the story I actually felt like it was happening in reality ! That is how the book deeply engages the readers. Author tried implementing a new concept about what happens when one among the two lovers dies. Many more gave a scary experience while reading this book. The author has a good storytelling style. However, it's the ending that was the most terrifying.

Such an intriguing and unique storyline. It's a very short read.A story full of emotional ups and down. I like Author has given tribute to Siddharth Shukla and there melt my heart. Eloborate writing and smooth transition between scenes. The plot and the plot twist were shocking and I like it alot. This book got me hooked right from start and you just can't stop reading it unless you have finished it.

AN IMPERISHABLE PROMISE by SARATHI SABYASACHI SAHOO is an amazing mysterious love fiction which is definitely penned in the memory of the famous Indian actor Late Siddharth Shukla, as in the very beginning of the plot the author has mentioned a tribute to him.

The story revolves around the three main characters Kashish - a matured girl, Raj - a playboy and Deepak - a shy guy and Raj's best friend. Deepak fell in love with Kashish but as he was shy, Raj helped him in chatting with her depicting himself as Deepak. This triangle resulted in the love relationship between Raj & Kashish. Deepak sacrificed his love for his friendship. Soon, Raj & Kashish got married and were living a happy life.

As the story proceeds further, an unfortunate incident changed their lives. In Goa, they met with an accident which caused Kashish's death. The incident left Raj all alone and forever upset, but was it always forever..?

As the book title depicts an afterlife, Kashish returned for her love. She returned in a new form which in common language is know as AFTERLIFE. She wanted to make her love - Raj, happy and positive as he was before.

*CURIOSITY*
Will she be able to change Raj's life..?
Will she always live like this to make him happy again or will she do something else..?

I liked the plot. It's somewhat fantasising and mysterious. I liked the beginning how Deepak sacrificed his love for the sake of friendship. The relationships are beautifully penned with well-defined characters. The way author put the emotions in a flow is something to be appreciated.

The language used is lucid with a good taste of vocabulary. Though it's a short plot, everything's described amazingly with zero over description. The book cover is beautifully highlighting the two love birds. Overall, it was a good read for me. I recommend it to all the readers, who loves to read mysteries and love fiction.

I have always found it quite easy to talk about the reasons why a book didn't work out for me, could point to all its faults and things that could have been written differently but when it comes to voicing why I love a particular book, I find myself lacking the language/means to say it. You see, sometimes you love something and that's it; there is no why or what in it. It just is. But as a self-proclaimed book reviewer, I'll try my best!

An Imperishable Promise: If Afterlife Is True, Will You Still Come To Me? By Sarathi Sabyasachi Sahoo is a modern tale of a gen Z Deepak Patel and Raj who graduated from IIT Mumbai in 2014 and they both joined an IT company in Bangalore. Deepak, the protagonist of this story is a shy type of person and saved money for the future. But Raj is a joyful person and lived a very lavish lifestyle. When they had lunch in a restaurant, they saw a girl named Kashish and Deepak fell in love with her.
Raj searches the address of Kashish through social media and begins to chat with her in the name of Deepak. Who will marry Kashish? Deepak or Raj. The author Sarathi Sabyasachi Sahoo amazingly narrated this story with many unexpected twists.

The happiest life of Raj ends when he meets with a road accident in Goa. He was very much frustrated when he lost his wife. This book talks about the existence of the soul after death and spiritual beliefs.
It is a story of difficult circumstances but bonded with love.
Even though the book does deal with some serious issues the story as a whole is a joyous one; the narration is funny, the diction is on point and the evocation of smell and taste and sound is perfect so much so that while reading one can feel them physically. It is not a descriptive book, not a lot of places and sceneries were given the details they deserved but I felt it was not needed either. Somehow I could picture them nevertheless, the world unfurling in front of my eyes.

An Imperishable Promise

Author-Sarathi Sabyasachi Sahoo

My Rating-⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

My Review-

A Promise between soulmates is something that lasts until death and Maybe after their death too…

What happens when the love between two soulmates separated due to an unfortunate incident?? What happens to their love, their dreams and their promises??

I must say this is definitely one of the unique love stories that I've read so far. I've come to the conclusion that this is going to be a routine love story with some happy or sad ending. But this book has the best ending that I always wanted. This is the story I always adore with my heart.

As the blurb of this book gives a better idea of what the plot of this book is, I'm not going to give any spoilers for this book as it's a short book of 150 pages packed with so much love, drama, suspense, twists and turns that makes the readers hooked till the end. I must say that every part of this book is written in a very engaging way with a perfect storyline which stays in the reader's heart forever.

I find this book very interesting after the first half of the book which has ended with an unfortunate incident that altered the life of two pure soulmates. I can say that this book has some magic that made me complete it in a single sitting without putting it down. The language used is quite simple and narration was fluid enough to attract the reader's mind and heart together.

This book is heartwarming as well as heart wrenching for me. This book has an emotional rollercoaster ride for its readers that makes us feel the importance of love, faith, promise and emotions in our lives in a very intriguing manner. This book is definitely unique from others…

I highly recommend this book for all the love story lovers to give this book a try and I'm sure this will be one of the best of all other love stories you've read so far. Happy Reading ❤️😊….

This one reminded me of The Ghost (90's Film)

The imperishable promise is a supernatural-romance-fiction novel by author Sarathi Sabyasachi Sahoo. Most of the novel is in the form of conversations between the three main characters- Raj Deepak and Kashish. The novel seems more like a screenplay or a drama and can easily be adapted into one. It is clearly divided into two parts or acts.
(Spoiler Alert!) Act one describes the love triangle between the three main characters, which in itself is quite complex. It instantly paints the picture of a small North-Indian town, and introduces two adolescent best friends Raj and Deepak who would gladly sacrifice their ethics to help each other in their quest for seeking women(relatable), one a brash, thrill seeking playboy, the other, a more conservative, virgin town-boy; the dichotomy of their individual nature is amusing.
The girl, the third character, named Kashish was somebody who stayed vividly with me right until the end. I think it had something to do with the way she was first introduced, in the restaurant as a seemingly chubby and hot headed girl to a smooth guy like Raj, yet at the same time, possessing a sort of understated beauty to a sensitive guy like Deepak who immediately decided he was in love with her. I would not be surprised if this character were based on a real life person from the author's life as descriptions like these are hard to come through pure imagination.
The second act is where the supernatural aspect of this novel kicks in. A lover dies. His spirit lingers around in the mortal world. This forms the bulk of the plot. It adds an extra layer of tension.
The twist ending was where things changed for me. It was something that I did not anticipate. The way everything was wrapped up at the end was impressive.
Overall, the novel is a good read for fans of the romance-fiction genre.

🥀 The everlastingness of love is the fundamental topic of the book. The story commences with the occurrence of Deepak telling his story of love about forty years ago to his son and daughter-in-law when they're parting their ways together. When Deepak was in his college days he fell for a girl named Kashish so he asked his best friend Raj for help. He helped him in impressing her but the twist in the story arrived at the very perfect time when Kashish falls in love with Raj instead of Deepak. They both fell in love and were crazy about each other.

🥀Deepak backsteps his love for the sake of friendship. They both get married and Raj asked for a promise from his wife and best friend that if he dies then she will marry him. Everything was going smoothly but destiny plays its own game and they both dies in a car accident in Goa. So now what next?? Will the promise be able to maintain they made to Raj? What will happen to their love when death is an inevitable obstacle between them? Read it and know it all by yourself.

🥀The book has a different and unique aura and as you browse the book and the tale keeps unwrapping it will stun you. It’s a tale not only about life but also about the Afterlife that's what makes this book stand out from others. So this story is about the notion of Imperishable promise as the book title itself conveys the fundamental theory of the whole story. This story is so heartbreakingly glorious that it will intensely and perpetually modify the way you glimpse the true meaning of love, family and life.

🥀The writing style is incredible, straightforward, and captivating. The characters are well-developed and relatable, with their unique personalities driving the story smoothly forward. The book's themes of love, life, and the afterlife are timeless and will resonate with readers of all ages.

"Promise" is a thought-provoking novel that explores the concept of eternal love and the immortality of the soul. The book delves deep into the question of what happens to love when we die - does it die with our physical body or does it live on forever like our soul? While no one has a definitive answer to this question, the author takes readers on a journey to find the answers to this timeless mystery through the story of Raj and Kashish.

The story is set in the year 2054 and is narrated by Deepak Patel, a retired man who is enjoying a peaceful life with his family. When his son Rohit and daughter-in-law Rimi tell him they have decided to get a divorce, Deepak shares with them the story of Raj and Kashish, two immortal souls whose love story is the crux of the novel.

The love story is filled with suspense, twists, and turns that keep readers on the edge of their seats. Despite facing numerous challenges, including death, their love remains strong and unwavering. The author does an excellent job of keeping readers engaged and invested in the characters and their story.

One of the most significant themes of the book is the power of love. The author shows that love is an endless fuel for the energy called the soul, which keeps it alive forever. The novel also explores the idea that true love never dies and is an eternal circle that continues until two souls meet.

The characters in "Promise" are well-developed, and readers can't help but feel connected to them. Their love is inspiring and heartwarming, and the supporting characters add depth and richness to the story.

Overall, "Promise" is a beautiful love story that will touch the hearts of readers. The author's exploration of the immortality of the soul and the power of love is thought-provoking and profound. I highly recommend this novel to anyone looking for an engaging and inspiring read.

"If afterlife is true, will you still come to me?"

Book ~ An Imperishable Promise
Author ~ @sarathisabyasachi

Raj and Kashish, who were utterly in love with one another and eventually got married, are the subject of the story. There is a genuine bond between Raj and Kashish, however, they also encounter real difficulties, not all of which can be fixed with the snap of a finger.

Everything has the potential to drastically change in a split second. Raj and Kashish lost each other to life and death in an accident that occurred when they were on holiday in Goa. Raj recalls and makes incremental attempts to put the puzzle pieces together in order to understand what he has lost, what he still has, and the extremely difficult decision he must make.

Deepak is a great best friend; he is witty and endearing, and his scenes in the book are filled with ardour and love. This is so heartbreakingly beautiful that it will profoundly and permanently change the way you view life, love, and family.

The main themes of the book An Imperishable Promise are life and death as well as how we often fail to recognise the importance of the everyday occurrences in our lives. In order to communicate his story in a profoundly emotional and touching way, author Sarathi Sahoo has tried to turn the most awkward moments into lovely ones.

I assumed the book would be a straightforward love story about two people falling in love, but in this book, the author has come up with an idea about what happens when one of the two lovers passes away. Does the love also end with the death?

The author also tries to make a point on how we become really attached to people and find it difficult to move on even after they pass away.

This story is about Kashish and Raj who become hopelessly enamored with one another through a facebook talk. Not even one of them understand they love each other until Deepak who is Raj's bestfriend causes them to acknowledge it.
However, whenever they have found love genuine they are absolutely cheerful and into one another totally. A couple of years pass by and presently they are cheerfully hitched and carrying on with their lives to the fullest.Well, it feels miserable to see the Perusing counter set to 1 in the wake of completing another book. It's another year and the goal stands to be something similar to peruse 36 books toward it's end. Fortunately, the exceptionally first book has completed inside the initial two days of the actual year giving a few uplifting tones.

In the beginning of the book, writer has given recognition for Siddharth Shukla who terminated out of nowhere which was a shock to the country. It appears to be that the story likewise got its seed from the equivalent where Sarathi probably thought what befalls the romantic tale a youngster is engaged with which turns out to be inadequate.

You should be an engaged peruser to comprehend the core of the story post mishap. Kashish is dead. Raj gone distraught, living alone in his uneven house, pursuing the shadows of Kashish. Yet, will he bite the dust to meet up with her soul? Stand by a moment, the story changes the track… imagine a scenario in which Kashish is alive and Raj is dead.

This book is superb. The awesome peak of this book, which I just completed yesterday, is still new in my brain. I would most likely go to the theater no less than multiple times on the off chance that the writer made a film in view of this book.

It raises questions like what happens to your love when you die ? Does the love end ? Is the soul immortal ?
A beautiful lovestory between Raj and Kashish
and great bond of friendship is shown between Deepak and Raj

In the book the author shows that Deepak's son and daughter in law are getting divorced and he has flashbacks of four decades back where he and Raj showed a great connection of friendship

Raj and Kashish met through an online app and fell in love ...Deepak also loved Kashish but he gave up his love for Raj and his friendship

Raj takes a imperishable promise from Kashish ...what is the promise? What will happen if anyone of them dies ? Is afterlife real ?
Read the book to find out answers to these questions

Life of Raj and Kashish was quite happening they were happy and enjoying
But later in book Kashish died due an accident in Goa...it was a heartbreak for Raj

What happens in afterlife?

It is in simple language and easily understandable
The author should be appreciated on how he portrayed the characters and how beautifully they are being played and story goes so well

This review is a part of Outset Review Program

The concept of immortal souls in love is something that has often been explored with the idea that when two individuals connect with each other, they form a bond that transcends time and space, and their romance lasts forever.

And as such, some people may be willing to make significant sacrifices or take risks for the sake of love, prioritizing each and every single aspect of their life. But ultimately, it is up to each individual to decide how much they are willing to invest in a relationship and what risks they are willing to take.

In the book, ‘An Imperishable Promise’ by Sarathi Sabyasachi Sahoo, the author has depicted a beautiful, but at the same time, a deeply warming and heart touching story that shows what it means to putting the needs and happiness of the loved one above one's own needs and desires.

The book begins with the narrative of Deepak Patel deciding to narrate the epic love story of his best friend, Raj, to his son and his wife, who have decided that they don’t want to be together. Dating back to almost four decades, we are given an insight into all the protagonists of the story and the ensuing circumstances that led them to their path.

Through their journey, they teach the readers on how to let go of grief and to cherish our memories, making us realize how life is fickle and can change in an instant, hence we should never take anything for granted, but rather live it to the fullest.

The love that Raj and Kashish had for each other was so selfless that they were willing to do whatever it took to make the other person happy, thereby showcasing how love is not something that is to be achieved, but rather what that is to be given. Hence, I am going to give this FIVE STARS ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

If afterlife is true, will you still come to me?

The book is one of the kind. A book which stays with you even days after reading. OMG, I just can't believe what I read. The book made me get goosebumps.

It has captured beautifully the love, which 2 individual have for each other. Not just that but also between friends. The love and care which they show and exhibit is penned beautifully. The book has very few characters but each one have their significant part in the story to express the emotion and feel the epitome of love.

The story is presented by Deepak who himself is a main part of the imperishable promise. The book speaks about sensitive and important topic existing in our society - love, marriage, divorce, trust, promise, death, destiny, after life, and attachment. All these are expressed r in appropriate manner projecting its pros and cons. The book can be split as 3 parts - the present, the past, and life after death.

The first part where Deepak will be narrating the story of the imperishable promise to his son and daughter-in-law because of there hasty decisions. The second part is the story impressible promise itself, how the love developed, how friendship makes you do crazy stuffs.

The third part is of course the After life section which leaves aawww stuck with its narration and the way the plot goes on. After reading the book it took me few seconds to realise what had really happened and I was astonished by how far love can go to make you do things. I think that's the power of love and friendship.

Its a must read book to cherish the love of our life too.
