If you’re contemplating reading this then STOP! This is NOT the book you’re looking for or may have had recommended to you. You’re looking for the seminal book “Stop Walking On Eggshells” by Mason and Kreger. This deceptively similar title seems to be intentionally designed to trick you into getting this book (like what happened to me). This sad excuse for a book gives some vague and superficial advice (only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 1) but aside from that is a waste of time. Though, since it’s printed in font seemingly designed for the legally blind you can easily finish it in under 2 hours. It is full of spelling and grammatical errors and has absolutely zero consistency with formatting! This was seriously painful to read as it alternated in what kind of spacing to use, whether to bold headlines or not, had inconsistent use of abbreviation, and ridiculously inconsistent use of bullet points. This basically seems like it was written by a high school student with the aid of Chat GPT, but didn’t bother to proof read it at all (especially the last third) and just took the whole Word Document and clicked Print, not caring how it messed with the formatting. It doesn’t give any actual advice for treating BPD, sometimes outright giving wrong information, and it couldn’t quite decide whether it was directed at those with BPD or those struggling dealing with it in a loved one. Also, there is literally zero information about the Author anywhere. He appears to have produced several other short books about similar mental health topics and a random book about Pele, the Brazilian Soccer/Football superstar. He’s certainly not a trained mental health professional or he wouldn’t have gotten so much wrong. So this author may not even be a real person, just someone sloppily using Chat GPT. Anyway, definitely skip this book.
