Continuation from Elite BSC book 21 Luke Rayne is the Commander of the FBI/Badass Training Center who is just waiting for his ol’ lady to show. When Ember Faye falls into his world, everyone’s lives change. Clarity and vision are what she seems to bring with her, along with new challenges, names, ancestors, a voice, dog and we can’t forget the cupcakes. Freaky just got freakier!
L. Ann started with the Baxters and followed that with multiple series and genres. While her books feature paranormal, FBI, ex-military and Badass Bikers, L. Ann is writing about the strong women that these men need in their life to help right the world's wrongs and keep their small part of the world safe. The women are extraordinary, strong and determined to make a difference. The men fight for right in every book. Yes, they kill people. Yes, the MC shoots at the bad guys’ feet to cause them pain. Yes, some throw tampons at each other regularly. That being said, they do these things while stopping human trafficking and experimentation, bringing their world into legitimate businesses, fighting gangs to keep drugs away from their town and kids, keep women sheltered safely while trying to stop domestic abuse. These are men that don’t leave a pack, Team member or Brother behind. They don’t treat women as possessions and they don’t cheat. Respect takes on an honorable meaning. Women and kids are cherished. Everyone is looked out for and everyone is equal. L. Ann has made amazing worlds, tackled the taboo subjects and made it easy to imagine living in a world where your protection comes from the vampires, shifters, freaky kids, albinos and orientals, military turned FBI and some Badass Bikers. With readers writing about rereading the series over and over, she feels like she’s told her characters’ stories in a way that would make them proud. Every book will make you laugh, every book will make you angry for the wrong that happens in the world. Every book will make you cry for the pain that a character feels. Every book gives you hope that we may just get it right yet
Painstaking honest review from longtime fan(stalker)
I want to start by saying that I have been a huge fan for many years. I even read and loved the Abdroit series after being so sure (determined) to not like it because I wanted more Badass. While I was ecstatic to get back to the perfect world we all know, this book feels rushed. I feel like too many important parts were either rushed over or skipped. I even thought that maybe I accidentally skipped a chapter & went back to check. I also noticed that the dialog was repetitive and had long drawn out sections that not only repeated but were not necessary that moment. While I feel this book wasn't the usual storytelling that I have come to expect, I still loved this story, characters and all of Badass. I will always read them as they are put out.
After so many books for these series this author can still give a great book and keeping all of the characters straight is a feat all to itself. Clear warning though it is not a sand alone to help keep some what clear on characters start from beginning of the BSC series plus you won't be disappointed. To make it even more clear start all the way in beginning at MC series, either way no disappointment.
Loved reading about Luke Rayne and Maiyun , there story started in chaos like most of the brothers but also had twists I wasn't expecting. I am really curious where this FBI /BSC mess is going. Not that I don't like the Ops but is no one else curious what's going on in the Govt. that Bada$$ has to protect the country? I was always curious whether Luke Rayne was gifted more than reading from the ancestors, he's another one he keeps things hidden. Maiyun brings knowledge of ancestral ties to a lot of favorites AND has things to share with everyone , plus she and Luke Rayne will probably bring a " small" amount of normal to the freaks 😜😁 I was super excited to read this one and can't wait for L Ann's next !!!
I remember when Luke Rayne was born. Never imagined that the world would come full circle. Watching all the kids get mates and continue what the grand rents started is amazing! Love the stories and am always anxious to read the next one! This one was no different. L Ann Marie has a talent that I pray she continues to use. Now to wait for the next one....I really don't like he wait! Lol
I love this author and this wonderful world of characters! I love the way Luke Rayne adapts and remains calm through all the changes that are thrown his way. Maiyun is a survivor all the way. She also learned to adapt to her new way of life and struggle but found her happiness. Great addition to the badass family!! Never gets old or boring, can’t wait for more!!
Another bada$$, freaky book. I love how each book just continues to add more layers to this series. All the way back to when I first read Knight by L. Ann Marie, I have been a huge fan. Luke Rayne and his Sweet Em are the couple in Vision - book 22. I love how the freaky always know when theynhabe found their one. Keep these books coming - we need more of the alpha-bits, the dogs, the Indian connections and all the freaky kids.
Your books just keep getting better and better!! There are no other books quite like yours! You're at the top of my favorite authors list. As always, the way your mind works is fascinating. From the first page til the last, I can't put your books down. Thank you for always giving me a great place to escape. I'll be patiently waiting for the next book.
Will maiyun ever be without her skeleton? Its hard to read about the injuries sometimes. This was one of those times. I love the positive attitudes in badass. The dogs are awesome. Love the personalities especially loki. Zeus is my favorite but perses is a close second. Can't wait for the next one.
I am glad Luke Rayne finally got his girl. Luke Rayne is a commander at BSC West club. He does a favor for Harky and meets his sweet ‘Em. Ember Faye is a reader/vision Indian. She is on hiding from some bad people when she meets Luke Rayne. Throw in some freaky, Cory and Alpha-bits and you have a funny and wonderful story
Love love love!!! This series from L Ann Marie. BSC..Baxters..a little Adroit..Sexy Sabers..gosh where does one start with this book? This is a must read series. 5 stars again!!
I love the Badass world of books and this was no exception. Luke Rayne is one of the quieter brothers, so I really enjoyed learning more about him and his Sweet Em. I'm looking forward to seeing more of them both in upcoming books.
Positively a beautiful story, absolutely enjoyed the basis of this story but felt the disconnect of out protagonists throughout the pages. Does every female heroine character have to be brutalised to get her HEA? just a note, not a biggy.
The Commander , FBI trainer and ex Seal book. He's found his one but like the other old ladies she will need help and understanding to find her place. In this next book in series. As the vision unfolds for everyone.
I love all the books! While I wait for the next I reread the whole series. I think I have read through it 3 times now and can’t get tired of it. I love how they are positive and uplifting to strong women with great men at their sides.
Fabulous series, & yes not a standalone start from the very beginning read all of the series in order so that you get the start & history. A great read
I can’t get enough of L. Ann Marie’s books. After reading her books I’m on my toes waiting for the next one to come out. I’ve reread all her books so many times I’ve lost count. Keep write because I can’t get enough.
These stories keep getting better and better! Luke Rayne is very serious and his character shows it. I love his patience and kindness to everyone. I think Em us so calm and accepting. Great read as always!!!
