It’s easy to lose the holiday spirit when your one desire is to have someone to spend it with.
After being reminded of the magic of a Christmas by her nephew, Halley taps into her inner whimsy and creates a wish list. After her date ghosted her on what was supposed to be a group outing, her fortune changes when she meets Jace. Jace Moore, big time sports agent and true lover of all things Christmas, makes it his duty share his holiday cheer with Halley. No matter how big or small, he promises to make all her wishes come true.
Sedona Rose is a 30-something black indie romance hailing from South Carolina. She writes about black love with real feelings! Her goal is to make sure you feel the love through the pages. You can catch her watching the Carolina Panthers, anime, or reading when she's not writing.
4.5✨the Christmas Wish was a short instalove story. Halley was stood up for a date and in walks Jace providing her a little entertainment for the evening. I loved their sweet banter and the way that they were able to talk and be themselves. It was cute.
Yes, you all, this Christmas short was a hearty har har, good read. I enjoyed the quick connection with Jace and Halley. A lady who knows sports are really sexy to men. Halley knew her stats and could quote them with the best. And Jace was a sports agent to the stars, making them a match in made heaven. I loved this Holiday Short....
This was an Instalove story. They were immediately booed up after meeting each other for the first time. They acted like they had been together for months. Jace and Halley were cute together and seemed like they sparked something special. It was also sweet how Jace wanted to help her fulfill her Christmas wishes. The story definitely fit the Christmas theme and was cute. It also closed out with some spice.
There was a spot in ch. 6 or 7 where the editing was bad, they were supposed to be having a gingerbread house contest and the paragraphs didn't make any sense. Other than that a good quick read.
The Christmas Wish is the kind of holiday romance that feels warm, magical, and easy to fall into. From the very beginning it moves fast in the best way and Sedona Rose keeps the story fun, festive, and full of charm. Watching the main character’s Christmas list start coming true one wish at a time made the whole book feel like opening gifts you were not expecting. It is sweet without being cheesy and the pacing keeps you fully locked in from the first chapter.
What I loved most is how the story balances cute moments with genuine heart. The holiday energy is strong, the romance feels natural, and the little touches throughout make it perfect for the season. It gave me that cozy feeling of cocoa, lights, and wishing for something you never imagined you would actually receive. The Christmas Wish is adorable, engaging, and exactly the kind of short holiday read that leaves you smiling when you finish it.
I was all into this Christmas short story. Jace and Halley were an oops match. It goes to show that one man's oops is another man's blessing. Halley being stood up made for a magnificent night. She met Jace that was all things Christmas. If she had any grinch in her Jace was going to erase it with his plans by the end of the night. I like how Jace and Halley meshed together. They complimented each other, especially with both being sports fanatics.
Download and indulge it's a quick read but gives all the holiday feels. I am looking forward to reading more about this couple in future releases.
What a sweet, and fun short story! I wanna be like Halley when I grow up! She wrote out her Christmas list, and it all came to fruition within 24 hours! Halley was devastated when she was stood up. But meeting Jace at the bar, quickly turned things around! Jace! Such a sweetheart! Swooning…. 😍 The connection and chemistry with these two was immediate, and they fell into an easy groove! Feel good read. Really enjoyed it! 👍👍👍
Another good read from Sedona. Halley and Jace weren’t necessarily looking for love but getting stood up lands Halley at the bar and Jace sitting next to her. They were feeling each other from the beginning and have the cutest impromptu Christmas-y 1st date. If you’re looking for a quick and cute read filled with Holly jolly, this is the one for you!
Absolutely adorable. Perfect meet-cute with a super cute little adventure and banter in between. Hey, one man's trash is another man's treasure. I just wished "Derrick" could've seen what he missed out on. Short and sweet!!
I loved Halley & Jace. They just vibed together from the first time they meet at the bar with no complications. Jace being a sports agent and Halley a sports communication teacher, they literally couldn’t be more compatible. Especially with both of them loving Christmas.
I need an update on these two. Are they married with kids? It’s been 2 years and I know they are deeply in love somewhere lol I could read an entire book on these two!
Would definitely recommend this short holiday read.
There wasn’t much to dislike, the premise was cool and the characters were likable. I especially appreciate that there was no unnecessary drama but on a side note, Jamel should not have allowed Halley to go and sit at the bar alone. Other than that minor detail, all good!
4/5⭐️4/5🌶️ - Y'all already know Im a loyal rose petal and I ran to go download this Christmas novella. It was that easy going, comfortable with each other in two seconds, damn near best friends kinda love! I enjoyed it and Im happy we get to see these characters again🤞🏾
- Halley is a sports communication teacher and she loves her job. She was lowkey a tomboy with the sports stuff. She is a great auntie and sister. I loved the relationship she had with Star(her sister) and Tylo(her nephew). She gets stood up on a date and meets Jace a big time sports agent. He is very thoughtful and a BIG freak. Yes he is very good at his job but he's not an arrogant asshole about it.
- Now Halley girl why would you steal my Christmas list🤣🤣. No but seriously she had every girl's Christmas wish list! We all want a man to go on baecations with! Im happy Jace was that man for her. They literally just met but the chemistry was giving they knew each other for months. I really enjoyed that. I also loved the banter she had with her sister😫makes me wish I had a big sis! This was the perfect way to wrap up a fabulous year of writing @sedonarosewrites
- Definitely recommend another short holiday read!
Story had a good start with a meet cute that happens when a date doesn’t show up. I really liked the family tangent. There were friends that felt like family. Parents were talked about. It felt easy and comfortable with the couple.
The wishlist was also a very fun idea. The honesty with her list in the beginning was nice and his list towards the end was a nice touch.
There were a few things that didn't really feel believable or just careless, but they were not the main point of the book.
There were a few moments that I liked how much the FMC felt seen. There was also one time the MMC had a nice moment that elicited a fond memory with his family.
DANG Halley, one man coal is another man’s kindle 🔥‼️…Go Jacey! I adore a man that recognizes a precious jewel🎁‼️Christmas & wishes make “the most wonderful time & memories of the year”🥰‼️”The Christmas Wish” was an excellent kickoff to my 2023 holiday reading season. An absolutely great novella to read…Well done Ms. Rose 💐& Congratulations 👏🏿👏🏾👏🏽🤭 ! I’m looking forward to more of both Hallie & Jacey and the progression of their holiday hookup goals ..naughty & nice list/relationship.
Halley has not had any luck with dating. When her nephew asks her what she asked Santa to bring her for Christmas, she decides to ask Santa for help with her dating life. After getting stood up on another date, her list seems impossible until she meets Jace who makes all her wishes come true. Quick, cute read with all the holiday feels — snowball fights, gingerbread houses, and Santa help to bring the holiday cheer🎄🎅🏾❄️
This was a first read by Ms. Rose and I enjoyed Jace & Halley’s story, would def love to see more of them cause one man’s misstep is another man’s unexpected love! 💕 this was a quick novella about Halley’s failed love life that turned into an insta like due to her date standing her up! It was a refreshing read coming from the “book streets”! She gave us just the relight amount of smut, back story, and connection between the mmc & fmc….
So short, sweet but enjoyable. Halley hadn’t had much luck with dating before a date she made out her Christmas list. She never expected for anything to be checked off but her dating life took a turn for the better. This was such a nice read and the characters were very likable. This is my first read by this author and I will check out more books by her.
Halley's date standing her up was a bummer to start the book but oh how the plot turned. Meeting Jace and getting her Christmas wishes fulfilled was a good time with some holiday feel. I enjoyed how it's still gave a cozy vibe even though the characters were strangers. Cute holiday quick read. 🎄🎅🏿
Imagine getting stood up for a date and meeting the perfect man that same night? Wishful thinking? Not for Halley! Magic was really on her side because unexpectedly meeting Jace became the icing on the Christmas cake. The Christmas Wish” gave me me warm and fuzzy butterflies. Halley and Jace’s easygoing conversation, their banter and their chemistry just effortlessly flowed. Their impromptu date had me cheesing because it was so cute. The instalove gods were definitely on the authors side because it is done WELL in this book. This is my first read by the author and im reeled in enough to spin back and read the other books she’s written. In less than 60 pages this author has me praying for the same outcome as Halley. Emphasis on getting some holiday love! I enjoyed this book and definitely recommend. CW: mentioning the death of a parent
This was a quick read about being at the right place at the right time and having a good attitude about a bad situation. Love the chemistry between these two.
It was a cute short novella. What started off, as a bad date with a guy standing her up became the best thing that could have ever happened to her. She met the fine and charming Jace sitting at the bar. Who knew he would grant majority of her wishes.
I really did enjoyed this story. I love the bond that Jace and Halley created. This was first time reading this author but I definitely will be reading more from of her work.
I really enjoyed this story on Jace and Halley. It was a nice read about a Christmas meet-cute. I wish I could have been a little bit longer and a bit more detail. I will be looking to see if more books come of these characters.
This was exactly the book I need to bring me into the Christmas spirit. It made me wish for snow and cuddle to Christmas music. It’s fun, funny and sexy! Another great read by Sedona Rose!
This was a short and fun Christmas story, I love Jace and halley they hit it off right away no funny business and they had so much in common. Great short story for the Christmas holiday
This is such a cute holiday story, Jace a nice, naughty Santa that Halley deserves. Those Christmas Wishes were something I laughed once they were shown I think I'd like to read more about them.
Fast paced but excellent read. Stood up for a group date, Halley excuses herself to the bar to not be the fifth wheel. Little did she know, that would be the best night of her life. Santa is the man for making Christmas wishes come true.
