English name: Dissatisfied

The story follows the MC, Yan Yibing, who's the captain of of team Zero. He's 25 years old and has been playing PUBG professionally for 8 years. He once took in a disciple who's 7 years younger than him, hoping to groom him into the next leader of Zero, but due to a falling out between them, the disciple (and ML) Han Mo was kicked out of the team and now leads team Prince. Due to their past, both players are universally believed by both fans and other pro players to have a bad relationship.

This is technically an e-sports novel but it's quite light on e-sports elements imo. For one thing, the MC and ML aren't even on the same team. I didn't like either of the main characters initially, but they eventually grew on me. However, I thought that the story wasn't fully wrapped up by the end, and I found the side CP super random and don't understand why the author dedicated 20+ chapters at the end to them.

**Warning: Spoilers Ahead**

I wasn't initially a fan of Yan Yibing. We find out pretty quickly why he kicked Han Mo out of Zero a couple of years ago, and I thought he was too harsh and quick in punishing HM. Yes I get that he had extra high expectations for Han Mo, but at least listen to his side of the story before you kick him out.

I felt so bad for Han Mo that in his moment of need, when his jerk father refused to do anything and he had to try and scrounge up hundreds of thousands of dollars for his mom's cancer treatment, he had to deal with the added stress of being rejected by his crush and his career getting ruined, all while celebrating his 18th birthday alone. It's really heartbreaking when you think about it. Later on YYB's character grew on me when he decided to own up to his mistake and apologize to Han Mo, even if he did it drunk. And then you find out exactly how lazy and picky he is. What a princess.

I also wasn't a huge fan of Han Mo's character. He comes off as being a bit too obsessed with his master. I didn't like how after he drunkenly confessed to YYB, he kept kissing and saying sexually loaded lines to YYB even though he knew YYB wasn't ready and hadn't accepted him. It made me uncomfortable to read to be honest. Dude needs to take a chill pill. There's so much unnecessary sexual tension:

So Han Mo took the plastic cup, lightly pursed his lips, and took a sip through the straw.

Yan Yibing's eyes flickered.

The place where he had just sucked was now being touched by Han Mo.

Han Mo pursed his thin lips, squeezed the straw flat, and then gently pressed his tongue against the edge. A soft line was drawn by the delicate tip of his tongue, and he took a sip of water, and chewed on the barley, his movements slow.

Yan Yibing couldn't bear to watch anymore.

Drinking water was turning into something so ambiguous, almost like he wasn't just sucking on a straw.

Things only got better when YYB realizes his feelings and gradually accepts HM's actions, and after that the romance was pretty sweet.

There were some funny moments, like when YYB wanted to pay HM back for the hospital bill, so he sent him the most expensive package in his streaming room and didn't realize it was the love package with hearts. Or when YYB pretended to be a girl (with an expensive voice changer and all) to fish for Prince's tactics. It's such a ridiculous premise that would never fly in real life, but it was amusing to read about, especially when HM sees right through Xiaoyemao when he accidentally exposes his real skills XP

Like I mentioned at the beginning of my review, there aren't a whole lot of gaming elements in this novel. It felt like the boys were constantly on leave for one thing or another. They have a month off after some casual domestic tournament and go on a cruise with a group of other pro players. Then when they need to ramp up on their training for the East Asian Games, the MC catches the mumps and needs to take a week off to recover. Then it's Chinese Valentine's day and they go on a date to Disneyland. I finally felt like I was reading an e-sports novel near the end, when they were participating in the world championships, but not before that. I don't even know the name of the other team members on the Prince and Zero teams because they barely show up.

The story ended on a weird note. The MC's team wins the championships, but there's no mention of him retiring or Zero recruiting Han Mo to be the next captain. It's hinted at a couple times that YYB's getting older and can't keep up with the younger players and that he's thinking about retirement, so I thought the author would close out that plot point, but nada. Instead, the author jumps into what feels like a bunch of side chapters with a flashback to HM's time in Zero's training camp and then some chapters focusing on the side CP with the Zero team manager and one of their sponsors. Everything after the championships just felt very disjointed, especially because they weren't labelled as extra chapters. And Han Mo and Yan Yibing never join the same team even by the end, which was disappointing. I would've wanted to see them play together more.

Lovely slowburn romance ❤️
This is the story of two esport players that were master/disciple in the same team 4 years ago. But suddenly the distiple disappeared.

Today, he is working as streamer and finally get into a esport leage, but not in his past team. So the relationship between him and his old master is cranky!

After the reunion tho, they start being friendly again and clearing some past misunderstandings.

Is long and a veryyyy slow burn but it worth it 🥺

Alsooo, there is a extra sidestory at the end about a second pair and is so cuuute!
