Begin Again: Part 1

Rate this book
This is the Part 1 of Begin Again.

Eden McBride spent her whole life colouring within the lines. But when her fiancé dumps her one month before their wedding, Eden is done following the rules. A hot rebound is exactly what the doctor recommends for her broken heart. No, not really. But it's what Eden needs.

Liam Anderson, the heir to the biggest logistics company in Rock Union, is the perfect rebound guy. Dubbed the Three Months Prince by the tabloids because he's never with the same girl longer than three months, Liam's had his fair share of one-night stands and doesn't expect Eden to be anything more than a hookup. Liam is irritated but oddly intrigued when he wakes up and finds her gone, along with his favourite denim shirt. No woman has ever left his bed willingly or stolen from him. Eden has done both. He needs to find her and make her account.

But in a city with more than five million people, finding one person is as impossible as winning the lottery. Until fate brings them together again two years later. Eden is no longer the naive girl she was when she jumped into Liam's bed. She now has a secret to protect at all costs. Liam is determined to get everything Eden stole from him, and it's not just his shirt.

Really loving this book but sadly can’t continue. Having already spent $30 USD to read what I now know is only 1/3 of the story is above and beyond. I’m a single parent and sadly don’t have a million sitting in my bank account. I’m sorry but I find it beyond outrageous to spend that kind of money on a book that’s electronic. Kudos to the author who must be raking it in by exploiting avid readers. If you have $100 USD to spend reading this book, go for it.

This is by far the best book I've ever read. There is romance, sex, and suspense. I've never been bored while reading, I read the first 100 chapters in one night! Liam's and Eden truely have so many hurdles but are so madly in love with each other, love keeps bringing them back together.

The book was ok, and would it have been on kindle or similar the score would have been higher. This was the last time i'll read a book in any of these expensive apps. I think reading this cost me like 40$ which i way to expensive, so i would not recommend anybody to read it.

Was a great book until, I found out you had to pay for the it half way through. Which was disappointing in it self.
Haven't managed to find the second half to read anywhere...so if anyone has please let me know without paying. I would be grateful 🙏.

The only thing negative about this book that since it is only online novel to pay for chapters, I spent quite a lot of money on this one. But my curiousity about the love story got the best of me.

Beautiful book, I wish I can read more chapters. I feel sorry for Eden but I also think she made the right decision by leaving.

I really liked this book but to spend so much money for an online e-book is ridiculous. I'm all for supporting but I'd prefer paying a once of fee of R300 instead of paying R300 for every 40 chapters it's a scam and I haven't even completed the book yet.

When I read Begin Again by Val Sims it was initially a palette cleanser. While I enjoy reading about werewolves and reverse harems, sometimes, it is good to change things up and read something different.

Begin Again popped up in the list of books that give bonus coins for reading 3 chapters. I looked at the preview and said, “sure, why not.” Eden is jilted a month before her wedding has a one-night stand with a billionaire then leaves him before he wakes. Later she finds herself pregnant but hesitates in contacting him because she thinks he is getting married.

Liam Anderson has a reputation for only being with a woman for 3-months. After his one-night stand with Eden, something surprising happened … he couldn’t get it up! Somehow, she broke him! He desperately searches for her but since they didn’t even exchange names, he had no idea where to find her.

Eden returns two years later clueless about Liam’s dilemma and with a secret of her own to protect. The story gets more interesting as it progresses and I found myself buying coins and wishing for sudden discounts just so I could finish the story.

Eden is a stubborn angel, but then she is a protective mother so I get that. Liam is arrogant and scared so his mishaps, while funny, were predictable. It helped Liam that at his first sighting of Eden he felt a response in his pants.

Their love for each other is so obvious to everyone else but each other that it is almost painful to read … but I couldn’t stop! I had to know how they would resolve things. Look for Begin Again by Val Sims on Goodnovel. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. 🙂

I feel for the author and their struggles against those putting her book up on other platforms as theirs. And I like them based on the notes they've said and interactions with readers.

But this book 🙄. It was good enough at first to catch me in - with some suspension of belief. But the main character cries so much. And the women constantly "hiss" their phrases. Did I mention the constant screaming? Plus the crazy overt sexism and harassment was too much. Finger wagging and sassing and machoism. So much anger it was off-putting and I think a lot of the characters were unrealistic. It was all too much for me. I like to escape the world and its problems.

Also, these web books? Not the format for me. Either spend $45 for the book or read it across months... No thank you.
