Slide In Deep
Skye Holiday just wanted to be happy even though she had no idea what that was supposed to look like. There was no love and no love loss in her household growing up. This may be the first erotica that I’ve read that got zero reaction from my girl 😏 I mean she wasn’t milly rocking or nothing. Let me start by saying there is a disclaimer at the beginning of this book so you really know what to expect. The disclaimer wasn’t my issue because I’m used to reading books with this content. My issue was that I didn’t feel a connection sexual or emotional reading this book. The words were there but they didn’t translate to me. I didn’t feel the love connection nor sexual energy between these characters at all. I didn’t even feel the connection between the siblings or friends. The parents were the only ones I vibed with. I wanted to DNF the book at 40% but based off the reviews I assumed that I hadn’t made it to the moment that would turn the story around for me just yet so I kept going. Wrong 🥴 this book simply did t do it for me.

The problem with this book is it gave us the climax very early on and afterwards, there wasn't much left to the storyline. There was no build up, the author just...went in and...that was it. After that, they were just two people screwing all over the place. Then there was the overuse of curse words that really weren't necessary most times, making the characters sound so corny. I love a good slutty read but this one missed the mark.

The storyline started off intriguing. "Administrative assistant in lust for her grouchy boss", but it seems the story got disconnected somewhere and just went to straight fu*king and explicit language! Lol. I'm definitely not a prude, and I love a good smutty novella but they went from 0-10 in one scene! I like a little build up or angst in my boss to lover novels. Overall it was decent. There was a issue of continuity with the names that threw me off . (Skye called Ezra Mr. Turner and Mr. Knight).

Just ok. Hot and steamy, definitely
I liked this read well enough, just could have done without every other encounter seeming more like Ezra coerced Skye into sex. I liked how Skye was feisty and didn’t take Ezra’s crap, but even that was only to a certain extent. I guess she wasn’t really resisting, just not really putting her foot down either. So, it wasn’t pervy, just kinda got old quick.

India Norfleet never misses! This book is a Christmas Erotica! I went into it blind, only reading the title! Skye Holiday was the assistant to Ezra Turner (A Grumpy Boss). He finally goes to far in his daily shenanigans, Skye goes off on him! But what they didn’t know was they were really harboring feelings for each other! This book gives you ALL the feels! Especially the ending! I was sitting here smiling as I was reading it!

First off, let me say—I cried at the end. Something about the outcome had me emotional. The story definitely had its twists and turns, but the pacing felt a bit like a flight that took its sweet time to land.
The workplace action? Whew, it was A LOT 😫—but hey, when you own the company, I guess anything goes! And just when you think things are settling, BAM! Six chapters of intense "sliding in deep," followed by a whirlwind of drama that somehow leads to a sunset-worthy ending.

Good spicy read!
Ezra was truly an asshole lol and Skye was a little firecracker. I loved how she didn’t hesitate to put him in his place. They started out with hot and steamy sex but quickly fell for one another. Both being just what the other didn’t know they needed. My first read from this author recommend by a friend, I’m looking forward to reading more.

This was awful. There was no real character development, no substantial plot, and the characters were stereotypical, vile, and vulgar.
Who would honestly condone their children having sex in the kitchen pantry in a full house with someone who isn’t a partner?
India wanted to write a vulgar sex-filled book. Got it. But did it have to be so subpar?

I think Ezra had feelings for Skky x for a very long time and when he felt he was about to loose her he acted on those feelings which only brought out more possessive, jealous actions. Happy she decided to finally accept what they were doing was way more than sex to him. Great read.
