Sinister cultists? A catgirl kidnapping? An elite enemy Titan? Sounds like a job for Harper’s Harriers!
Locke has finally adjusted to life on the fantastical world of Haven—but with his hot new body, magic powers, and giant mech called a Titan, how could he not? Especially since he flies on a ship full of gorgeous women who call him captain (both of his airship … and in their beds).
Soon he’ll have to put all those resources to use because Peth, the incorporeal space witch trapped inside his Titan, has experienced a dark premonition about the Crystal Moon—and in Locke’s experience, “weird moon stuff” is just another way to spell trouble.
Which proves prescient when moon cultists show up alongside a terrifyingly advanced Titan wielding all four magical elements. They assault the Harriers’ airship and kidnap one of his crew—the shy catgirl Sloan, who has a dark history with these cultists.
Locke is determined not to let any harm come to her, and the Harper’s Harriers surge into action. But why do the cultists want Sloan in the first place? How do these events connect to the ever-darkening shadow on the Crystal Moon? And are their Titans powerful enough to take on this new, mysterious foe?
I just finished the Ultimate Supreme Hyper-Mega edition of Titan Mage and this is my totally original and not plagiarized at all, review.
When in the course of human events it becomes necessary to dissolve the physical bonds that connects one with their home universe and to assume the powers of Titan Magery sufficient to defend a totally different universe and live on a ship with five hot women who all really appreciate his new body.
We hold the truth, that this is some kind of "Harem story" to be self evident, and that the male protagonist was not created equally, that they were endowed with impressive "attributes" by the imagination of someone with hair that is most likely purple.
I wasn't completely sure what to expect, as I had never read a Harem Fantasy before, but being "not dumb" and also knowing the meaning of lots of words, had a pretty good idea of what I was going to read. (Side note: I'm not exactly a prude, but I am definitely a happily married monogamist who is uncomfortable with the whole "Harem" thing.) That said, I did skip through the "Haremy" parts of the story, although I'm certain they were as well written as the rest of the book(s) were.
All the "Haremy" stuff aside, this was an incredibly well written and enjoyable series to read. The story moved along at a good pace and I cared about what happened to the characters. Some reviews said this was predictable, but to them I say "all well-written stories are predictable because the author can't very well just kill off all of their main characters randomly, you numpty." The trope of this book requires that the main character becomes very powerful and ultimately wins, because how pissed off would everyone be if the bad guy ultimately won?" The only thing that matters is if you enjoyed the story along way, and I did. Is it Anna Karenina? No. Of course, it never tried to be. In fact, I would say it is the least "Anna Kareninay" book I have ever read and it takes not being Anna Karenina to new and wonderful heights. Furthermore, it is also not Great Expectations, but if you have great expectations when you start you will not be disappointed. (Provided you're not a numpty with unrealistic great expectations.)
What is not to love about giant robots stomping around killing stuff? Nothing. Nothing at all.
If I were pressed to find a fault, it would be that there are no tacos, but they do have great brisket so I figure that eventually someone there will figure it out and become the most powerful person on the planet.
I recommend you give this series a try and if, like me, you're not into the whole "Harem" thing, use your fingers and just turn the pages until those sections are done. I submit that is what fingers were made for.
Absolutely and breathtakingly Intense, but awesome book that is impossible to put down once you start.
With the blend of science fantasy, magic and steampunk aesthetic, the world building is spectacular and hits the right notes to be a favourite of mine.
Add in the awesome characters, both gorgeous and intelligent crew and a heroic main character who is willing to do anything to protect their world and make them happy.
I love every aspect of this series and even though this book is only recently released in already dying to read the next one!
After their recent bounties, Blue Heron’s reputation has earned them better-paying bounties and employers competing for their services. They can afford ship maintenance and better Titan upgrades. Life is looking pretty good until someone kidnaps Sloan. The meteorites are falling faster and The Crystal Moon is smiling…not a good sign!
The battles are fierce, the crew is steamy, and there is plenty of humor in this fourth book in the series. Once I started reading it I knew I wouldn’t stop until the last page! I received a free advance copy but my review is honest and voluntary.
And another book of this saga is completed. This was an awesome book.
Plot was still interesting and easy to follow. The MC and his girls are still fun and entertaining to read about. The only issue was the battles between the MC and Pious where it was hard to keep track of what they were doing in the fight.
Still, this was a good book to read and pass the time.
Looking forward to reading the next book and the coming apocalypse against Avarice.
Definitely another worthy entry in the series. Things are getting more intense and the crew is getting more and more famous. There are also hints that it may grow in the future, which should be interesting. I'm really looking forward to the continuation of the series. It does feel like it may be heading towards a conclusion in a book or two though. I hope I'm wrong as I'm thoroughly enjoying it, but I guess we'll see.
I love this series, but I have some issues regarding this particular volume.
None of the character's logic makes sense to me, especially Locke's. It feels like I'm trapped and forced to see a group of people doing stupid things, and I'm unable to leave. None of the characters can put 2 and 2 together. And doesn't matter how many reinforcements Locke brought to battle, he always fights alone. I know it was set up that way because plot gotta plot but the whole thing doesn't make sense to me.
As always we the reader are drawn into another exceptional world built for our imagination to play in!!! Some really serious twists and turns this time kept me guessing throughout and made me desire even more of this series!!! Bring on more unique magic, adventures and exciting women!!!
So good I want more, there was a satisfying progression in the story but it only uncovered more of the intrigue so that I eagerly look forward the next book, I had a few good laughs, the fights kept me reading as fast as I could and I won’t go into details about the effects the sexy parts had on me, highly recommended
Pious is in for a bad week. Locke is in for a bad.. Good... Frustrating... Awesome week. Sloan bad week... Then great. Ember, Alyssa and Bexley.. Over all good with some sprinkles of bad. And Peth well she gets the beat week of all. I have thoroughly enjoyed this series. Ms. Skye is moving up quickly in my favorite a list.
This story has been building a greater narrative from the start and this book consolidates most of the storyline in preparation for what I assume will be the finale of the series.
This book is good, but very eventful, things don't slow down much nor often, but it is handled well. I look forward to seeing how the sequel will wrap up the series, I have high hopes.
So we will get history of the precursors and a new pilot! She has three abilities so will be interesting. Will the "goo" be used for enhancements or to much risk? I would think just toss the moon into the sun should solve the problem.
This series has been a blast. I love a book where all the heroes will come e together to vex an enemy. Looking forward to reading what I assume is the conclusion in book 5
