Diary of a DMDD Mom breaks down what one mother did to regain some peace and control in the home. After years of battling and trying everything experts recommended, things had only gotten worse. Finding a happy balance took some creativity, trial and error, and a lot of will power. But, it happened. This mom wants to share what worked for her family with the others out there struggling. If you feel like there’s no hope and you’ve tried everything, this book might help. This mom felt exactly like that and wants to encourage parents and children to find the happiness her family has.
This book was created by a mother of a child with DMDD. She is not a mental health professional. Please consult with your own child’s mental health team. No two children are the same. What worked for her family may or may not work for others. But, if you feel you’ve tried everything, like this mom did, this book might offer inspiration, hope, and ideas.
This was a good perspective with personal experience. While I understand this is a mom solely giving her outlook on how things went and what they tried and what worked and what didn't I wish it was just a little longer. But I understand why its not. As a mother of a dmdd'er is good to feel not alone and see things through someone else's eyes for a change.
