Habs Fan from Newfoundland

Rate this book
Newfoundlander Brian Rideout is obsessed with the Montreal Canadiens NHL hockey club. Habs Fan from Newfoundland is his account of how he became enamoured with the team, his joy at seeing them play in the Form, and the bittersweet move to the Molson Centre. Rideout also takes every opportunity to poke fun at the Toronto Maple Leafs. A tongue-in-cheek look at what it takes to be a fan of the Montreal Canadiens.

This book was not written by a professional author, detached and merely an observer of the Canadiens. This is really just a love letter from a fan to the team that he loves. Not everyone will enjoy this book, but if you are a Habs fan (from anywhere, not just Newfoundland), you'll appreciate this book. I have my own memories of the Habs, both joyful and painful, and am a devout, fanatic of the Canadiens, so it is as nice to read of someone else's relationship with the Habs.
