⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️- "I really enjoyed this book. I found myself always rooting for the main characters. They were each strong people by themselves, but I just knew that they'd be better together. The story is fun to read. I think it's Emma Lynn Mae's best one to date. Can't wait to read more." -VW

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️- "Big fan of romance that reminds me of home and brings back feelings of true love, NOT the modern day kinda love. Would recommend!" - Alondra

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️- "Cousin Jesse is a good story. I felt sorry for Jesse when he thought he was helping, he was only upsetting the rest of his family and friends. He was trying hard to help out. I really liked that when he finally heard what his girlfriend was trying to tell him, he found that he was coming across like a know-it-all. I'm so happy with the way the story ended!"
- Barbara

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️- "Divorced single-dad Jesse goes home after a ten-year estrangement from his family, having learnt almost nothing about approaching the problems on the family farm. It takes his high-school friend, Susie, to show him the correct way of approaching people to convince them into his way of thinking.
This was an easy-to-read, enjoyable novella, set in a small town, with realistic and likeable characters." - Lia-L

Jesse had a terrible fight with his father ten years ago and he left to never come back, but his mother asks him to return to help them on the ranch, and he does it.
Susie has always been working with her family but seeing Jesse again all the memories of their youth together are back.
Jessie and Susie are very different; he is quick taking decisions and making things better improving them, and Susie goes with the slow motion of the little town. Little towns and the people living there don’t like changes.
An entertaining book.

Jesse comes home with his young daughter, having been estranged from his family for years. While there, he reconnects with a friend from high school. Jesse is a complicated and frustrating character. While he's an amazing dad, he doesn't seem to have learned any lessons about getting along with his dad. Susie is his opposite - she plays well with others, and isn't afraid to call him out. I enjoyed this book; I just wish that it was a little bit longer. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Promising Beginnings

This is the first book of a series, it shows promising beginnings of a family torn apart and the reunited. With Yellowstone being so popular right now, this book has a difficult genre to compare to- I would have liked a little more detail, in both the characters and the ranch way of life. However, it is a series, and I’ll bet some of my questions WILL be answered in the next book… so yup, I’m gonna keep reading! Book 2, here I come…
