Ashli Belle Kaine has spent what seems like a lifetime tucked away in a box. One Christmas, her life is flipped upside down not of her own doing, yet she must face the consequences. Once freed, she vows to enjoy her holiday season and forget her horrible past and the dreams it took from her.
Avi Kole has experienced tragedy, leaving his heart colder than it has ever been. The single father isn't big on the holidays, but when he meets Ashli, something inside of him shifts.
Passion ignites between these two, not only for each other but for life. 'Tis the season for passion in Avi and Ashli's world. Will they make it a beautiful one, or will insecurities and fear threaten the spark lit within them?
Ashli got railroaded and spent seven years behind bars. Now all she wants is to get her life back, keep men out of her heart so they don't get her into trouble (again), but first? Maybe let one give her an orgasm. The man she picks to do the honors is Avi Kole, and she definitely gets more than a one night stand.
Okay, watching Avi crash out behind Ashli was funny, I'm not gonna lie. He was borderline stalking her, but he didn't want to hurt her and I found myself begging Ashli right along with him, lol. Give our boy a chance! Lol. The relationship with AJ was one of the best parts of the book. I love the way M. Monique does stepparents. She makes sure they fall in love with the kids FIRST. It was fast paced, as I expected and as it was supposed to be, but still really romantic and passionate. I love the way Avi never lost his cool. He just pushed forward every time there was a setback and didn't let anything deter his focus. I also loved the way he stood up for Ashli and made it his business to get restitution for what she endured, even if she didn't know it. Ashli being a writer spoke right to me, and I loved how she bounced back, and never forgot her girls when she got to the outside. Good holiday story.
Ate this up. Avi is a single father and widower who only cares about Christmas because of his son. Ashli just was released after serving fed time for a crime she didn’t commit. Shortly after he release she’s introduced to Avi and when I tell you that man did not come to play. Avi was so intentional even when Ashli was tryna play hard to get. He stood on business. That man said If I thought you’d say yes, I would’ve asked you to marry me day one. Ugh swoon. Once they got it together these too were so adorable. Good amount of drama to keep you invested but not overtake the Christmas vibe. I will say I have unanswered questions but I enjoyed this. I would recommend.
M. Monique doesn't miss. This was my most anticipated of the series. Avi is a dope boy turned millionaire. His wife suspiciously dies making him a single father. Ashli gets caught up with a man who wasn't worth her in the first place and ends up in the worst place. They are a chance meeting with instant chemistry. Ashli is scared to love but Avi is not taking no for an answer! This book gives all the feels, the spice is on point, and don't forget the Christmas vibes. I highly recommend. M. Monique has magic in her pen.
I need for all of M. Monique’s reads to be at least 700 pages. Her penmanship is extraordinary making it impossible to just be satisfied with a short read. Nonetheless, this was on point and captivating from beginning to end. Not Avi falling in love at first sight and wanting to marry her by the second sight. Not him avoiding every question she throw at him to move them right along to where he needed her to be. This was just to dern sweet.
Listen to me I will read whatever M.Monique pens! I love how Avi was written, he was legit but was also about that life if need be. Their story was so amazing it wasn’t instant and she wasn’t just smitten and went with whatever he said. She challenged him, she spoke her mind and come to find out he loved it. She was strong, independent and just wanted to be loved and Avi was the one to do it.
I enjoyed this short Christmas read soooo much. Avi, Ashli, & AJ were the cutest.
Huney is trash! Sleeping w/ your husband best friend & having a child. On top of that faking your death & leaving your oldest child. She came back thinking Avi would feel sympathy. Girl bye.
Nick & Rudy loyalty is unmatched. Nick had me side eyeing him but he came through.

This was a good read. However, there were several discrepancies like her middle name, the age in which AJ was when huney died, and the age she went to jail. Other than that, it was a great read
