Another banger in a long series of hits.

Only negative when it comes to reading books by Dirk Patton is having to wait patiently for the next one. A wild roller coaster of a read… Always a super fun ride! If you’re just getting turned into the V Plague series, you’re fortunate as there is a lot to this series to keep you entertained for a while. If like me, you’re all caught up… Guess we’ll keep searching the Kindle store for something to keep engaged until Mr. Patton drops his next book. (If Dirk Patton reads these reviews… Anything you can do to compress the wait between releases will be greatly appreciated!)

Well, after the cliffhanger ending, it appears Mr. Patton has at least another book in mind. The entire V Plague series, the current Legacy series, as well as the previous series all all great B-movie, popcorn fair. If you are old enough to remember the short serial films that played between the double features in the 50's movie theaters, you know exactly what I mean. I plan to re-read several from the first series a second time just to solidify in my mind who some of the main players are again and their relationship with John Chase to bring me up to speed with this series.

AGAIN!!!!!!!!

I swear, one of these days, I’m gonna have a heart attack because of the King of Cliffhangers! You’re killing me Dirk.

As Dirk states at the beginning of each novel, if this is your first V-Plague novel, STOP, buy and download V-Plague: Unleashed and read from the beginning. You’ll be hopelessly lost in the storyline if you don’t. 22 books and counting and I’m still hooked and anxiously awaiting the next!

Well, that was a surprise!

So, Mavis and John end up in the Israeli equivalent of a lab/clinic with next generation infected running around, mold spores making people crazy, Chinese running around, Rachel is madder than a wet hornet and Martinez is flying again.
And when you think things can’t possible get anymore convoluted…bam! Let’s end this one with a surprise Russian guest star!

Why can't Rachel just go away.

Waah waah waah. My legendary husband is doing his job, but without pregnant me.

Waah waah waah. My extremely capable adopted daughter is doing her job, but without pregnant me.

Waah waah waah. The president won't tell pregnant me every single secret.

Waah waah waah. I'm better than everyone, screw their missing husband or getting them court marshalled for easing my giant ego, it's all about me.

Great book as always!!

I had anxiously waited for this book to come out! But when it did to my dismay it was a novella. This gave me enough to keep me salivating for more! Now the next question is when do we get more?? Hope its soon there are too many cliff hangers going on for it to be long!!

Congrats to Dirk Patton. You are teaching a new generation what it means to “jump the shark.” The last sequence of the story featuring John is so ridiculous I can’t even count the ways. The only honorable way out of the corner you have written yourself into is to have John realize the scene is a hallucination “a la Bobby Ewing.” Please do better.

Battle

The book finished with a climax . Two characters who are both enhanced by a virus face off but the result was saved for the next book in the series. Loop. I guess I will be buying it.

Haven

And the drama continues! Have wondered when certain factions would make themselves known, & what they would do. Now let's see where Dirk Patton will take it to.

Excellent

These serial novellas are excellent, and are keeping this outstanding series moving forward. I just wish the interval between releases would be reduced.

It was a bit harder to jump back into the story this time after such a long absence, but Patton still delivers in the end.
