We’ve been spoiled by Sadie Kincaid lately first we got Ryan Christmas then a few weeks later we got Ryan Restraint and now Ryan New Year .I just can’t enough if Jessie , Shane , Conor , Mike’s & Liam and I’ll keep reading so keep them coming.
Once again, this novella which isn't really a novella, is just an extended spicy scene involving characters from a previous series. I will say the "novellas" do seem to be in order and extend the timeline of the characters and there are slivers of plot elements that do propel the timeline along, but make no mistake there is no real plot, it is just a steamy, spice scene that will take you less than 30 minutes to read but is still enjoyable if you like the spice and the characters then for sure keep reading these!
This short little novella reminds us how important not jumping to conclusions... even at a NYE night out at their club. The family has some decisions to make about the future... and Shane gets a little over the top about it. There is some spice as always too!!
Well, the Ryan's sure know how to ring in a holiday. This novella is part of the New York Ruthless series and is one of quite a few books that happen after the Happily Ever After.
This time they are hoping to celebrate the New Year and while they do get to plenty of celebrating it's not without a little bit of drama.
If you're looking for a deep story with plenty of action, move on. If you're looking for some hot steamy scenes from your favorite Irish Mafia men then step right up and indulge. . . . Jessie and the guys plan to ring in the New Year at the Peacock Club. After the mess at Christmas, they aren't taking any chances and they plan to keep Jessie in their sights all night. While Shane and Jessie are waiting for the others to join them they don't spend the time idly, but when Liam interrupts with news that there could be trouble the festivities have to take a pause. After the confrontation, Shane is left boiling mad.
When Jessie makes a comment it only sends Shane further into a rage. Knowing he's not going to calm easily Jessie uses her intimate knowledge of her husband to tame the beast. But, after all is said and done, no one much feels like seeing the New Year in at the club. Instead, they head home to celebrate in true Ryan form.
“Because in case you hadn’t noticed, there is no us without you. There is no me without you,” my words catch on a sob in my throat.'
After the celebrations are done Jessie might finally give the boys the answer to the question they asked at Christmas.
'I look across at my brothers and we’ve all got the same dopey ass grins on our faces. The smile stays on my face as I close my eyes. This year is going to be our best yet.'
Yaayyyyy… I simply cannot get enough of the Ryan family with their interesting and unique dynamic. If you haven’t read the New York Ruthless series… well, what are you waiting for? Read it now! Definitely make sure you’ve read all the series before you get into any of the short stories.
Every single one of these short stories just piques my curiosity as to what it must be like for Jessie to have all these amazingly gorgeous and hot-as-heck husbands that absolutely dote on her every single moment. So adored, so cherished, so loved.
With every chapter I’ve come to love these brothers more and more, and whilst I have my favourites, I also wouldn’t say no to any of them. They are absolute Adonis’s and their sexual encounters certainly raise the eyebrows and the pulse rate. Sure, their less than traditional marriage may not be for everyone but hey, it works for them and actually, after all these books, I can’t - and don’t want to - imagine anything but Jessie with all her Ryan’s. It wouldn’t be right.
A Ryan New Year was a quick, spicy pick-up for me when I was in the mood for something fast and indulgent, and I grabbed it mainly because of the high ratings. I haven’t read the original series, but honestly? This novella made me curious enough to want to go back and read it—because four brothers and one wife?? How did we get here, and why do I kind of want the backstory?
The possessiveness of the male characters and the dynamic between everyone was definitely intriguing, even without full context. That said, this book reads very much like a filler novella between larger installments. It leans heavily into reverse harem erotica with minimal plot, and since I didn’t already know the characters, I didn’t feel emotionally connected to any of them.
I went into this (and stayed in it) treating it purely as erotica rather than a story-driven read. It delivered exactly that—scene after scene, fast-paced, and unapologetically spicy. In the end, it did what I needed it to do: entertain me quickly without asking too much of my brain. Solid 3 stars, and maybe a gateway into the rest of the series.
So if I had read all the other books in this series I think this could have been a 3 star or higher. I just felt like I picked up a book and open to the middle of the story. In my opinion this should not be read as a stand alone and should be read with the series. The writing, plot, characters and over all story was good I just didn't feel connected to the story and just felt kinda lost. I do think I will go back and read this series from the beginning and then maybe I can update this review. So if you have read the other books in this series I 100% recommend you read this. However, if you are like me and haven't read this series yet I would not recommend this New Years Novella.
A Ryan New Year was a follow-up short story to the New York Ruthless series about the four Ryan brothers and their shared wife, Jessie. While all five Ryans were at one of their clubs for the holiday, an old Ryan nemesis showed up and caused a bit of trouble. Once it was dealt with Jessie made a comment about their future that set Shane off. Once that was resolved, they all headed home for a night of bed tumbling. A short, spicy novella to add new dimensions to the series. This one was worthy of a four-star rating.
A Ryan New Year 🍾🥂 What better way to start your New Year off than with spicy mafia romance, Ryan family style?! This is honesty, my favorite shorts of the Ryan series... so far
It's filled with praise, some punishment, and a whole lot of moments you will never forget.🥵🖤
Sadie Kincaid keeps on giving us more, and I couldn't be happier. The Ryan Series is one of the best RH/ Why choose books I have read.

Review: Picked this novella up for a quick new year themed read and it didn't disappoint!
I loved the multiple POV tho it was more Jessie than the men! I enjoyed the quick read and now I have added the actual series to my tbr because I love the writing style from Sadie!
Not to mention just the glimpse of the different brothers 🥵🥵🥵 Connor or Shane are gonna be my favorite I think. Curious to see if this holds true after i read them 👀

While the plot sometimes treads familiar ground, the fresh perspective and emotional depth ensure a rewarding read. Overall, "Sadie Kincaid" is an enjoyable book that offers both entertainment and introspection.
Sadie, you keep me wanting more and more of these men every book we get!! This series is literally my favourite. I recommend it to every single person asking for recs. I love how all the brothers are different and love Jessie differently but are all the same when it comes to protecting her. Ugh. I can never get enough.
As always what an amazing hot short for the Ryan brothers and Jessie. I hope they one day they won't have to deal with issues from the past. I love how these men have become such family guys. And more Ryan babies possibly on the horizon is awesome.
I absolutely love these Ryan shorts❤️❤️ I can not wait to see what Sadie has next for us in the ruthless world. I am excited to see where life will go for the Ryan family next. I am also interested to see what we will learn from the other family that showed up in this short in coming ruthless books❤️❤️
I love this series! I started with a Ryan Christmas and decided to keep the holiday theme going and run into the New Year’s book and I haven’t been disappointed yet! I love the spice and I love the plot and I love how protective these brothers are over Jessie!
The hottest short novella that sadie has blessed us as usual who ever had the chance to meet the ryans knows its never enough with them ... i love them all but conor has a special place in my heart never envied a woman as much as i envy lucky jessie
Love the series. Every novella makes it even better. I’ve never known an author to do this before but please don’t stop. Waiting for Valentine’s Day with the Ryan’s. ❤️🌶❤️🌶❤️🌶❤️🌶
I loved this short story, i am enjoying all the short stories and just staying in this world. There is a hint to an other baby? so maybe we get another short story about that? I really hope we get more book because I just love these characters and storyline.
Read every one of the series, even the little ones. Such a good series. How she linked everything together was great. Was wondering if that is it? I have so much invested in the Ryans now. I need to know if they have more kids and ever get out of the life.
I have enjoyed reading all the Ryan brothers books, I do hope there will be more soon, I do prefer the full books to the novellas as there Jennifer get lost in. But if I'm honest I will anything they are in.
Lots of spice but I have also fallen in love with their story. The entire New York series makes me feel like I know them as real people. Such great character development and story lines and connections - not a detail missed!
No surprise on how Jessie and the Ryan brothers celebrated one year coming to a close 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ and I don't think there's any surprise that they already have plans for the new year. This series may cause a book hangover when it's actually done.
i loved this mini series it was wonderful and i went through it like a breeze. the mfm was a little chringe and it was a little harder to keep track who was who in the first book but after the rest of the book was just a joy to read and was refreshing
I never thought I would consider “Mafia Fluff” as a genre, but if you just need a burst of spice without the anxiety of the full plot and story… (or if you just want a glimpse of the love after the HEA) this is a great little story to meet those needs.
