Exit the Cave: Ending the Reincarnation Trap, Book 1

Rate this book
Most people will say something feels terribly wrong...with reality, the world, life. Why is that? Because something is wrong. This whole experience called "life on Earth" is a falsified lie.
Standard spirituality, religion and the New Age tell us that we live in a wonderful world, made by a creator who loves us, and who is always waiting for our prayers. Yet some groups, such as the Gnostics and Cathars, believed that we live in a virtual reality simulation, fashioned by an evil creator, with the purpose of consuming our energy and keeping our soul trapped. Plato created the allegory of the Cave to present that we live in a non- real reality, and in fact, are prisoners in it.
Exit the Cave takes a candid exploration into the reincarnation trap, by unpacking a plethora of diverse information from ancient texts and near death experiences, to movies such as Dark City and Westworld in an attempt to deconstruct and understand Plato's Cave allegory. Most significant of it all, is how important it is to be prepared at the moment of one's death - our only true "guaranteed experience." What awaits us on the other side of turning our back on constant incarnations in a pit of suffering? Perhaps it is what our soul has been dreaming of for eons... going Home.

Howdie Mickoski is the author of Falling For Truth, and The Power of Then-Revealing Egypt's Lost Wisdom.
He began his life as a stand-up comedian and hockey coach, but began to study the ancient civilizations of Egypt and Mexico in 1997. This led to the study of Zen, Native Indian Medicine, Alchemy, Gnosticism and comparative religions and spirituality. This study led to the Power of Then.
He had a death experience in 2005 that led him to change his research and writing focus to present his new insight, that of dealing with reality and the self in a complete different way and became Falling For Truth.
Currently he has been researching historical topics such as the Cathars and Knights Templar, to World Expositions of the 1800's looking for clues to help explain the nature of standard reality, and how and why this may have shifted over time.

To read only if one of your theories about this world is that this life is like the movie matrix and you are exploring theories about the after death. Which I am. Some things seem plausible to me, others not as much - but why not? Loved the part about NDEs which is a subject I've been interested in for many years. Also interested by the mentions of several religious groups which were wiped out by Christian powers - something to research on for sure. Oh and I also got some great movie & tv-shows recommendations from this book.

One of the best books to read if you are exploring the after-death matrix. Full of references and links to other researcher's work.

Absolute crap. Zero empirical or rational evidence provided to support what is, by all accounts, a wild theory. As a very open-minded scientist, I'm willing to consider any new theory with sufficient evidence (and my threshold for that is significantly lower than for others in academia). He provided little outside speculation, insane logical leaps and drawing correlated/causal conclusions from only barely related legitimate evidence.

The author is clearly a depressed nihilist with little if any formal training that would have taught him the importance of rigor in research.

Also, a professional editor was desperately needed and regrettably not utilized.

I regret reading this book... Not because it was terrifying but because it was a colossal waste of my time aside from the laughs I got while reading it.

What an incredible book! I can't wait for the second book (Book 2).

I completely agree with the idea that when we pray, we become prey. It’s not hard to conclude that 'this world is a madhouse.' I also share the sentiment that Earth can’t possibly be a school—if it were, who are the teachers? These so-called 'leaders'? I don’t think so!

Lastly, I believe that exiting the cave may be easier than we think. If we are more powerful than the Archons (Yaldabaoth and his team), then simply saying 'NO' carries far more weight than we realize.
