B.A. Stretke is a Gay Romance and fiction author who publishes through Dreamspinner Press, LLC, and Amazon.com
B.A Stretke began writing as a hobby. He read his first Jane Austen novel as a teen and was instantly hooked. The age-old dream of being a novelist took hold. Now long into adulthood, and a few years as an editor under his belt, B.A. is a full-time writer. B.A. spends his days reading, engaging in sarcasm, and plotting the next storyline, often leaving little headspace for much else. He loves hiking through the Northern Michigan woods he calls home, often finding inspiration for his books. Writing and finding that perfect cup of coffee occupy the rest of his time.
B.A. Stretke lives in Northern Michigan with one royally spoiled cat and his dear friends and family.
This book had a note on Amazon for several weeks that the publisher was notified to correct numerous grammatical errors. I just purchased it yesterday, and the warning was no longer present. However, numerous grammatical errors were.
I've also begun noticing that authors associated with Dreamspinner press that I really like, such as B.A. are all becoming more formulaic in their work. They seem to be ruthlessly kept to novella length, publishing has gone from 2 to 3 books a year to 1 every 6 to 8 weeks, and grammatical errors have become common for all of them.
I have a feeling that many of the recent problems are not the fault of the authors but rather the publisher.
I felt that Mr. Stretke is regaining his stride with this book. I liked both Chris and Eli. They actually respected each other and consent was given more than lip service by Eli.
It was a bit sad that neither the Pack, nor the Clan, was able to prevent the property loss before dealing with the idiots in the pack, but it brought the two groups together.
Chris, a young wolf is in trouble being held captive by a cougar shifter. As a favor for an older wolf, Eli, a bear shifter rescues Chris and discovers they are mates. While they are happy parental problems cause real danger for the young couple. We do get an HEA and an enjoyable read. Highly recommended.
Another winner for me. I appreciate adding the bear clan to the pack. Eli and Chris are perfect for each other and the story kept my attention. Recommend reading.
