John G. Butler’s BIBLE BIOGRAPHIES help us gain wisdom into matters of faith, godly conduct, and Christian service. From the experiences of Bible characters can be learned many helpful lessons in matters of faith, godly conduct, and Christian service. God has provided their stories as examples to us. The Lord could have given the Bible in the form of a rule book only. But instead He wisely included in the Scriptures stories of people—folks like you and me to whom we can easily relate. The BIBLE BIOGRAPHY SERIES from John G. Butler is a study of twenty-seven striking figures in biblical history whose lives provide us with much important truth for every person, age, and culture. JOHN G. BUTLER has been in ministry for over fifty years. He was born and raised in a small farming community in north central Iowa. He attended both Tennessee Temple University and Cedarville University. Butler served as a pastor for over 35 years with congregations in Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, and Iowa. He is a veteran of the United States Navy. He is the author of the 27-volume Bible Biography Series, the 10-volume Study of the Savior Series, and the Analytical Bible Expositor, a 14-volume commentary set covering the entire Bible. The author was married to his wife for over 40 years (he is now a widower), has three children and five grandchildren.
