Heat, Affairs, and Scoundrels! After a few weeks of settling into her routine post-incarceration Kaylee’s moving beyond her Atlanta life. Of course, she’s still conflicted about recent events, and one would say traumatized as well. Two surprise students enroll for the semester. Two seekers, one is Thanos and the other a young seeker from another Oligarchy family. Kaylee is constantly confronted with her past as she attempts to move into a new life. She’s living her best self, only to have Thanos-interruptus on the regular. Horrible murders begin and the butchery will send Kaylee into a new mental spiral. She will have to listen to the “devil” perched on her shoulder, if she wishes to succeed in taking out the monster behind the campus-wide massacre. Nothing’s as it seems. With her worst fears coming to life before her eyes Kaylee must reach deep into her training to combat the young Oligarchy members seeking to deny her freedom. Sexy new affairs and deadly foes scorch the pages!

Aria Storm avidly believes in representing LGBTQIA+ people with valid heroes/ heroines, and plot which can be sizzling at times, but also has other aspects outside the queer sex. This author's entire adult life has been devoted to becoming a better storyteller, and to bring LGBTQIA+ characters to everyone. Most of the Aria Storm works have been Lesfic, but the author also publishes various other genres, and is about to expand even further in the near future.
Okay, so this book was better than the first, and I liked the first! Again, it was poorly edited. An error on nearly every page, but despite that I was able to enjoy it! If you didn't read the first one, start there. This isn't a stand alone novel. I'm still not sure why the author keeps naming these books in relation to college because there's barely anything college related in the books. The college is an occasional setting for brief scenes, but most of it has nothing to do with the college or college life.
This installment is fantastic. I cannot wait to see the next one. Tragedy hit very close to home which pushes Kaylee to revenge and hopefully also an ally. I look forward to the next installment.
Noticed this in the first, thought maybe it was one off, but this book has the same problem. Please proofread before publishing. So many mistypos. Otherwise, great series.
