May 3, 2025They Only Hear is the second book of the Summoned Beasts series. After finishing the first one, I knew I had to immediately dive into the next installment. This time, Radar takes us to the high seas, where a mysterious black goo is found in the storage area of the ship, which also happens to have sprung a leak that could be potentially serious. As if this isn’t enough to contend with, the appearance of several bizarre creatures on the ship leaves the crew fighting for their lives.
While both Summoned Beasts books are good, this one is my favorite. I loved the action on the ocean and the monsters were horrifying and incredibly brutal. There were ample amounts of tension and the ending was fantastic. This is a quick read that I highly recommend!
