In the crime-ravaged metropolis of Sundance City, a group of eight gifted individuals rise up to combat a growing danger that threatens to bring the city to its knees. The first installment in the Seekers of Truth saga, Confluence, describes the eight Seekers of Truth in their transformation from a band of amateur heroes to a single, unified team.
Nathaniel Hicklin is a maniacal hermit who writes stories in his writing cave near St. Paul. He spends his spare time rolling dice, going on adventures, and digging massive Minecraft holes.
A mysterious puppeteer is preparing to pull the strings that will change the world. Hidden in his underground lair, he uses ancient magic to locate and watch a group of individuals with very unique talents. He calls it a test but does he work for good or evil purposes? Who really knows?
The seekers of truth, eight young people from very different backgrounds, are thrown into a strange world that they never knew existed. A guy looking to increase his self esteem is given the ability to be more than he ever could have dreamed. His brother serves as his counterpart. An average Joe is told of a magical family legacy kept hidden and only revealed to those deserving. A couple of scientists working on top secret projects are surprised by rampaging robots.
Seekers of Truth has a solid science fiction plot with the action of a good graphic novel. I could almost picture the story on the big screen. The characters are all interesting in their own ways and bring something unique to the team.
