Now that Billie had her third food truck up and productive, it looked like nothing was gonna stop her. The manager, Dillon was pretty darn amazing too although a touch older than her existing managers. I loved that he was a veteran who mentored younger and sometimes troubled vets who were having some issues adjusting. He was so busy he knew he'd need a sous chef eventually, and the way he got one was pretty cool. Meanwhile after a murder, Asher went missing and Billie found herself more worried about him than she ever thought she'd be.
I had a sneaking suspicion about whodunit and thought the showdown was great! And the ending of course was good as always with everyone gathered for the explanation. Food and staff who're like family, what a great theme! I've already borrowed and started the next in series since book 5 isn't too far off. I'm assuming there'll be at least 12 of these since Billie owns 12 food trucks.
I love this series! This addition continues the series with a creative well written storyline. The mystery was engaging and the characters are all culinary former school students who each specialize in different types of food truck cuisine. You can start this series with this book but I recommend reading every one of them.
Great read, quick read. I'm enjoying this series with its quick adventure and mysteries. No dragging on for chapter after chapter. Enough detail is given so you arent left feeling like something was missing. Introducing new characters gives you mystery as to how they're going to fit in or if they are the mysteries culprit. I love the slow forthcoming details of everyone's past.
Billie is about to,launch the third food truck in her company. This one is a barbecue truck with a new manager. That night Billie is awakened by a dog at her door which leads her to a dead body. From there the story takes off with twists and turns and a surprise ending. A fun read.
There are more than one mysteries in this little book. At first I thought this was going to be a repeat of her first two books with a few new characters added but I soon learned it wasn’t. You will find both mysteries and romance but Billie still hasn’t driven on the bridge - lol.
A new friend soon becomes a dead friend. Billie’s friend is found dead on a boat near her waterfront house. She will find herself trying to find a killer in this new food truck cozy.
I loved this book. It is such a fun and interesting cozy mystery. I love this series. The characters are great. The mystery has many twists to keep you guessing. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.
