Decluttering by Faith

Rate this book
Decluttering by Faith is a 12-week devotional that explores what the Bible has to say about all of our stuff. Through this lens, we're able to look at our physical possessions more critically, realizing that they don't add the peace or security we're searching for.

I followed Dawn, The Minimal Mom, on Youtube and then became a member of her "Take Your House Back" Decluttering Course which took me all the way to decluttered. The key was to stop the inflow of things we did not need. I bought this book because I am constantly asked to help people and keep hitting the same road blocks with older, wealthy people of faith.
This book gave me ideas how to help them work through and recognize what made them afraid of losing control and letting go of things they didn't even want or buy. In all cases, they were taking things from others and even out of the church donation sale because they were "too good" to give to strangers.
Such a great and graceful way of looking at stuff.

While there were great tools presented in this book, I wish there was a tighter focus on actually decluttering vs. general motivation.
