This is such a dreamy and fun deck! Swirling hair, feathery wings, mermaid tails... If you love these things, these cards are for you. The characters within are diverse and creatively designed. My favorite cards are Death, Two of Coins, and the four Lovers. The box is sturdy with a slight rainbow holographic tint on the cover and a lovely pink ribbon tucked out to the side. The guidebook was well printed (bound not stapled) and looks like it will hold up to heavy use over time.
The cards are mostly based off Rider-Waite, but there's deviations here and there that may catch you off guard if you're not used to reading decks that wander off the beaten path. My only major complaint is that the color palette, while often consisting of soft pastels, also contains some harsh primary colors and some "bleh" choices such as murky browns. A few female characters suffer same-face syndrome as well, but personally this doesn't bother me.
This is a fanciful, charming deck to add to your collection. I recommend the Star Spinner Tarot to any reader that's 1) cute things only, 2) inherently fabulous, and 3) still a believer in fairy tales.
This is a lovely little deck and one that has found a place inside my ever-growing collection. The first thing you notice about this gem of a deck is how the colors draw you in. The color palette for this deck hooks you in such a subtle way that you bearly even notice it at first. It is gentle, flowing yet incredibly powerful. So too are the lovely images which are reimaginings of folklore and fairytale. The deck creator has not just created a diverse world but an inclusive one that makes the reader feel safe and secure. Although at a glance this deck looks cute, it packs a punch. We had a lot of fun playing with it on our Youtube channel, you can see our four Star Spinner class at bit.ly/unicorntv
This is a good Tarot, and provides a nice "window" for intuitive reading. I would only rate it a bit lower than 5 due to the flattened, pastel colors, but your mileage may vary.
I am not fond of the color palate but everything else is fine - I am able to read these very intuitively. The book itself is more traditional in meanings than I generally read but that does not hinder the reader if you are an intuitive type reader - the pictures and interactions of color and imagery provide a clear focus for insights. I may not find the palate to my taste but it works because the use of color does help tie the story of the reading together.
This will be a deck I will pick up again. It is not only collectible, it is practical and vice versa!
Stunningly gorgeous cards. The guidebooks has just enough for a beginner tarot reader and not too much to overwhelm. I love the intentionality in the small details and the color palettes of the cards. Trungles is so incredibly talented, I love his vision and inclusion of folklore and fairy tales in his work.
I absolutely love this deck, the concept and the Art. But I wish there was a guide included with all the tales in wich each card was inspired, of course there are several well known that I can identify at sight, but there are also several cards I have no idea what tale are they inspired on. I feel like there's a lot on meaning lost if you don't know all the tales.
This deck is BEAUTIFUL and the booklet has some deep, heavy hitting descriptions. My mom and I did a reading for eachother and we were both left in shock at how much the booklet dug in and called us out
Most of the trumps are gorgeous! I also appreciate the effort put towards inclusivity with options for VI: Lovers. Still, I find the pips are too uninspired and plain to read with.
