Famous actress and secret submissive Sheridan Stratford can’t wait to collect her Christmas gift from Mistress Nora—a two-hour session with the Big Brad Wolfe, one of New York’s top male dominants. But when she’s snowed in with Mr. Wolfe for the night, Sheridan is forced to reckon with the sacrifices she’s had to make for her career. She expected to get eaten by a wolf, not fall in love with one…
Reread as someone in the scene, and as someone who also writes romance: Yup! It's still good. Love Brad. He's the kind of Dom I'd want, if I had one. (But I do not because I am the Domme.)
--------
Of course I devoured this as quickly as possible. It was so good! LOADS of sexy consent and communication. And it's the Original Sinners, so it was bound to be entertaining. I wonder how long Tiffany can keep this up, though? We're now onto very minor characters and the timeline is crazy at this point hahaha. I'm not complaining, because I adored Sheridan and Brad. I loved how mature Brad was, and how healthy he is. Lots of new-to-me BDSM terms in this one, too. I learned something while reading this!
Gifted one night with the Big Bad Wolfe as a Christmas gift from Mistress Nora, Sheridan is surprised when after a few hours (that turns into a snowed-in sleepover) that she has a connection with Brad. But, weighing up the pros and cons of being in a longer-term relationship with someone in the kink world means other people finding out and she's not sure if she can commit to that or the potential blowback it has on her acting career.
I've read a lot of novellas in the Original Sinners world (just not any of the full-length novels yet) so I'm fairly used to the format and a lot of the side characters and Reisz' writing style. I enjoyed this for the internal conflict that Sheridan has to overcome to decide whether or not she wants the relationship more than her secrets and the way those discussions played out with other characters. I also appreciated seeing a Dom that is a dominant purely for the happiness of the submissives he works with. Oftentimes the power-dynamic can be a bit off-putting, but Brad was a delight.
CW/TW: Dominant/submissive relationship
Tropes: BDSM, Dom/sub, dungeon, hero falls first, snowed in, age gap, single dad
LOVED!!! I honestly wasn’t expecting to love this one as much as I did! Brad may be older—which doesn’t always mean more mature—but he was, and I absolutely adored that about him. I loved how he and Sheridan met when they were both vulnerable, yet waited until the timing was right for them.
The writing is so beautifully atmospheric, and it was such a treat seeing some of the Original Sinners make appearances!
I’m getting close to the end of this series, and I’m already sad to see it wrap up… xo
FAV QUOTE: “Why do we accept it’s normal to be traumatized for months or years after one bad event, but we can’t let people be, I don’t know, revitalized for months or years after one good one?” —Nora
I say this every year, but the release of the Original Sinners Christmas story is without a doubt my favourite time of year! The gift that keeps on giving. I completely fell in love with Brad Wolfe in this book, and I think it will make me enjoy his appearances in the rest of the series even more now when I do my annual re-reads. Dominating but so caring and sexy. Perfect man, right? It was great to see more of Sheridan as well, I’m so glad she finally got a great big slice of happiness.
Just for good measure, he’s a few of my fave quotes.

Sometimes in fairytales, the girl runs away from the wolf. Sometimes the girl lets him eat her.

“I have a sad-sack sub and a depressed dom under one roof. This Halloween party’s gonna be a blast. I better buy more alcohol.”

“I gotta tell you, if a little public humiliation is all it took to get Mick back, I’d let Justin Bieber peg me on the Today show.”
Sheridan finds her love!!!! I enjoyed this one. It was comforting and nice to read about so many beloved characters. Plus there is the usual snark and kink of Ms. Reisz.
This was perfect. When the days turn into the longest nights I find myself yearning for the company of Soren and his flock. This year was no different, and Brad and Sheridan are the fresh addition to the family I didn't know I needed. Brava!
I don't know how she does it every single time, but Tiffany Reisz manages to wring out every bit of love, lust, wishes, and tears from me no matter the length (heh) of the book. A Wolfe in Winter passes by in a blink but Sheridan and Brad are so easy to fall in love with. Having read all the other Original Sinners stories, I was already familiar with both, but in just a few hours, the veils have been lifted. I absolutely adore this series and each and every amazing character within the pages.
It's always terrific to visit with Tiffany Reisz's original sinners characters, and A Wolfe In Winter captures everything I love about this series. These are characters I always want to spend time with.
Actress Sheridan Stratford has a lot on her mind. She's worried about Mistress Nora's move to New Orleans and what that means, and she's also questioning how she is living her life. It's becoming clear that her career comes first over what she really feels and needs for herself. I really felt her anguish over these two things in just a few short pages.
Mistress Nora gifts her a session with Big Brad Wolfe, an accomplished male dominant. He's dealing with a heartache of his own, and in typical Nora fashion, she knows that Sheridan is just the person to help heal Brad's heart. I hadn't realized what a match maker Nora is until this story, and what she accomplishes here is very sweet (for Nora, lol!)
I loved this story. It's steamy, spicy and sweet at the same time, as Brad and Sheridan navigate a potential relationship. And is there any better ending than the main characters getting their HEA and what they truly want in life? Not for this reader. I loved this story. I'll probably read it again, just to visit with the Tiffany's sinners one more time.
Yes, I'm reading a Christmas novella in April. It took me this long to find any inkling of desire to read again. Reading slumps are the worst! Naturally, one of the first books I wanted to read voluntarily would be Tiffany Reisz. She's pure gold.
A Wolfe in Winter is Tiffany Reisz's 2022 Christmas novella set in the established world of her Original Sinners series. However, this little gift can be enjoyed all on its own. While reading, if you meet characters that strike your fancy, you're in luck because I can't even count how many books are linked to this series. It's a lot. A Wolfe in Winter features lesser known characters from the series, while letting the usual MC's enjoy cameo moments. About half of this novella is solid kink-themed erotica, while the other half focuses on the characters' journey. It's steamy, funny, and emotional. Although it was released for the Christmas holiday, readers do not need stockings on the wall to enjoy this. Christmas only serves as the reason why the two characters find one another in the first place and then is pretty much never mentioned again. Thanks for another great story, Tiffany!
For the past four or five years, I have made it a winter tradition to download and devour the Tiffany Reisz holiday short stories or novella length stories. This year’s novella sat on my nook for two or three weeks, until the morning after my “fizzy gin cocktails and Cheezits” New Year Eve celebration. I was lounging on the couch after finishing an emotional read for my alumni book club and had a hankering for a specific type of book, which turned out to be A Wolfe in Winter.
This novella was the story of an unknown Mistress Nora client and a tangential Mistress Nora peer told in three parts - Christmas, the following Halloween, the following Christmas. Only the most superficial knowledge of the Original Sinners universe was required to appreciate this story because these main characters were peripheral to that universe and their dialogue provided the appropriate exposition of the Original Sinners characters.
I think this may be my favorite of the winter stories. Although the story arc was a slow march to the inevitable happily ever after, it was done with such a balance of spice and tenderness that I didn’t mind the predictability. And I really liked the new characters and their development across the year.
I would recommend this both to readers who are immersed in the Original Sinners universe and want more of it and to any readers who want a quick dip into an erotic romance.
The Original Sinners Christmas Story always gets me in the feels!
Sheridan is gifted a visit with Big Brad Wolfe, thanks to her Mistress Nora. But we find out that Nora told Brad that Sheridan is his gift... Well what a thoughtful gift giver Nora is.
The Original Sinners were my first introduction into the world of kink, and I will never miss it when a new story is released.
These stories aren't just steamy hot but they are beautifully filled with consent, communication, love, friendship and deep connections most only dream about.
Holy HOTNESS what a epic love story, Sheridan and Brad have a two hour hook up thanks to Mistress Nora, both in need of some healing for very different reasons, is it a love match, only time will tell in the fall, thank you Tiffany Reisz for such a great short story, and the little hints of Griff and Michael, Nora and the gang, I recommend this series to anyone and everyone, thank you, Dana Zamora
It starts off with a bang (or two), during which was some excellent character building paired with some excellent smutty scenes. And then it kind of just drops off into character building/growth through the end of the story?
Not what I expected but what was there was pretty good. Might be worth noting I have not read the series this standalone novella is attached to, and while I don't think that hindered my reading experience, you may get more out of it (or know what to expect from it) if you have.
Love this story of Sheridan and Brad. It is a perfect tale to add to the other perfect tales in the Original Sinners series of books. Love how the old friends show up in the story and how Sheridan and Brad get their ending. Just brilliant.
Another beautiful addition to the Original Sinners world. I could read 20 books or stories in this series and never feel bored or like monotonous reading. Tiffany is brilliant at bringing new story lines without ever being repetitive or loosing the magic and allure to the characters. Beautiful work as always.
I loved the visit with all the same characters. The Halloween party was inspiring and, one word courage, to make happiness, your own, a priority. Think of that as the new year approaches. Find your bliss, even if the road is not smooth and someone gets the vapors! May 2023 be your year to exquisite happiness and cropping. Peace.
I'll keep reading these Christmas specials forever! The books in the Original Sinners world work best for me when they are about people accepting themselves and finding community. So it's three stars because the relationship was rushed but I did tear up reading about Sheridan deciding she can no longer hide who she is.
Familiar with The Original Sinners; i'm happy to finally read the final stories of Sheridan Stratford. Her character was in so many of the other stories, it's nice to know her ending. And that Brad, I've never seen a full picture of him, but his description ........WOW!
Brad and Sheridan are 2 of my favorites in this book world and the fact that they ended up on a kink date together is amazing. Loved every part of this book.
Argh! Not long enough... Sinners books never are; even the full length Novels! I devoured this and it left me wanting more. I always loved Brad's character and wished for more and this provided in all the right ways 🖤
What a wonderful way to spend time with beloved characters. How I wished for more Brad Wolfe all these years!! Thank you, Ms. Reisz, for your wit and understanding of passion and everlasting love. A cherished read.
I wouldn't mind a better edit. And I only read it for the Nora cameo. Wolfe and Sheridan are okay, but the novela was way too short and I read it for the kink. I'm always curious about the whereabouts of the Original Sinners cast. Especially Nora and Søren.
Absolutely amazing ! I'm never dissatisfied with Tiffany's writing. She captures the characters brilliantly and makes you feel part of the story. Loved have a little meet with the original crew, miss the lots.
I cannot say enough about how amazing Tiffany Reisz is. Every single story she writes is fantastic. Absolutely loved A Wolfe in Winter. Loved meeting new characters mixed in with all of the old favorites. Brad and Sheridan are fire 🔥
