Ruthless Wolf is a story of heartache, romance, vengeance and violence. Luke has vengeance on his mind when he meets Adeline but it doesn't take long for him to realize that she isn't his enemy.
Luke wants to make the pack that destroyed his pay. Adeline is a member of that pack. Luke has to decide whether love or vengeance holds more meaning to him.
Ruthless Wolf is an interesting story that held my attention but at the same time it was underwhelming. It's a quick read with a plot that progresses rapidly. I would have liked more time for both plot and relationship progression.
This book ends on a cliffhanger but I don't think I'll be reading the next book. I'm just not invested enough in the story or the characters to continue the story.

Loved the connection between Luke and Addy's, this is such a fun entertaining read, the characters are good, you Will hate most of Addy's family, their is tension and drama, with mystery and with that ending you’ll want more like I do.

Tala Moore has written a 5-star book. This is the story of Adeline and Luke. Luke has been looking for the High Ridge pack for the last 5 years. They are the ones who attacked and killed his pack. He thinks he has found his way in when he meets Adeline. They have a connection and end up spending the night together. The next morning, Adeline thinks that Luke has left but when she goes to leave, she is shocked to see Luke still there with her brother Lawrence in front of him. She prevents a fight between Luke and Lawrence and Luke gives her a dirty look before he leaves. She wonders what she did to deserve that look. She sends him a text message telling him she is sorry for her brother.
She tells him that she would like to make it up to him and she can get him and his grandmother front-row tickets to the Strawberry festival if he wants them. Things do not work out the way they plan and she has to leave early. They make plans to go out again and when Luke comes to pick her up, her brother Damian meets him with a gun to his neck. Lawrence is the one who stops Damian from hurting Luke. Things get a little heated at the movies for Adeline and Luke but end badly for Luke. He gets mad at Adeline and tells her he knows what her family had done. She had no clue what he is talking about and tells him so. He lets her know what her family has done and thinks she is in on it. She tells him she doesn't think her family would do something like that. She shifts and leaves Luke. Luke thinks that he has screwed up with Adeline and she won't have anything to do with him now. Later that night, she comes back to him and tells him she doesn't want to go home. She stays with Luke but leaves the next morning while he is still asleep. She goes home and hears her brothers talking and it is not good. She is caught by her father and she ends up being locked up. Luke hasn't heard from Adeline and he is worried about her. He goes to look for her but can't find her. He runs into her brother Lawrence and is told that she doesn't want to see him again. Luke gets help in looking for Adeline from a member of the Blood Born pack. When Luke rescues Adeline, she is weak from not eating. He takes her to a safe place for the time being but not for long. It is not long before her family is close to finding her. She and Luke decide to go to the Blood Born pack and tell them that her family is close to them. The Blood Born pack has told Luke that the High Wolf is coming and will be there soon. When Luke meets the High Wolf, things don't go well. The High Wolf tells him that Adeline has to leave since she is not a member of the pack.
What will happen between Adeline and Luke?
This book will leave you on a cliffhanger but I would still recommend this book.

Luke Holland is the lone survivor of the Black Diamond Pack after everyone was brutally slaughtered 5 years ago. He has been strategically planning his revenge by infiltrating the High Ridge Pack and holding them responsible. He sets his sights on the beautifully naive younger sister of the unhinged shifters who took everything from him. Adeline. She may be innocent to the egregious crimes her family has committed but she’s still the enemy.

Adeline is heavily sheltered and protected by her older brothers and father. She’s a good girl that is ignorant to the actions of her pack members. One night, she spots Luke at the Moonlit Bar, and acts boldly by approaching him for a one night stand. That’s all it was supposed to be — a rebellious act against her family and choosing something for herself. Too bad her heart was not meant for a one night stand or the brutal truth of Luke’s identity and her brother’s depravity.
Luke battles between vengeance and his heart softening for Adeline. He realizes fairly early on that she is simply an innocent pawn that shouldn’t pay for her families sins. Except he’s already lied to her, slept with her, and broke her heart with the truth. I loved Luke and Addy’s connection and was rooting for them from the beginning. My only complaint is that I do wish Luke had to grovel some after everything was revealed to Addy, but I’m thankful she believed him and didn’t fight too hard to protect her psycho family. The steam was yummy and it was refreshing for the explicit scenes to be more vanilla (since she was a virgin) and felt very realistic.
This book does end on a cliffhanger but it looks like book two will be released in the new year! Luke is going to have to make some very tough choices soon…

Decent start to the Black Diamond Alpha series but it was missing that Wow factor. Luke is the only survivor of the Black Diamond Pack after his pack was murdered five years ago. In his quest for revenge, he finds himself falling for the enemy.
Adeline has lived a sheltered life and was very naive at times. Unbeknownst to her she was a member of a deadly, ruthless Pack that went around slaughtering other neighboring Packs.
Luke and Adeline weren't that bright in my opinion. For one, he didn't even realize she was a virgin the first time he slept with her and for two; Adeline is a she-wolf, and she had no idea that Luke was an Alpha wolf. How? Luke has every reason to stay away from Adeline, but his wolf and body is giving him a million reasons to stay.
Tensions are high amongst packs that have been slaughtered by Adeline's family and once secrets and acts of betrayal come forth, she and Luke realizes that things aren't what they seem. Ugh Luke and Adeline are too stinking cute. Ruthless Wolf is the second book I’ve read by Tala Moore and I’m loving her characters. I’m usually not a fan of a clueless FMC but Adeline is so darn likable. And the spice is on point. This is the first book in the Black Diamond Alpha series and the cliffhanger will have you gasping! I’m still in shock.

This book got me out of my reading slump! It was a fast paced love at first site, enemies to lovers shifter novel. The main male character, Luke, had his whole family killed by the High Ridge shifter pack and now he’s out for revenge. He sets out to infiltrate the pack by hanging out at this bar, when Adeline, the female main character, catches his eye. They are instantly drawn to each other and he tries to fight his feelings. From there, things happen and Adeline ends up being abused by some people close to her and he has to breech enemy territory to save her, ie he risks it all. They finally accept their love for one another and decide to run away right as the High Ridge pack comes looking for them. It was a pretty good novel, however, I hated the huge cliffhanger at the end. I would have liked a little more resolve before ending the novel. Otherwise, the sexy scenes were quite detailed which was yummy.

An Engaging Story
Luke is out for revenge, he was there the night Adeline’s pack attacked and killed all his pack and family and he was the last survivor. When an opportunity arose to bed Adeline who was the daughter of the Alpha, he jumped at the chance. It helped that he was instantly attracted to her and his wolf wanted her but revenge was mainly in his mind.
Adeline had never had sex with anyone and when she first set eyes on Luke, she just knew he would be the one for her but Adeline didn’t realise who her real family were and to trust in Luke and what he told her would be a hard thing to bear when her own knowledge and views of her family were completely the opposite.
A great series starter full of passion, steam, betrayal, shocks it will keep you up all night reading.

Luke is at a pack meeting welcoming his brother who had rejected the pack a year before, back home. Then they are attacked and his brother tells him to run and don't look back. Take as many wolves with him to continue their legacy. Five years later he is at the bar that the pack who killed his own. There he meets Adeline. She is the soft spot that he will infiltrate this pack to take down. But he has an unexpected reaction to her. But he needs to get within this pack to get his revenge on her pack. Will he be able to do that? Will he figure out the connection that they feel to each other? Is she innocent or is she just playing a part??

Luke is a wolf shifter that is looking to avenge the death of his family, pack and mate. Addie is the innocent daughter of the rival clan that brought about the deaths of his pack and family. He plans payback in the form of revenge against them for the brutal killings but when Addie and Luke connect he starts to question what he should do. As Addie is an innocent with regards to these crimes it makes the decision harder. Will he get his revenge and/or will he and Addie become mates. There are twists and turns as well as a cliff hanger so you will have to read the story and subsequent series to find out.

Ruthless Wolf is the perfect first book to start this world.
Luke is a lone wolf with a specific mission and when he met Addy he never thought that one night he would change his life forever. Neither of them can deny the connection they have and the passion they feel between them, however, Luke breaks Addy's heart by telling her the truth, which incidentally made me suffer since Addy didn't have the slightest idea of the horrendous actions that his family had been doing.
I hated all of Addy's siblings and especially her father.
The tension in this story is palpable, as is the mystery surrounding the pack Luke joined.
I hope in the second book to learn a little more about the mythology of wolves.
And that ending, leaves you wanting to read the second book right away.

**Just a warning, not giving any spoilers, but there are some possible trigger scenes in this book, so if you cannot handle abuse or aggression, I would suggest you give this book a pass**
Pulled me in right from the start and I finished it in one night. Very heartrending and tragic series. Love Luke and Addy, but they definitely have a lot to overcome. Some characters I absolutely cannot stand and hope they get what they deserve in future installments. A few other characters, like Fena and Jake, that I hope to see more of as well. Pretty good blend of characters in my opinion. Can't always like everyone or it would be pretty boring. Looking forward to seeing what happens next.

Cliffhanger of an ending that I did not see coming at all. Adeline has been smothered by her brothers for years. She thinks she knows how bad they can be, but would not have really have a clue. Luke is after revenge for the slaughter of his lack and finds others in the same situation that have formed a new pack. He didn’t expect to find his mate as one of the enemy pack. Very strong chemistry between them. I like that there is an explanation given for the other wolves not being able to tell he is one too. I wish Jacqueline had been in the story a little more. I wish we had more explanation about the brothers, but hopefully we will get more of that in the next book.

Overall, I liked this book and I’m interested enough to read the second one.

Adeline is an innocent young woman that has lived a sheltered life. When she meets Luke at a bar she decides to do something for herself for once and spends the night with him. However, she didn't expect him to have a reason for being with her. Can she forgive him for his deception? Can they find a way to be together?
This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

A great start to a fast-paced shifter trilogy
If you enjoy shifter romances with fast paced action, drama and mystery this will not disappoint. A good "Romeo & Juliet" story between two rival packs, it is the start of a trilogy and ends on a cliff hanger.

Though they are drawn to each other for different reasons they can't deny the chemistry between them; but can they work round the secrets they both keep hidden?.

The concept of this story is great. Our MMC, Luke, is the sole survivor of his pack’s massacre. Several years later, he’s set to enact revenge, after figuring out what pack came to slaughter his family. Twist, it’s our FMC, Adeline’s pack.
So, while the concept is great, the plot does need a little bit of work to give the concept the suspense and wow factor it needs. It had suddenly detoured a couple times, without any real buildup to the twists. If events are hashed out a little more I really believe this book will be a really good one.
This book does end with a big twist of a cliffhanger.

I received this as an ARC for my honest opinion and I honestly loved it. I would definitely recommend that you read book. Luck and Adeline story is one of heartache, romance, vengeance and violence. Luck is seeking justice for his family who were brutally murdered by the High Ridge wolf pack, and Adeline is the alpha’s daughter and she is just trying to escape the overbearing control that her father and three brothers have on her life. When Luck and Adeline they are drawn to one another but can all of the secrets and drama keep them from each other or will love win out in the end. I guess that you have to read this book and find out.

Luke’s pack was celebrating his brother’s return to the pack but then the High Ridge pack and killed everyone but him as his brother told him to run, so Luke lived with a friend of the family still having nightmares about that night decided that the time came to avenge the slaughter. Luke saw Adeline the alpha’s daughter and take his revenge that way. Met another pack that consisted of people that had their packs destroyed by the High Ridge pack. Had to rescue Adeline from her family after she was chained up and the High Wolf was a surprise. Good book!.

This book had me from the very beginning. It starts out with heartbreak. Goes on to revenge. But the hardest thing to stomach is the Betrayal. For everything that Luke has went through and then to find his mate his one true love Adeline. Then for her to be betrayed by her brothers and her father. But the ending of the book The cliffhanger knocked the wind out of me. Clearly I'm not going to State what happened because I don't want to ruin it for everybody else. Let's just say I need the next book like ASAP.

This is a good enemies-to-lover story. Adeline is the daughter of the Alpha in the pack Luke has sworn vengeance on. Luke has every intention of using their connection to his advantage, but realizes there are some things more important then revenge. Adeline is a kind hearted shifter in a family of blood thirsty ones. She gets removed from one bad situation to be thrown into another. The story drags a little but once the secrets are revealed it all goes down at once. I feel like it could have used a little more relationship time before the big reveal but I also really enjoyed the story as a whole. This ends on a cliffhanger and I'm excited to see where it goes

Addie, he discovers, is the daughter of the leader of the pack that killed his family and destroyed his life. What should he do with this dilemma? Obviously you need to read the book to find, but I can tell you there's twists and turns, a hot and spicy romance, and a cliff hanger ending. So, of course, now I'm off to read the next in the series. Enjoy!.

The book seemed to drag on for me. It was well written but the kind of storytelling was not interesting for me. The fmc was to naive and the mmc was just annoying making it hard to form connections with either character. I skipped to the end so I guess it can be considered a DNF. There’s nothing really wrong with the book and it could be perfect for someone else but it just didn’t quite meet my expectations.

I loved the story but would have liked to see it more flushed out. I liked the characters but couldn't quite connect with them. The steamy scenes didn't flow well for me. Actions or words used that didn't mesh with the characters personality threw me out of the scene or had me rereading to verify that I had read it correctly. Over all this has great potential with maybe another edit run through and a couple more alpha or beta reads.

Adeline (Addy) knew that some of the men in her family were violent, but she doesn't really know what they might be capable of. Luke want to get revenge on those that wiped out his family, so he is going to resist the pull he feels towards Addy. Can Addy and Luke ignore their attraction? And is one of them doomed to be left broken hearted? I enjoyed this shifter romance, it had danger, drama and a very interesting story that kept me reading.

Ups & downs w/ a cliffhanger | Overall, I enjoyed this story. It had a fair amount of angst but found myself rooting that things would work out well in the end.
I liked the main characters in the story (her family, not so much, but I’m sure that’s intentional)
