Sienna Blake is used to chaos. As a well-known movie star, she thought she’d seen it all. But that was before she fell in love with Craig Simmons, a navy SEAL and member of the Saint Squad. The path to matrimony has been strewn with postponements and disruptions, but wedding bells are finally going to ring―until Craig disappears just ahead of the most important day of their lives, leaving Sienna to evaluate whether she’s really cut out for the uncertainty of life as a military wife. After a potential terrorist threat overseas leaves his wedding plans in ruins―again―Craig realizes he needs to make this wedding happen or lose Sienna forever. In short, he needs backup. With the enthusiastic help of his Saint Squad teammates, wedding plans are once more set in motion. But as the big day draws near, a startling discovery may mean a life-or-death situation for the Squad. The overseas threat looms much closer to home than they ever thought possible. Now it’s not just a quest to make it down the aisle―it’s a battle to survive.

This cleverly title refers to three different covert operations happening in the novel. First, Navy Seals are on an intelligence gathering mission in Honduras. Second, Senator James Whitmore is leading the polls in his run for President of the United States, but someone is targeting his potential cabinet members. Third, actress Sienna is trying to secretly marry Petty Officer Craig Simmons without blowing his identity as a Seal. Sienna and Craig first met and fell in love in Spotlight (Saint Squad #9) by the author.
This is the twelfth book in the Saint Squad series which the author began in 2008. The books are usually stories following an elite team of Navy Seals and often including a romance for one of the members. This adventure is a little different as the couple are already in love and are trying to quietly get married. The Senator and others around him are also part of this series and a connected series called Undercurrents. I’m a fan of the series and was happy to be back with the team. (I have lost tract a little of the pairings of spouses/team members to books.) I know I will get quick, page turning action from Abramson. Three storylines is almost too much for a shorter novel. A last minute election scandal gets resolved in an unrealistic quick timeframe.
As always these books are clean for language and intimacy. There is military action with the Seals but nothing graphic. Religion is a part of the Seals lives including praying, seeking inspiration and attending church. No specific denomination is mention. I absolutely loved be back with the Saint Squad and catching up with Craig and Sienna. Usually I’d say these books can be read as a stand alone but in this case if you want the romance beginnings I’d suggest pre-reading Spotlight. Thank you to NetGalley and Covenant Communications for the ARC in exchange for a review.
Are you ready for more Saint Squad???? I am!!! This book was such a fun ride and I didn't want it to end! I'm always pulled in from page one when reading Traci Hunter Abramson's books. I loved diving back in with this group of Navy SEALs. They're just a great big family. It's so fun to have them all showing up throughout the book and seeing their friendships and commitment to helping each other and protecting people.
Their mission this time is to get Craig safely home for his wedding to Sienna. But of course, it doesn't ever go easy for these guys. Thankfully they're great at navigating hard situations, national security issues, and helping friends get married. But poor Sienna is going to have to dig deep to decide if Craig's work and constant safety risk is what she's going to sign up for forever.
I loved seeing Sienna and Craig's continuing to work on strengthening and developing their relationship and love for each other. There are some hard moments but I loved seeing them decide what was important and their commitment to each other. You're going to love it all.
Bonus, you get to see Jay up a tree!!! ;-) If you know, you know! Hahahaha!!!
Content: Clean. Some moments of peril and suspense. Some fighting and use of guns but nothing overly graphic. Some kisses but nothing further. Clean language.
I received a copy from the publisher, Covenant Communications, via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions in the review are my own.
Actually withdrawal would be a better way to put how I felt closing this book. It was that good.
I know I am going to be reading this again. It isn't even a question. And when the audio comes out? Done. I'm all for it.
Craig and Sienna are trying so hard to get to the altar and start their forever, but will they get there? Between keeping their wedding and marriage a secret as well as the Navy keeping Craig out on missions, they have had to postpone multiple times. After heartbreak, it seems like it may not be, especially after a mission starts off wrong. All of this while trying to get to the bottom of why Jim Whitmore's future cabinet members are being targeted prior to election day creates much stress and danger at home, and abroad.
I loved the theme of friendship, prayer, and having faith in revelation received. It is something that is so needed in today's world.
The Saint Squad is hilarious as always. Something that Traci has always been able to achieve in her series is a distinct voice for each member. It hasn't altered one bit. I don't always see that in series that feature other MCs in the preceding books. But when you get to know a character of Traci's, they don't change their voice. It makes reading every book in the series feel like coming home.
You will need to pick this one up- especially if you have read all her other books in this series. It was a great way to make connections to other characters in this world Traci has masterfully created.
This was a 5 Star book for me, and one of my top reads for the year. I can't wait for more!!!!
If you have not heard of the Saint Squad you might need to crawl out from under that rock. I mean watch for terrorists first, but find yourself a gorgeous SEAL and you should be good to go.
This all started with the book Freefall. Should you read it? Absolutely! Is it necessary to read before this one? I don’t think so. Of course, I think all of these people are real and we’re old friends so I might be prejudiced. But you really need to know the Saint Squad!!
Sienna is a famous actress and is secretly engaged to Craig who is a SEAL. Their wedding seems unattainable and Sienna struggles with an unknown future. I mean terrorists, surprise missions, betrayals, production deadlines, and supporting Whitmore’s campaign for presidency? Yeah. No big.
It reads fast because ain’t nobody want to wait to find out what happens. And we see all our favorite people pop in. I’ll say it again… This author could write a book about weeds and I’d want to read it. A book about SEALS who are completely lovable in every swoony heroic way? Friendships that stick and a brotherhood that comes from having each other’s backs? Awwww yeah.
Vote Whitmore for President. He is the man. Fall in love with the Saint Squad and be their newest fan!
I received an ARC of this book but a positive review was not required. Clearly I have my very own opinions. 😂
I love the Saint Squad books. It’s like visiting old friends. Well, old friends that are tough and kick some serious butt. I look forward to the action scene and the camaraderie they share as a team. Each of the men and women care deeply about each other, all while protecting lives with their dangerous jobs. I love Jim and Katherine and that they are in both series of books. This book was especially exciting with the presidential election looming and Craig and Sienna’s wedding. I stayed up way past my bedtime thinking, just one more chapter, one more page until I was done. The chapters are perfectly executed to keep you wanting more. Covert Ops is the perfect thrill ride. I received an ebook from the publisher. All views and opinions expressed are my own.
I've read all of the books in the Saint Squad series, beginning with the first book Undercurrents. Covert Ops is filled with a lot of characters from past books.
Sienna Blake is used to being in the spotlight with a career in television. With her impending marriage, she is hoping to stay out of the limelight. Her fiance is a member of the Saint Squad and a Navy Seal and needs to remain anonymous. Sienna and Craig have had to call off their wedding several times. With things heating up out of the country, Craig is on missions to stop potential threats. In the middle of it all, Senetor Whitmore is on the campaign trail, trying to finish before the presidential election, and hoping to win. It seems like a never-ending process, and things happen to get in the way. This book was action-packed, and I really enjoyed it.
The Saint Squad is one of my favorite groups of fictional people.
Sienna Blake is a well-known actress and has been postponing her engaging to Navy SEAL, Craig Simmons, forever and a day. Through chaos, dangerous situations, and a huge presidential election, this couple is bound and determined to finally tie the knot. Obstacles abound and true feelings are questioned.
I love Abramson's writing style and the way different elements are brought to this series. The almost intimidatingly strong loyalty and friendships are so heartwarming and encouraging, especially through the trials, but it's the ebb and flow that really engages me. There are moments of heart stopping intensity mingled with calm moments of romance and brotherhood.
I loved revisiting these characters and catching up on their lives. I loved the introspection and swoon. This is a story that captures it all!
Content: mild+ moments of danger/peril; mild religion; mild romance
'She was tired of doubting, tired of waiting, and she was ready to grab her future with both hands.'
Saint Squad fans I hope you're ready for book 12 in this series! I have followed this series since the beginning and I will happily follow it for as many books as we can get. This squad team has become more real than fiction after spending hundreds of pages reading their squad member's stories. I have loved how each story builds off of the prior books and that we get to see the characters overlap. The Saint Squad wives were a particular favorite for me in this book. I loved seeing that they rallied together in their own way just like their husbands.
I was obviously thrilled to have more of Senator Whitmore! If you have read about Senator Whitmore in this series or the Ghost series you have a big admiration for this man! What I wouldn't give for a real life politician like him.
"All of us experience trials in life, but together, we can overcome anything. We can overcome all."..."I can't promise a miracle solution to our problems, but I believe in this country, and I have faith in our future."..."I have faith in America."
If you love political intrigue and political suspense you'll definitely want to grab this book. If you love suspense of any kind, you'll definitely want to grab this book. If you love your suspense with a side of wholesome romance, you'll definitely want to grab this book!
I am a HUGE, HUGE fan of this author and series. I'm excited to be adding another one of her books to my shelves. Highly recommend!
Thanks to the author and publisher for the copy. All thoughts in this review are my own.
Content/Triggers: Military situations with mild violence/action/suspense. Political suspense. Kissing.
It's always good to be back with the Saint Squad. They are a great military team that have each other's backs in all areas of life. It was fun to see all the gang together (crossover characters too!) and Senator Whitmore's campaign come to an end. This book had a bit of action, a bit of intrigue and a bit of love.
Interesting to revisit main characters from a prior Saint Squad book. There were some very gripping parts but also some eye roll moments. The squad’s obsession with food was a little over the top. I didn’t like this as well as some but it was still worth the read.
A wonderful, engaging read This book brings together many characters you have come to care about or soon will care about. It starts out introducing the main players and subplots in the story and then weaves them together in each succeeding chapter, while the suspense builds. Sienna, a movie and now television star, and Craig, a Navy SEAL, want to marry but they must keep it private to protect Craig and allow them any privacy. Unfortunately, so far, they had to postpone the wedding four times because of missions, parent issues, and the paparazzi. Now with the help of Senator Whitmore, a Presidential candidate, and the wives from the members of the SEAL team the ceremony is scheduled for election day at the same location as the Whitmore day party thus allowing people to arrive without drawing suspicion. But before that can happen they must deal with a renegade drug lord looking to expand into arms, a leak in the SEAL command office, someone trying to stop future cabinet members from being able to take their posts, unexpected critical missions, and parents who can’t keep a secret. A great read you’ll really enjoy. Please note that even though this is part of a series, this book can be read as a standalone. Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for the copy. This is my review and all thoughts are my own.
I love the Saint Squad books. This is Craig and Sienna's story. Craig and Sienna have had to postpone their wedding four times because of family or Craig's job with the Navy Seals. They are really hoping the fifth time's the charm. But with dangerous missions, making sure the paparazzi doesn't link Craig and Sienna and helping Jim Whitmore win the election for President of the United States it is going to take a few miracles. I loved this book it is action packed and thrilling the whole way through. I would definitely recommend this book and this series.
4.5 stars Wow! Another winner by Abramson. Covert Ops is the 12th book in Traci Hunter Abramson’s Saint Squad series. Abramson’s books are always enjoyable and I was really excited to get to read this one! The Saint Squad is back with another exciting adventure. I loved reading about these characters again. I do need to read the other books because I am missing a bit of the backstory between the characters, but it was still good. The Saint Squad had the greatest chemistry and it was fun to read about them interacting. I was on the edge of my seat as they worked together to complete their mission and keep others safe. I felt so bad for Craig and Sienna, they were trying so hard to make their wedding happen. However it was sweet to read about them trying to work through the obstacles that kept on popping up and fighting for their future together. Sienna and Craig were just wonderful characters and I was cheering them on. The plot was engaging. I did not know how Sienna and Craig were going to figure out their wedding plans or how the Saint Squad was going to complete their missions. I also loved seeing the Whitmores and Jim’s campaign for President. Covert Ops is a fun book. The characters are compelling and the story draws you in. I feel as if it had the perfect blend of suspense, romance, and action. I would recommend reading it as part of the series though because it would be more enjoyable. Covert Ops is a must read. It is a clean romantic suspense novel.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the publisher through Netgalley. All views expressed are only my honest opinion, a positive review was not required.
Abramson once again delivers a well-written, impossible to set down Saint Squad story. Familiar characters from some of her previous books make strong appearances, though it isn't necessary to have read the previous books. It adds to the fun though.
This book made me laugh and cry! I didn’t want it to end! There was just enough suspense to get my heart racing but not so much I was in a panic. There’s no waiting around in this book. It’s fast paced and action packed. I loved it beginning to end! I love how the Saint Squad family just keeps growing. We get little bits of everyone in each story. I love how they’re all connected. This story focuses mostly on Craig and Sienna. After several fail attempts for a wedding emotions are running high and it feels like time is running out. At the same time Jim Whitmore is in the final trenches of his presidential campaign and that isn’t without its own troubles. Because of how well the whole series is tied together it all feels personal. We’ve been on these journeys with them and experienced the joys and heartaches. There’s always a little bit of fear that this is the end or our beloved characters won’t get their happily ever after. This story didn’t disappoint on any of the fronts and I can’t wait to read it again!
My rating 3.5 Another book (and last to date) in the Saint Squad series. I'm still enjoying, but maybe ready for a change soon, which is good since this is the last one in the series to be published so far (as of 2023).

Cover Ops is a continuation of the Saint Squad series and features Craig Simmons and Sienna Blake. They are trying to covertly plan their wedding, but obstacle after obstacle keeps them from the altar—and might tear them apart forever.
There is a lot going on in this book. Craig is on a secret mission with his team to stop a drug lord from expanding into arms dealing, Senator Whitmore is running for president while dealing with threats to his possible future cabinet picks, and Sienna is swamped with all the problems planning her upcoming secret wedding while she figures out if she can really be a navy wife. Whew! There is never a dull moment in any of the chapters. Readers who have read all the previous books in the series will enjoy seeing couples and characters reuniting on the page and a peek into their current lives. Readers who haven’t read the previous books can still read this one standalone, but may get a little lost with some of the backstories and inside jokes. (But that is a wonderful excuse to pick them all up!)
I love the Saint Squad series. It has been my favorite for several years now. The many characters in this series have become like family. As a reader, I've been totally invested in each Navy Seal member and their love interest and families. I've also loved the character of Senator Jim Whitmore and his wife Katherine. The Presidential election is in full swing in this book. It was exciting to read until the final results were announced.
In this book, Craig and Sienna are in the spotlight as they are counting down the days until their wedding. Problems keep coming up stopping them from having their happily ever after. There is a lot going on in Covert Ops. The Saint Squad have some very harrowing missions where I was holding my breath until they were back on the ship. The uncertainty is hard on Sienna making her question her relationship with Craig. Meanwhile, Senator Whitmore is having problems pulling together people to fill his cabinet in case he wins the presidency. There are also many scary things happening behind the scenes to stop Jim in his tracks in his campaign. This book is not one you'd call a "relaxing" book. I felt very stressed and on my toes regardless of who I was reading about, the Navy Seals, Jim Whitmore, or Sienna the actress being followed by the paparazzi.
As I always say when it comes to books in a series, yes, you could read this as a stand-alone but why do that? Reading the previous books will make your experience more fulfilling and rich because you will already be so invested in the characters. Covert Ops is a thriller full of suspense, intrigue, action, and romance. I highly recommend this series and this author. Traci Hunter Abramson is a master at writing this genre. Covert Ops is easily another 5-star book in this series.
“Sienna and Craig’s wedding is just around the corner—but with a looming terrorist threat, the quest to make it down the aisle has just turned into a battle to survive.”
I thoroughly enjoyed this Saint Squad book! I loved finding out more about Senator Whitmore’s presidential campaign, as well as seeing Craig and Sienna’s story play out. And I think I picked up something about Amy, but I’ll have to wait for the next book in this series to see if my hunch is correct. It was fun to see some characters from other books show up in this one. I feel like I know Traci’s characters, so when ones from other books show up, it’s like an old friend came to visit. I’m sure I can’t be the only one who gets attached to fictional characters! The only thing I didn’t like about this book is that things seemed to get resolved a little too quickly, but that didn’t take away much from me enjoying this book, and maybe more details will come in the next one.
All in all, this is one of my favorite series and authors! Traci writes suspense and romance so well! I’m already looking forward to her next book!
I received an advanced copy from the author and Covenant Communications for the advanced copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I love Traci Hunter Abramson’s stories! With each Saint Squad book, I’ve become even more attached to the characters. With terrorist threats, a Presidential election looming, and a famous movie star trying to keep her wedding secret, there’s a lot of action, suspense, and romance right off the bat. I also enjoyed the thread of faith which runs through the entire series.
I absolutely love Jim & Katherine Whitmore! If only presidential candidates were as good as he is, I’d vote for him in a heartbeat. While he’s campaigning for President, his opponent will stop at nothing to try to discredit him. He also has to deal with a potential threat against himself and his future cabinet members.
Then there’s Sienna and Craig. Sienna Blake is a famous movie star trying to keep her upcoming wedding to elite Navy Seal Craig Simmons a secret. Because of her high profile and his need to keep his identity under wraps, they’ve gone to great lengths to make their wedding happen as quietly as possible. After several postponements, they’re hoping they’ll finally be able to pull it off. At the last minute Craig is called to duty when a terrorist threat causes yet another postponement. As doubts begin to set in, Sienna has to decide if she has what it takes to be the wife of a member of the Saint Squad team.
I loved the action, humor, romance and tight knit plot. Each story intertwines with the other and I enjoyed how they were interconnected. The suspense kept me quickly turning the pages and the swoony romance made me want to slow down and savor each moment. I loved the Saint Squad wives. These strong women make a huge difference while their husbands are off fighting to protect the U.S. and our freedoms. They provide a lot of support for each other and Sienna.
I both read and listened to the audiobook version. The narrator is perfect for this type of action packed book with so many characters. She did a great job differentiating between them all.
It’s a fast-paced, quick, faith filled read that will leave you wanting even more. It’s a must read for Saint Squad fans, but also highly recommend to lovers of romantic suspense, and action/adventure books. While it can be read as a standalone, as the 12th in the series, it’s more enjoyable if you’ve read the previous books. Thanks to the author and publisher for the advanced complimentary copy. I also purchased the audiobook version. All opinions are completely my own and voluntarily given.
Brief: Navy Seal Craig and his movie star fiancée Sienna have been trying to get married for a over year. But with his work so top secret and her career so in the spotlight, complications for making it to the altar have delayed it. When their wedding is delayed a third time for a leak that the famous Sienna might be getting married to her unnamed Navy beau, Craig follows his team on a mission that doesn't go as planned. Sienna is left to deal with the reprecussions and wonders what kind of future she really wants. Can they make it to a happily ever after or are their careers just too mismatched?
Jim Whitmore is on the final stretch of his presidential campaign. There's no dirt for his opponent to dig up, but it feels like they're still scheming. Then things begin happening to members of his potential cabinet. Can he actually achieve his dream of being the next president of the United States, or will conspiring forces steal the win out from under him?
POV: third person, multiple
Spiciness: none
Language: none
Tropes: postponed wedding, traitor among us, high-stakes covert missions,
Genre: contemporary action and romance
Potential hot topics: hero finds himself in very dangerous situations for his job; people getting killed or nearly killed; slander; fear of loss of loved one; traitors on US soil

Extended review: Traci Hunter Abramson has done it again. I love these characters and it was nice to have another book that continues the stories that were already begun. I'm a huge fan of long-term longing and now that Craig and Sienna have been trying to get together for a while now, I got a decent taste of it. It also delved more into the life of a navy wife and how uncertain that can be, which I'd been wondering how all our heroines deal with it. I also love the connections to other books, especially a cameo from the Guardians' series. 😉 I loved this book! I definitely recommend it!
I've loved the Saint Squad books before I really knew who Traci Hunter Abramson was. Now she's one of my favorite suspense/romantic suspense authors and the Saint Squad is one of my favorite series. This book did not disappoint!! There were many ops (shorthand for operations) going on. Craig and Sienna's wedding, Senator Whitmore's presidental campaign and of course the Saint Squad always has at least one mission.
Poor Sierra, she just wanted to get married to the man she loves but as luck would have it even something planned with military precision can have something go wrong. I loved how the spouses of the squad took Sierra into their circle and helped her cope with the uncertainty that comes when your spouse is a Navy SEAL. I also loved how everyone was determined to help Craig and Sierra pull off their wedding after it had to be rescheduled several times.
The suspense in the Saint Squad missions is tempered with their wonderful senses of humor. After all these years they still fight over food, especially cinnamon rolls and cookies, Jay still ends up in a tree (IYKYK), but they love their families and would do anything for each other. Getting to see Katherine and Jim Whitmore so much in this book was delightful! Too bad they're not real people because I'd definitely vote for him if he were on the next presidental ballot!
As happens far too often I was so excited to start this book I began reading it at night (I know, I know) and read it every chance I got. My only complaint with this one is it still ended way too soon. If you like clean suspense or clean romantic suspense I HIGHLY recommend this book.
I received a complimentary ebook from the publisher but I also bought paperback and digital copies for my personal library. All thoughts and opinions in this review are my own.
Covert Ops is such a fabulous addition to the series and honestly, I binge read the entire thing because within just a few pages of starting this book, I felt like I was coming home. These characters honestly feel so real to me and I am 100% invested in their stories.
Craig and Sienna are attempting, once again, to get married. Not an easy feat when the bride is a famous actress and the groom is part of an elite squad of Navy seals who needs to stay anonymous. Add to that a terrorist threat overseas and a presidential election for Senator Whitmore and the Saint Squad has their hands full keeping everyone safe and making sure Craig and Sienna finally tie the knot.
What I Loved: Engaging characters - you cannot help but love the Saint Squad!! Suspense and mystery Action scenes Sweet romance So much humor and wit Compelling, fast-paced plot
In the end, this series isn't really about a squad of Navy Seals. It's about friendship, family, and faith. it's about sacrifice and patriotism and love. The themes are always weaved into the storyline with such endearing characters and it is the perfect blend. Let me tell you, if you enjoy romantic suspense, this series is an absolute must-read. Trust me!
I know, I know. 12 books. But I promise once you read the first one you will be hooked and you will wish there was more than that, lol, and I highly recommend you read them in order. This series is an absolute all-time fave of mine - let's just say that they don't gather any dust on my shelf.
5 stars and am hoping we get the next book soon cause I am not patient enough to wait very long!
I received a complimentary copy of the book but a positive review was not required.
WHAT IT'S ABOUT Sienna Blake is used to chaos.
MY TAKE This was another great installment in the Saint Squad series, and it was fun to get to see so many characters from other books and find out how people are doing now.
There's so much going on in the story. Saint Squad missions. Craig's future marriage to Sienna in peril. Senator Whitmore's final days in the presidential run and iffy things happening there. As always, Abramson does a wonderful job of giving us a peek at what life might be life for Seals and the sacrifices they--and their loved ones--have to make. Wonderful and swoony conclusion!
Another great Saint Squad suspense/romance from Traci Hunter Abramson. Sienna Blake and Craig from the Saint Squad are trying to get married, but they need to keep their relationship a secret from everyone so that Craig can continue his covert work as a Navy SEAL. Because Sienna is a famous actress and the press and paparazzi try to follow her everywhere, they have a difficult time. Craig and his fellow SEALs are also involved in very dangerous missions, and Sienna is wondering if she can stand the stress of not knowing when--or if--her husband-to-be will return safely in her daily life as a military spouse. Abramson keeps the suspense going, although the two obstacles to the marriage are visited repeatedly and because they are the same issues, it is a tiny drag on the plot. Meanwhile, Senator James Whitmore is running for president and is facing some obstacles of his own, although the story never explains whether the person who is behind the events that undermine his chances to win the election is part of a larger scheme or not--unusual for Abramson, especially as earlier books (especially in the Guardian series) have shown who and why there are people who don't want him to be president--are these the same foes? Despite my quibbles, the book is well-written and the author tells the story well. I always look forward to reading Abramson's books; they are an "automatic buy" in my reading life.
From the moment I picked up my first book by Traci Hunter Abramson, I have been officially obsessed with her incredible romantic suspense novels. Each story is so well-written with believable and intriguing plots, characters that feel like family, and such a great balance of heart, humor, and action, they are impossible to put down. Having been along for the ride with the Saint Squad and Whitmore family for years, Covert Ops is like a love letter to the fans of her series. Everything that has been building with Jim's presidential campaign and all the obstacles facing the wedding of Craig and Sienna culminate in one epic story I am completely over the moon about. I loved the suspense, the moments I held my breath- there were tears, there were smiles, and there was happily ever after. I completely and fully recommend this book! Because this is the twelfth book in the Saint Squad series, I do recommend having read the other books previously to get the full impact of the events occurring in the story. It works as a standalone in ways, but I would definitely recommend starting with at least Freefall and having read Spotlight before this story. I've already read this book a couple of times and know that I will be rereading my favorite parts over and over again it’s just that good. I received an advance reader copy of this novel. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
There is a reason that Traci Hunter Abramson and the Saint Squad Series are must reads for me- they are SO GOOD! Covert Ops is definitely a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read!
All Craig and Sienna want is to get married. A Navy SEAL and famous actress have all the skills necessary to find their happily ever after. After multiple false starts, it has to work this time, right?
It seems that national security, the famous Sterling Blake (one of Hollywood’s elite and Sienna’s father), and Senator Whitmore’s presidential campaign are conspiring against it.
This book is full of mystery, suspense, faith, laughs, and love!
Being a history teacher, governerd, and lover of all things military, this book hit all the right notes. The experience and sequence of the election trail and SEAL missions were spot on! Nothing is more distracting than inaccuracies that take the reader out of the story - this one didn’t have any!
Traci has the uncanny ability to welcome any reader into the intelligence and military world and make them feel right at home without taking away from the story. The writing is masterful!

🔱 I started this series in the middle a couple of years ago, and quickly read the entire thing — I am that person who immediately bought the entire series because I loved the book I started with that much (Lockdown).
🔱 Being apart of this ARC team was so amazing. I am so happy I got to read it early because I would not have been able to wait!
🔱 I loved how many characters made an appearance in this book, and all the scenes with Jay going into a tree. 😂
🔱 I loved how realistic the wedding planning went and the campaign trail. It was nice to have a look into Craig and Sienna’s struggles. It was also nice seeing how they overcame all the outside factors. . . Overall Impressions:
