It was super good and had a lot of drama in it. I loved it because it had a lot of other animals in it like an alligator! It was also super funny and hilarious because at the end the main character was given a suit that allowed her to fly and climb walls!! 😂😂😂😂
I loved this book. It’s fantastic, well written and heartwarming. The characters are brilliant. Imogen is a head strong animal lover and Vetman is just the hero you need. The Man With No Name is vial and so cruel, there are definite trigger warnings for animal cruelty. It’s so upsetting at times but you know that Vetman and the gang are there to help.
I only cried twice during this read, and one of those was at the author's note at the back. That's allowed, isn't it?
This is a fantastic, touching, heartwarming story that I imagine was a great deal of wish fulfillment by Noel. He does a great job at showing the toughest part of any vet's job and averting it beautifully with what's basically magic.
There's also an amazing look at grieving from both Imogen and the Man With No Name (Spoiler: I was expecting it to turn out that Vetman was somehow the father, but if that's going to happen it hasn't yet. Perhaps in another volume of the series.) I love that no one told Imogen she was being silly or she needed to get over it; they gave her space and let her work things out in her own time.
Also, Pirate. Best dog.
This is a fantastic read. Parents with very sensitive children may want to preread to make sure it'll be ok, but I'm confident that children will love this. Who wouldn't want a hedgehog with springs for legs or an elephant with a hoover for a trunk?
Absolutely adored the illustrations; they were exactly the right mix of funny and real life and added immensely to the story.
Really great read and I can't wait for more in the series.
(Note; my Kindle version had a few sections where lines were mixed up, but I think that was because of the layout of the pictures. Hopefully it will be corrected by the time the official release comes out.)
This book was found at Alnwick Castle by my 8 year old, a lovely book fairy that had left it behind for her to find.

That being said, I like to read books that my daughter will eventually read, and usually, I enjoy them, this one was the exception. It felt sluggish and took me quite some time to actually finish because the story just wasn't that gripping. When it eventually did develop into something a little more interesting, it got DARK quite quickly. I really appreciated the message the author was trying to convey, but I feel like in order to do so, they left out actually answering so many of their own plot points. All in all this book left me wanting, but I honestly don't think I'd bother reading anything else by the author, even if it did answer the multitude of questions they left unanswered in this installment.
Is the nothing that Professor Noel Fitzpatrick can not do, genius surgeon, tv personality biographer and now children’s author, This new novel has been in Noel’s head since he was a child, a new superhero vet who fixes injured animals in to bionic ones. We have a creepy grinch like nemesis and cute children trying to foil his plans. The only gripe I have with the book is the dialogue, it was quite clunky in parts and it was obvious that Noel definitely doesn’t quite get a child’s vocabulary, even I at 49 could of done with a thesaurus in parts, also before giving it to any child it should be read through by an adult as there are some parts that could upset a sensitive child.
I found the cover and blurb of Vetman and his Bionic Animal Clan very appealing, and I fancied a break from Christmas romances, so it seemed ideal.
I really enjoyed reading this book. The concept is excellent, a superhero who heals injured animals with bionics that enhance their abilities. I liked Imogen and Findlay, who have been through a tough time, but don’t let it stop them doing the right thing.
Overall, this was a fun adventure, with kindness and love for animals at its heart.
I was given a free copy of this book, my opinions are my own.
This was really enjoyable. I loved that it was illustrated as well. I always knew (well, from reading his non-fiction books) that he was a great story teller and this proves it. I had a little cry about the hedgehog. And I like the the ending isn't completely resolved. Although, Imogen really should have called 999. Now that I have read the ending, I get why she didn't but maybe it's the adult in me that thinks like that.
This is such a beautiful and powerful book. I read this to my 7yo and he enjoyed it but I think I enjoyed it more, with a greater understanding of the message within in. This book deals beautifully with grief, while also dealing with self esteem.
I loved reading this book so much! One of my childhood friends brought it for me as she loved it and i can see why! I've never read a book so quickly I couldn't put it down. I just loved the story and the pictures too. Definitely one of my favourite books can't wait to read more books of his 📚😊
A great heart warming story that is suitable for both the young and old alike. The author’s note at the end has me in tears. Noel is a true animal lover and it shines through this book.
I loved the purpose of this book. I loved the characters and animals. I loved the story and I want more. I don't care that it is a children's book. It brought joy to my heart ❤️
