As Christmas bells ring, so do wedding bells for Nick and Bridget. Yet, something is off. Between frustration with the guest list, eerily familiar work with her recovery group, and whispers of Bridget's past threatening to break back to the forefront, it's time to put her ghosts to rest and celebrate her future. Can she stand firm, or will she stumble and fall?
A novella celebrating found family, selfless love, and the power of testimony.

5 stars. This was the perfect sequel to Back To Me. And I mean PERFECT. Originally, I wasn’t sure I wanted a sequel, but as soon as I started I knew it was gonna be awesome.
This picks up exactly where book 1 left off—a few weeks before the wedding. It’s lovely to see a much happier and healthier Bridget going about her usual schedule—the diner, the historic centre, lots of time with Nick + Nat & Olivia, the church group… For some reason I didn’t notice how fabulous Nick was in book 1; but he was so sweet and amazing in this one! So were his parents. Nat and Olivia were their own selves, and I enjoyed seeing Rachel again!
I loved getting little glimpses of what her life would look like after the wedding, thanks to the occurrences in this book (can’t say more for spoilers!). And of course all the wedding prep was super fun. Also, although it's not a Christmas story per se, only set at Christmas, I enjoyed the subtle Christmas feel and small message.
The best thing about the book was after seeing Bridget learn how to defeat her demons in book 2, we got to see her doing it in real life—falling, starting over, and getting stronger. It was so well done and so encouraging! I loved the themes of moving on, forgiveness while staying safe, and being understanding/gentle with oneself.
In short, I can only repeat my opening line: This was the perfect sequel to Back To Me. And I love it. <3
A Favourite Quote: “Maybe the point isn’t always to know what we need to do next, or what we can learn from it, because we need to let God guide us,” I pipe up quietly. “There are some things we’ll never understand fully until we’re in heaven and able to see clearly. Maybe sometimes, the whole point is to give control to God, to humble ourselves in understanding that we don’t know everything, and let Him show us the path out. He will show us freedom, He will provide an escape, it’s just a matter of giving up that control. It’s hard because we’ve learned to take control with both fists and never let go, because of the times when everything spiraled out of our control. But we have to. We have to surrender.” A Favourite Beautiful Quote: I stare as embers from the fire spiral into the chilly winter sky. They glimmer brightly, unphased by the deep darkness engulfing them. A Favourite Humorous Quote: I rub at my eyes to convince them not to run over, which is too late already. I’ll blame it on the onions Mrs. Wright, um, wasn’t chopping earlier.
*I won a copy of this book during a promotional giveaway and was not required to write a review, positive or otherwise. These are my honest thoughts and opinions.*
This is so sweet and real and all I can do is grin like an idiot. 🥰🥰 This was the sequel to Back to Me that I never knew I needed or wanted until I read it and it was perfect in every way. 🥰
Bridget has grown and healed so much and I’m so proud of her yet she still has demons that come to life every now and then and I loved the realistic way it was handled. I adore Nick and her friends SO MUCH and this story was just beautiful in every way. I loved it and can’t wait to read it again!

This was the sweet, beautiful ending this character deserved. Compared to the first book, this one didn't feel like it had all that much substance to it, but having read the first book it was mostly just seeing the happily ever after play out in real life, which was cool. A little bit more romance since it's focused on the engagement period leading up to them getting married and not much to the plot, but decently satisfying, even if it doesn't have too much happening. Think of it like an epilogue expanded into a book. Recommend the 1st book and if you read the 1st you'll probably want to read this one.
The second book of "The Bridge" picks up several months after the first ends. The subject is not as traumatic as the first book but again deals with a much needed reminder, to leave the past behind and embrace the future that God offers us.
I loved this book! I tend to be pretty picky when it comes to romance books, but I enjoyed the romance in this book. It’s so sweet! I also enjoyed watching Bridget continue to grow as she processes her hurt and trauma.
A beautiful and touching and perfect ending to The Bridge Duology.
The countdown is on! Twenty days until Miss Owens officially becomes Mrs. Wright. Loved reading more Bridget - her story is so beautiful. Hard, but beautiful, you know? This book was definitely a little more lighthearted and cheery than the first, but we've still got a few of those moments. Life's pain and trauma doesn't all go away in and instant. You can't ever stop fighting, can't ever lay down your sword. Bridget's still fighting. And she's got an amazing group of people around her, fighting with and for her. Loved getting to see Nick and Bridget start their life together and I would totally be thrilled if we get a spinoff series at some point with some lil Wright cherubs 😉😁
