A map. A chase. A book that holds the key to the past... and the future. After The Conspiracy, the search for Pam’s identity and the location of archeologist Aristides Kanakis continues in The Torn Map, book 2 in The Legend of the Winged People series.
Take your search through to the end. Follow the clues and you’ll reach him. Time is of the essence.
David and Pam leave Crete aboard a fishing boat used for people smuggling to look for Professor Kanakis, the one person who might have the answers to Pam’s mysterious origins. In Athens, they meet Kanakis’s niece, Sophia, a resourceful soon-to-be Egyptologist with a penchant for martial arts and dangerous stunts, who’s just as worried as David and Pam about her missing uncle.
As the trio investigate Kanakis’s abduction and work to uncover the controversial subject of his latest research, they encounter shipwrecks and bombings, a thrilling ride on a WWII plane, and a visit to a picturesque chalet in the Swiss Alps that might just be a death trap.
With Victor and Mary Anne hot on their heels and the killer Vitteris still on the loose, David and Pam will go to any length to protect the map and save their families from a mastermind plotting in the shadows.
The Torn Map is the second book in The Legend of the Winged People, an exciting serialized six-book adventure that traverses the globe with a compelling cast of characters and fast-paced action.
Join David and Pam as they battle overwhelming odds against caped killers and shady criminals in their hunt for a missing archeologist, a superhuman race, and—above all—their own place in the world.
I am so excited I got to return on this adventure with these fun characters!

My thoughts: What a great 2nd book in this series! It's full of twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat! I love the addition of some characters as well as growing with the same ones. The writing style is just as great as the first and I'm so glad the author asked me to continue on Pam and David's adventure with them! This book is fun and I'm excited to see where it goes from here. Thanks Alessandra!
I give The Torn Map: The legend of the winged people - Book 2 by Alessandra Coco ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Tutti.
After reading Alessandra Coco’s debut novel, The Conspiracy, I was excited to read the sequel, The Torn Map - and I was not disappointed. Now, to be honest, there were a few more spots in this book that gave me pause - particularly some of the details about the Shikazi (I won’t spoil anything) - but overall it was as engaging and entertaining as the first book. The Torn Map continues the adventures of David Thompson and Pam (Pameluna) Kendall as they attempt to find a missing professor who may hold the key to the secret of Pam’s existence. The trail takes them from Athens, Greece, to a chalet in Switzerland with a climactic confrontation with shadowy antagonists.
Alessandra is a master of description, painting word pictures that put you in that lovely chalet in the Swiss Alps or on a storm-tossed smuggler’s boat in the Mediterranean Sea. She also excels at writing personal interactions between her characters and making the reader root for them, even when you don’t especially like some of them. As much as I enjoy adventure, I’m also one who likes a happy ending, and I am hoping from some of the clues she has dropped that there will be happy endings for my favorite characters. All-in-all, this is an excellent addition to The Legend of the Winged People, and I look forward to the next installment, The Shikazi Karaka.

“A map. A chase. A book that holds the key to the past... and the future”
“The Conspiracy, had brought them together, and it was up to him, David, to protect her”
In the search of Professor Kanakis, David and Pam ventures on an odyssey filled with adventure, dangers, secrets and conspiracy. Professor Kanakis has been kidnapped and the chosen ones are looking for him along with a torn map. To venture ahead only Professor Kanakis can help them to find out the other half of map. In the midst of their search, they come across Sophia, Kanakis’s niece. Yet Pam is entangled between the torn map, secrets and the conspiracy. The destiny is unfolding in the form of clues. She is still oblivion to her parents and David will protect her at any cost. Will the trio find out about Professor Kanakis? Will they find their way out of conspiracy and danger that is lurking upon them? The book ended on cliffhanger.
The Torn Map is a great sequel of The Conspiracy and it does not disappoint, on the contrary; the story is becoming more and more involving and exciting. The plot is in this book somehow more linear and very easy to follow; many unexpected details of the characters are revelead, which give them more depth and makes you understand how things in life are not always black or white, good or bad, right or wrong. New interesting characters are also introduced, who make the story even more unpredictable. Alessandra describes the many action scenes with details but not becoming boring or slowing down the pace, which is always keeping the reader’s attention. The scene of the airplane and in the chalet are really exciting and involving. I’m looking forward to read the next chapter of The Legend of the Winged people Series. Will we find out more hints on who Pam really is?
Book 2 of the Legend of the Winged People series. This book was just as good as the first, but you need to read the first one to understand it. The plot had me struggling to put this book down. Outside of the amazing plot and the adventure, I really enjoyed the characters, including the new ones. I like the cover for this one, especially how it connects to the first book.
Book 2, The Torn Map kept me reading! Alessandra Coco's writing is beautiful. The way she intertwines the characters and events is amazing! I highly recommend this book and series.
