A primer in success-building, The Magic Ladder to Success is Hill's compact distillation of his lifetime of learning. The Magic Ladder to Success is the volume in which Napoleon Hill first distilled the seventeen factors that make up his Law of Success philosophy. These key principles capture the ethics and actions that empower all who harness them to become leaders in the field of their choice. Leaders are not born, Hill argues, they are molded by a remarkably similar, simple, and dynamic set of habits. The Magic Ladder to Success is Napoleon Hill's lost classic-long out of print, it is newly available as a stand-alone edition, revised and updated for the twenty-first century.
Oliver Napoleon Hill was an American self-help author and conman. He is best known for his book Think and Grow Rich (1937), which is among the best-selling self-help books of all time. Hill's works insisted that fervid expectations are essential to improving one's life. Most of his books were promoted as expounding principles to achieve "success". Hill is a controversial figure. Accused of fraud, modern historians also doubt many of his claims, such as that he met Andrew Carnegie and that he was an attorney.

A short and precise book to develop ourselves to be successful. One of the lesson that I’m particularly fond of is about having a clear goal and vision of what we want to become.
There are times that I feel a bit lost and demotivated. What I would do is I would stop and visualise my future goals, and it help me to move on and get back on my track.
this book was pretty much the same with the past book that i had read, "Think and Grow Rich" and "How to Be Rich" but a little more nuggets can be found here.
Its good. It’s like an abridged version of Think and Grow Rich. The message is to get successful, which you can become through hard, smart and planned work.
Not a book I got to go highlighter crazy on. That's simply because the chapters were small and the messages were pretty clear. Every time I grabbed one, I realized I would be highlighting whole pages or paragraphs if I did.
A book you can read over the course of a couple lunch breaks and walk away with some valuable insights to carry on into your daily life. It's also telling that the author was born in 1883 and what he wrote is still pertinent. It goes to show that not much has changed in the way people think and act. It's titles The Magic ladder To Success but really the principles are valuable whether you consider 3 million dollars to be success or just being a solid, thoughtful, stand-up person.
Great format that is easy to read and reference, with practical advice on how to achieve success in any area of your life. My favorite part of the book is the example of Napoleons step mother. He attributes his success to her attitude and sacrifices towards formal education. I have heard so much about Napoleon Hill, it was inspiring to learn that his mother was at the root of his success. Success affects my friends and family in a very real way. Beautiful.

I heard this book on Audible. It was hard to get through.
The book wasn't bad. I like the ideas/laws, but not the delivery. I plan on listening/reading more of Hill's books with the hopes of getting a better delivery. I might even revisit this book in physical form in the future.
Hill has some very useful advice, but I didn't like the spiritual tone of the book.
He mentions how there is an unseen mental energy all around us that science hasn't discovered yet. He's not a scientist and spends too much time on explaining basic science to support his theories. A lot of this is found up until the Mastermind law.
I would recommend skimming or skipping the first part of the book and beginning somewhere in Chapter 6. I don't think you picked up this book to read about structure of atoms.
A couple of interesting ideas from this book:
1. The law of saving. This is the one law that was missing from his philosophy. And once he discovered it, his theory of success was complete. You must create a habit of saving to truly be successful; the amount is not important, just the habit.
2. The idea of harnessing sexual power. We are sexual beings and this is our primary form of motivation. If harnessed, you gain power."
Glad I didn't put so much time into it and just read the summary. My problem with such books is that they tell you to PUT YOUR MIND INTO IT or AVOID NEGATIVE THOUGHTS. You can't really run away from negative thoughts cause creating them is the function and the nature of the brain. The economy varies from country to country, and not all people find it easy to stick to a firm plan or rule. It's nice to have a look at these books (sometimes you can find good advice, though), but you're not obliged to accept whatever they say.
Recycling the other books, I believe “Think and Grow Rich” is his most influential work. I purchased the trilogy of his best books and finally read all of them.
As expected, Napoleon Hill shared some truly valuable principles (which were already present within the books, but let’s not dwell on that). However, his approach to conveying these principles to the reader is quite exhausting. He excessively uses words and provides numerous examples without directly reaching the core message. I believe this book could be significantly shorter if he had focused more on the main points.
This book is one big yes to success. Sure, okay, you could ask for more and more perfect and get it. But, if it were more perfect - there would be no room to think for yourself or create for yourself. Napoleon Hill and the editors give you that room. I love this version. Seeming imperfections and all.
Eu li a forma condensada, ele é maravilhoso.
Good and insightful book on success. Talks about a lot of the similar theories of success and how mastering the mind is crucial. I like how this book lists traits needed for success but also lists the most common r causes of failure. This is good to know what potential downfalls you might face and be ready to actively avoid/deal with them. Solid book 5/5
It's almost the same as Think and Grow Rich but explains the 16 principles of success bit the book says for people who are willing to apply and be serious about changing their lives and relationships....
the book is very repetitive if you have read the master key and think & grow rich. hill repeats a lot of what has already been discussed but breaks down the 17 principles.
there are a few takeaways but I would read this as refresher book.
