When I was a child I thought I’d marry my best friend. Our relationship flirted on the edge of becoming something more for years.

That was before I accidentally married his older brother. One forgotten night in Vegas changed the course of my life.
Ours is a marriage of inconvenience. Stryker Lawson is older, constantly grumpy, and my new boss. He’s also my every fantasy made flesh, but I won’t be ruled by my emotions. No matter how hard I try to push him away, he won’t give up on the idea of us.

Neither will his brother.

My marriage isn’t the only merger I have to manage. Someone is trying to tear down everything we’re working to rebuild, the company and our future. They won’t stop until we go down in flames.

Marrying Stryker might have been a mistake, but is it the key to everything I was afraid to want?

This was a really good book. All of the books in the Business and Pleasure series have been so well-written, and the stories are all amazing.

I loved the premise of this one. Stryker and Sabrina got married in Vegas 5 years earlier, and while Sabrina didn't remember getting married, Stryker had been pining after her for the last five years. The story flowed naturally, and it was very realistic/believable. It was great being back in this world, and I would definitely recommend it.

Sabrina has always been looking for the one, but something is always missing, and she wonders if she will ever find them. She finally gives into dating her best friend Malcom, but still doesn’t feel the spark.
When she gets offered a new position, some interesting checks come up, she married her new boss Stryker five years ago and can’t remember.
Stryker has never given up in Sabrina he knows he loves her but wanted to be a better man for her.
The one thing she didn’t know is that Malcom is Stryker’s brother and Malcom doesn’t want them together and will go to any lengths.
Sabrina doesn’t know Stryker but what she does know is that she hasn’t had any chemistry like this with anyone and isn’t ready to walk away.
How far will Malcom go to ensure that Sabrina and Stryker don’t stay together to get what he wants.

Great book! Stryker & Sabrina have a past that Sabrina doesn’t remember. Things get sticky when he becomes her new boss. Even worse when she’s dating his brother. Can you say complicated? You’ll have to read to see how it all turns out! Very much worth the read!!

“Stryke It Hot” (ARC REVIEW)
I’ve read all of the books in the Business and Pleasure series and The Merger is the best by far. Tropes abound in this installment: age gap, secret marriage, marriage of convenience, office romance, grumpy/sunshine, second chance, alpha hero, and a couple of others I won’t mention because I don’t want to give away parts of the story.
Sabrina has always lived her life on the peripheral. Close but not too close. And that probably has something do with her jerk of a mother making her feel inferior. But she is smart and loyal to a fault. She gets the opportunity for a better position at a new job and that’s where Stryker comes in. Dude is the grump of all grumps. But he has a good reason for it. Pining after his wife is like a life mission for this dude. And the angst! My goodness, it’s a whole vibe. Not to mention his hanky panky proclivities…totally took me by surprise. But I’m here for it. Sabrina learns about herself through Stryker and vice versa so the character development is wrapped up in their coupledom.
There is a bit of suspense and a whole lot of drama. And that’s what makes this one different from the other two books in the series. It was unexpected, but it took me on a journey that made me eager to learn its finale. Things got a little blurry for me in the ‘business’ part of the story. But could be just me.
Bottom line: The Merger is a good spicy read.
I read and reviewed an ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Read if you’re down with:
*Age Gap
*Office Romance
*Grumpy/Sunshine
*Alpha Hero
*Possessive/Protective
*Drama

OMG, y’all! I loved this book so freaking much!! This is by far the spiciest book that Kimberly has written to date, and let me tell you I am HERE for it! When I tell you that I love everything about Stryker…mmmmmhhhmmm. That man is scrumptious with a side of DAAAAAAAAAMN! Seriously, I love him more than Colton, and that man has tattoos and “jewelry” (iykyk), which are my absolute weakness. I just need to know where I can find my own Stryker. No, seriously, I NEED to know! Add in the fact that Sabrina is woman after my own heart with how strong she is and the loyalty she has to those who are important to her, and these two have ended up being by favorite couple of this series.

Characters aside, even though I wasn’t surprised by anything that happened in the story line, in fact I predicted most of it, I still thoroughly enjoyed it. I couldn’t put this book down and I flew through it no time. If anything, this has just made me even more excited to see what Carrillo is going to write in her future books!

Loved, Loved, Loved Stryker and Sabrina

We have known Sabrina as a secondary character in previous books. Who we didn’t know was Stryker. I have to say, I thought Sabrina was going to finally get together with Malcom, her best friend and this was going to be a playboy turned in love type of book –ohhh how I was wrong. I won’t tell you how Stryker fits into this group’s dynamic, but it makes things interesting!!!

This is a surprise wedding kinda book and the rekindling of Stryker and Sabrina is hot!! The two have great chemistry and their private times are HOT!!!! I loved this series and will miss these book people!

Stryker and Sabrina had one night together and Stryker wanted forever. Only Sabrina left the next morning going on with her life, like that night never happened. Because she didn’t remember it or him. Now years later he’s her new boss and she’s dating his brother. Stryker knows he has to make his move now and tell her he’s her husband or lose her forever. She doesn’t remember him but her body reacts to him like it knows they are meant to be together. She just has to get her head to agree. And all the gang are there to help them along.

What a great addition to this series! Sabrina and Stryker have a complicated history together. One Sabrina doesn't remember. Their relationship becomes even more complicated when Stryker is put in control of the company where Sabrina works and is now her boss. I really enjoyed reading their journey to happiness and catching up with the rest of the family. It was a great ending!

Thank you for the privilege of reading this book! Well done

In this final instantly of this interconnected series, the author has not held back. The steam, the love the drama is just a delicious read. This is one of those perfect palate cleansers that you'll reach for again and again. Stryker & Sabrina's story doesn't lack in the spice department, so prepare yourself for a cold shower. Tropes: Age Gap, grumpy/sunshine, accidental marriage.

Written in dual 1st POV.
