Screenplays of movies you love are some of the most enjoyable things. This is one of my favorite movies, and the fact that the screenplay hones that much more into postmodernism and is so enjoyable. It reminds me of some of my favorite authors. Finding all the little nuances between the two is more fun than book to movie because you get to guess the why and actors ad libbing and living the characters is a much more likelihood of the changes than always just the director or screenwriter.
I will definitely watch (and read) any other screenplays they create.
I love screenplays; they are such a breath of fresh air after reading an especially long book or series. I love that screenplays give you only the most important and significant details and let you fill in the rest. I love that the brisk nature of the text allows for a greater depth of meaning and comedy. The Menu’s screenplay was no exception. I found this screenplay and expected to be bored since I so recently watched the movie, but the script itself is hilarious and grim. It would be so easy for the humor to fall flat, but I laughed numerous times while reading this. It was such a quick, fun read! The only complaint I have is that the formatting was a little off—I’m not sure if this was due to it being a Kindle edition, but it was a little disjointed at some points.
