I'm so passed off at Giselle, and Nick! I don't care what anyone says. It is not cool to screw your so call best friend husband. Eve, is stupid and naive to ever suggest that Giselle, and Nick, have sex, while she's on bed rest with the twins she's carrying. Giselle, is truly a whore, because before Eve, suggested that her and Nick, should have sex. Giselle, was already fantasizing about Nick's body. I cannot believe that Eve, would suggest such a thing. Did she not learn anything from her other friend Louise?!!! I cannot feel sorry for Giselle, not after she slept with Stefan and Carlo, knowing that they we're brothers and she didn't tell them that she knew. She's just a big whore. I don't mean to sound judgemental. But where I'm from... You just don't sleep with your friends husband, not matter what.
A lot of errors in this book. Extra letters where they don’t belong. Wrong names put in sentences, and it’s obvious. Also don’t like the weird direction she took things. Eve becoming almost like a pimp at times.

The story picks up where the last one ends with Giselle packing up and leaving. Of course we know the people who love her, Nick and Eve, won't let that happen so she ends up back at their home once again. This story focuses on the further developing relationship of Giselle, Nick and Eve. I'll just say I wasn't really surprised in the direction of their relationship based on the previous books and series.
Carlo and Stefan arrive home at the end of the book after being away in Italy. I can't wait to find out what happens next after that eye opening ending!
Ok, so we knew this was coming. Giselle's life is still a hot mess, and I'm very close to being over it. Hoping the next novella has some kind of epiphany between her, Carlos and Stephan, because right now the whole plot/situation/etc seems like it's just being dragged out. Seriously, get your heads out of your asses people!
I knew this was going to get kinky. And I’m betting that Giselle is running from a crime family. It would be seriously entertaining if she was running from a member of the Sovrano family. I’ll wait and see. I’m not certain how much I like this series though…. I guess I’ll have to get to the end to assess.
I got addicted to these little novelas but it really bums me out that they’re so short and over ten of them for this one story. Especially for the price of a full novel. Nonetheless I’m too invested and have to see how it end. They’re all cliff hangers too.
"Forgetting the King" (The Sovrano Crime Family Book 5) by Jessa York was a fantastic read. I loved this latest part of Giselle's story. This story had twists, emotions, passion, romance, family, close friends, billionaires, and more. I can't wait to see where the story goes next. Highly recommend it to all fans of dark romance, passion, billionaires, and series.
You thought you were outside your comfort zone, right? Like, with Eve and Nick? Or Giselle and the men who broke her heart? That was nothing. Trust me.
This one will make you feel some strong feelings. Anger. Hatred. Sadness. Desire? Yeah, I was surprised by this book, for sure. Because Giselle is trying to do the right thing. But maybe what she thinks is right isn’t exactly it. And after an awkward encounter, it’s clear that someone else wants her to do their version of right instead of the normal version. But will she? I mean, she’s been used and abused and is in danger if anyone keeps digging. And yet, she’s got someone badgering her to please please help in a way that only she could or should. So some secrets come out and we’re all stunned in the end. But will the big grovel come? Or are Carlo and Stefan even nastier and more vindictive and hypocritical than we ever thought? I need to know!
I am truly at a loss for words after reading Forgetting the King, book 5 of The Sovrano Crime family. Ms.York threw in a few twists that I honestly did not see coming. From late-night movies, chats with your best friend, proposals - not the marrying type, secrets revealed and people's names slipping out while dreaming, this book will have your head spinning and your jaw hitting the floor. Can Giselle live with the decisions that she makes? What about Stephen and Carlo, what will happen with them? The range of emotions that ran through my body and head had me all over the place. Anger, shock, surprise, sadness and happiness were just a few of the feelings that I felt. I cannot wait for book 6 but I am not sure my heart can take anymore. Ms.York, for me this series is highly addictive.
This book had me feeling all sorts of feelings. I am still one jumbled mess of emotions.
One minute I am sad then the next I am mad. Here to hop on the train is hot and bothered followed by shocked and surprised. There is some happy in there too but we have so much left to go through and I am worried for my poor heart.
This book shows us more of Giselle’s fear. She is so reluctant to let anyone help. We also have some unconventional asks of a friend, I mean it is Nic and Eve and Carol and Stephan so the ask isn’t so weird lol
Giselle finally sees Nick's bossy side, as well as another side of him that she wasn't expecting nor prepared for. Tensions rise as Giselle and Dani stay with Nick and Eve, with Eve suggesting an unconventional (but familiar) arrangement. Poor Giselle's head seems like it's about to explode, until she puts two and two together about Stephan and Eve's relationship.
What happens next is certainly steamy, and we're left with Carlo witnessing something that will likely drive his curiosity and jealousy over the edge!

This book is book five in the Sovrano Crime family series. Giselle is asked by Eve to help her out while she is on bed rest with the twins. Giselle just never thought her best friend would ask her to help her by loving her husband. Nick, Eve, and Giselle move their relationship into new territory while Nick is still trying to find out who Giselle really is. Carlo comes in at the end of the story and catches Giselle and Nick in an embrace not knowing what Eve has asked. We are left to wonder what will happen next know that Carlo sees what is happening. I can’t wait to see what the next story will hold.
Let me take you to 03:00 on the first day (or night, lol) of January. There was still a lot of fireworks outside and I thought "You know what? I can't sleep so just let me check out that ebook I got with the last Stuff your Kindle (or in my case Kobo) day." It is now the third of January and I just finished book 8.
Did I regret getting almost no sleep these past days? No I did not.
Why, you ask?
Because this I haven't enjoyed a bookseries so much as I love this one in a very long time. Like it has "fanfic telenovela level" drama (which is a very good thing) but is also written well. I enjoy it so, so much.
Forgetting the King is the next book in the Sovrano Crime Family series and focuses more on Giselle along with Nick and Eve. Stefan and Carlo return to Italy but Giselle learns this from their two girlfriends when she bumps into them shopping for Eve. Eve makes what Giselle thinks is an unrealistic expectation while she’s unavailable with her pregnancy and Carlo finally has what I like to think of as karma slap him in the face🙃
Looking forward to find out what happens next❣️I received an advanced copy and willingly leave my honest review🤩
This was a very interesting book with a wonderful twist! Wow! I am totally intrigued by Giselle’s real story. Now I definitely want to know all the details. But at the same time that twist, with Nick, Carlo and Stefan involved with other people… wow! It was awesome and confusing and too short. I need more!!! Every time I’m left wanting more of the story. I can’t wait for the next book in the series, hopefully it’ll be the conclusion of Giselle’s story, though it seems there’s a lot more to uncover!
This is book 5 of the Sovrano Crime Family series. It is important that you’ve read books 1-4 in this series first. There are some spoilers in this book for the Rosetti Crime family series, so you may want to also read that series first. Giselle’s story continues but takes a slight turn from the expected. There is a sprinkling of spice in this book! Giselle continues to be conflicted with her feelings and we still don’t have many answers for her history/background. I’m so interested to find out what happens next!!
Ok in this installment it was not what I was expecting. This one doesn't have much of Carlo and Stefan as they are off in Italy for the most part and Giselle is trying to still figure out a way to leave to stay safe. But Nick and Eve have other plans up their sleeves.
This one again was not what I was expecting Jessa York to go there but I guess C'est la vie for the most part. I mean I love my BFF but this was a HUGE ask from Eve. And AGAIN the WTF moment Carlo has at the end was a doozy!! Can't wait for the next one!!!
What did I just read? What was hinted at in the last book is brought front and center! Eve and Nick are awaiting the arrival of their twins and Giselle is needed even more! But the way she's needed is mind boggling to say the least, in Giselle's mind as well as mine!
The heat, the secrets revealed, the twists that have turned my brain into a pretzel! I am fanning myself as I devour these pages of burning prose! I am left with my jaw dropping to the floor as I wait anxiously for the next book!
Forgetting the King was so many unexpected things! This book and series took an unexpected turn that I can't say I was totally surprised about, but was at the same time. Eve asks Giselle for a very big and unusual favor while she is on bed rest. At first Giselle is against it and tells her friend no, but things eventually just kind of happen. Carlo discovers what Eve has asked her friend to do and leaves us wondering how he is going to handle things
Forgetting the King is the fifth book in The Sovarno Crime Family series, and WOW that was a twist I didn't see coming! Continuing Giselle's story, where trying to do the right thing may not be. I am loving Giselle's story with all it's surprises and secrets. I look forward to reading book six and see what happens next.
Nick catches Giselle as she is about to leave. He gets Giselle to promise to stay while Eve is on bedrest. We get some tidbits on her past. An unusual proposition has the dynamics changing in the household.
Another breath-taking piece of this series leaving you dying for more.
***** I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book *****
Giselle continues to hide her past. She has Stefan and Carlo going around in circles. These men are powerful and protective of her and her baby. Now Eve's suggestion is quite an eye opener. Finally get to find out the truth about Giselle's past in the final book. Can't wait.
Her friend asks for a favor and she thinks she lost her mind. Can she be open minded and help her friend. Also she is still trying to escape her past and forget the 2 men that she loves. Oh the cliffhanger.
This one was a bit hard for me and definitely put me out of my comfort zone. I know I wouldn't have been able to be so open minded even for my best friend. This one will put you in emotion overload. I felt sad, angry, pissed and sadness. I need to know what happens next asap!
Expect the unexpected with this group of friends. The twists will have you on the edge of your seat. Giselle doesn't know what to think of her friend's request. She's trying to do the right thing. I can't wait to see what happens next.
Oh Giselle and Eve. They are besties…. Eve wants Giselle’s help but she not quite sure she can help Eve. Nick wants to take care of everyone and Carlo and Stefan…. Love all of them but really the cliffhanger….. can’t wait for more!
