Panic Station is the prequel to the forthcoming Ghosts of Nowhere Town series.
I have never wanted to talk about a book so bad in my life. I have so many questions and so many theories I want to bounce off others. However, I hate spoilers so I won't be saying any of that. I wasn't just drawn in, I feel like I fell into the pages and couldn't escape. Even after the last page my brain couldn't stop thinking about it. I'm still experiencing the anxiety and the questions Em has are circling in my brain. Her worry and fear are understandable, but some of her, and other's, ping-ponging reactions have me speculating. I've never needed answers so badly! I'm usually fine with cliffhangers. In fact, I like them because they keep a story going and I hate endings. However, the next book in this series isn't going to come soon enough.
The writing is fabulous, the plot moves quickly, the emotions are believable, the main character is someone I connected with, and the story stays with me. All of these things make it a must read.
Passengers are trapped in a stalled train car surrounded by dense fog. All the systems seem to be down and there is no phone signals. It is fascinating to listen and visualize how each passenger is coping with the problem. At one point, the doors open and all the passengers from this car exit. They walk together to find safety in a train station. Arguments and opinions pop up, but are soon worked out in some way. There even seems to be a bit of burgeoning passion slowly entering the mixture. This is an interesting prequel to a new series that I am looking forward to.
Panic Station-Wide by Elodie Crowe is a prequel to A Ghost of Nowhere Town series. It is the eerie story of Ewan and Emelia. They, and others on the carriage, become trapped by a deep, surrounding, elusive fog. They are trapped and there is no escape. Then, there are the troubling apparitions Emelia keeps seeing. All while the two of them get slowly closer.
This is an interesting opening for the series….not entirely sure yet, where is it going…but, I’m up for the ride!! Interesting start…I’m intrigued!
Ok that was intense my anxiety and mind is working overtime trying to figure things out and guessing with still no answers. Em is one strong woman and I'm actually afraid for her and I don't k own about Edwen yet I'll think happy thoughts.
This was written to keep you engaged, its fast paced and you can connect with the characters easily and feel it all. I'm so nervous for what's to come who knows the mind of Elodie Crowe it could be anything. I can't wait for the next one.
I felt a little in the dark reading this story. I understand it is a prequel, and more is coming, but I kept waiting for more. There is a feeling of darkness in Ewan, and something terrible will happen to Emilie. Dun dun dun...
This was like all my favorite Twilight Zone episodes all rolled up into one really good story! Suspenseful and creepy and intriguing and I cannot wait for the rest!
What a start to this story it makes you feel as though you are part of the story as you read it. It’s about a carriage of passengers on a train that stops because of thick fog. No one is allowed to leave the carriage then without warning they are told to leave the train. This has a lot of suspense and mistrust I can’t wait to read the next part. I received an ARC for an honest review which I have given
