Another book by Jessie Ash and another story about a guy that ends up becoming girl. This time it's in a scientific center and the main character, Alex, is in a science contest.
Danny is his best friend and is a quarterback.
The experiment involves gene splicing. It doesn't go right, though, and involves an explosion but that's what happens and Alex gets the results.
She becomes a gender shifter and ends up attracted to Danny.
There's basically a double-good ending to the book. There are also alternative covers.
