My first read of a DP novel in years and it was an enjoyable read for me. Ty and Erin's book. Erin has been in love with Ty since she was a very young girl, but he sees her as only his sister's best friend. They have been in each other's lives thru ups and downs and the two girls share a close bond, not so much with Ty.Erin even works for him at the company's office in San Antonio. This book takes place part in Jacobsville and the later part in Catelow,Wyoming. Long time readers will know about storied Jacobsville, the epitome of small town Texas. Ty has begun to develop feelings for Erin, but as with any DP hero was badly burned by a past OW and is scarred. They go on a date, followed by another where he wines, dines, and seduces her, virginity is gone for the pious heroine.Soon after, regrets on both part and he takes her home where she sees her cancer ridden father unconscious on the floor. Bad news seem to follow as she finds out he has a stroke and poor prognosis and soon dies. The father has also squandered away their home and savings and is being evicted. Even more bad news when the hero accuses her of corporate espionage and fires her on the spot. The heroine has recently found out that she is pregnant and is devasted by the hero's behavior. She tells him he will regret all he says without proof and leaves him. This book had all the elements that make a DP novel a DP novel.I enjoyed seeing old faces such as Cash Grier and Tippy and the appearance of Lassiter. The hero Ty was really sweet when he realize his mistakes and I loved how he loved his family. DP lovers will enjoy this romance,I did.

Nothing new in this typical DP story. We have the usual elements of her most popular books - unrequited love: the heroine has been in love with her bff older brother forever but he’s always seen her as a sister - older hero. He’s 10 years older, so she had to watch him dating the whole world while she pined away. - destitute heroine. She has a job at the hero’s company but she loses everything because. Jinxed. Her father lost money, house and all, she was fired and nobody would hire her. - virgin vs manwhore. They date casually and the hero drinks too much, taking her vCard, but doesn’t realize and thinks she plays the field. This is the start of her trouble because he thinks she’s basically a hooker and when something comes up he thinks the worst of him. - double standard. - plain heroine dressed as a granny and hot hero. - big misunderstandings and the hero believes some made up paper that tells him she basically sold him out. Of course it was a setup but he fires her and calls the other competitors so she won’t be hired. She leaves and goes to a cousin. - unexpected pregnancy. She hides from the hero at her cousin’s. He finds out eventually he screwed up and she was innocent. He finds out about the child and goes back to her. - in the end he doesn’t even say ily and I think he doesn’t love her at all but was more interested in the son she gave him. - I won’t rate it one star because to me DP is like a dear aunt. And I always know what to expect from her. And because there is not some mystery sub plot that makes it boring. But it’s nothing new and I couldn’t feel love from him. - the unrequited thing after some time becomes quite tiring. The 25 yo virgin is quite unbelievable nowadays but she is a christian so I suppose she was waiting. Pity she gave it to the azzhole hero who did not even want to have a serious commitment with her. I think this hero was not a complete azzhole to her. He knew she had a teenage crush for him but never joked and never made fun of her. He was treating her quite decently until he believed that bs about how she would have ruined his business. That was a bit stretched. She was bff forever and he should have believed her when she said she was innocent. But otherwise there would be no drama.
This is a Cowboy Romance, and this is the 12th book in the Wyoming Men series. I have not read any of the other books in this series before picking up this book, but I now want to go back and read the other books in this series. I enjoyed reading this book. This book had me wanting to keep reading and I read this book in one sitting because I could not put it down.
Erin has been in love with Ty, who is also her boss, since she was a teenager. She gave up on ever catching his attention romantically, but then he asks her out on a date. Erin doesn’t think the date is anything more than just a ruse to get a persistent female off Ty’s tail, and it is a little of that, but Ty has been seeing Erin a bit differently lately. More than just his little sister’s best friend.
They end up sleeping with each other, and from Erin’s POV it seems Ty regrets and feels guilty, so she makes it seem like it didn’t mean much when it really meant the world to her. She ends up pregnant (in the book description), but other stuff is going on: her father is ill, financial woes thanks to her idiot father, and then Ty is an idiot too!
Ty’s company loses a bid to a competitor that came in with lower prices. Ty is told that Erin is responsible. Ty believes the accusation despite Erin’s denials.
Yep, there was a lot of angst. I wanted to strangle Ty and Erin’s father! When a guy’s an idiot there has to be a proper amount of groveling to salvage the romance for me. Did Erin forgive him? Well, I guess you’ll have to read it and see, but this is a romance. I was happy with how it all turned out, and I was compelled to read straight through after I got to the 30% mark. It was a page-turner!
I’ve been wanting to read one of Diana Palmer’s romances for quite some time, she’s such a legend in the genre! I was happy I finally got my chance. While Wyoming Proud was a bit more angsty than I usually prefer, I enjoyed it and would like to read more of her backlist soon! A copy was kindly provided by Canary Street Press in exchange for an honest review.
Well, this one was disappointing. The h is in love with H for the majority of the book. After having his baby, he realizes that he may care for the h but mostly wants to see his son.
I did not care for the H. He was selfish, arrogant and miserable.

This is book 12 in the Wyoming Men series by Diana Palmer and I have been enjoying all of these books. I love the characters, the storylines and how so many people know each other in these small towns. So many of the previous characters seem to pop up in the books and I like being able to see what they've been up to.
Erianne/Erin has been friends with Annie and her brother Ty for a long time. They are like family and Erin has been working for Ty at his company for a long time. When a bid goes wrong and Ty finds out that someone went behind his back and betrayed him, he hires a detective agency to find out who did it. When they tell him it was Erin, he doesn't go digging to see if they were right, he just fires her and tells her not to contact his sister again. That was a little shocking seeing how they have all been friends for so long and he is easily able to believe that she could do that.
Poor Erin has a really hard time of it and Ty just keeps making things harder for her. She loses everything and ends up leaving town to live with a distant cousin when she finds out she's pregnant with Ty's baby. After what he did, I wouldn't have even told my cousin who the father really was because he never would have seen me again. She was down and out and he just kept making things harder for her. I thought this guy was a total jerk for the longest time and smiled when he realized what he lost and how heart broken he was. He deserved that and more, for a longer period of time. I don't see how she'll ever trust him again but she's made of stronger stuff than I am because she loves him even after he hurt her emotionally when she was already hurting.
All these bad things kept happening to Erin and I kept expecting to see her fall apart but she never did, she just took it all in stride and kept going.
There were a few deaths in this book and that was sad to see. But I loved this book and will definitely be reading more of this series when the books come out.
Disclosure: I was given an e-ARC of this book via NetGalley but all thoughts and opinions are my own.
I really hate dissing a book and an author, but so that other readers don't waste their precious reading time, I have to do it with this book.
I gave this book two stars because the author got it written and it was published. No mean feat. But...
There are so many inconsistencies, starting with the cover. It shows a redheaded and red-bearded cowboy in a summer straw hat standing in a snow-covered field. I'm thinking that during the winter, he would wear a Stetson made of felt or leather. But the biggest inconsistency is that in the book, the male protag has BLACK hair and eyes! Doesn't the author--or someone--approve the covers before the book goes to print?
At the very beginning of the book, the male protag is drinking whiskey, but later on, the author describes him as a teetotaler. And even later, the male protag describes an earlier driving drunk accident he was involved in. So, is he an recovering alcoholic?
The male protag is a contractor/builder and loses out on a bid to build an apartment or condo complex. He is undercut by a builder with a reputation for using inferior building materials. At one point, the author writes that a wall at the building site collapsed and killed two workers. But later, the author writes that five workers were killed.
There were too many inconsistencies to list all of them here. But here is one last one: In the author bio on the inside back cover, it is written that the author "has a gift for telling the most sensual tales..." But there are only two "sex scenes" and both are dry and mechanical with little detail and no sensuality.
Dialogue is stiff and unnatural, and the backstories are told through stilted exposition via dialogue. And description and backstory were repeated numerous times throughout the book. Thank you, but I don't need to be reminded about a detail I've already read. And if I had to read that the male protag's scent was a soft spicy scent one more time, I was going to scream. And way too many typos.
I'm afraid I must put Diana Palmer on my Do Not Read list so that I don't waste another minute of my precious reading time reading her books.
Was an okay read. Light and easy. The usual light cowboy romance of realising to late the MMC loves the FMC. Baby involved and the end up married. Is a predictable book. There was A LOT of errors within this book, such as the best friend being called Erin instead of Annie with Erin being the FMC, and this was consistent through out and took a minute to realise who it was actually referring to.
This book has potential. Not a whole lot of depth and repetitive. Timeline issues, editing should have been better. Character names swapped a few times. Too big of a gap where there was no interaction between the two main characters. The anger there was quickly resolved. I read read her past books. So much better. This book was unrealistic when addressing legal issues. Things were too wrapped up in a bow. Didn't like that the main male character was to the point of killing himself over a previous relationship that later wasn't love. She use to have them tough. I like a strong man. Could still be affected but not to that point. Plus, the set up for the next book is already exactly the same. I love that there's a voice for the plain women in her books. This book could have been better.
Erianne Mitchell has been in love with Ty Mosby for years. His sister is her BFF; when he finally ask her out, she's over the moon. Ty is using her to get one of his employees to back off on her pursuit of him.
Erin works for Ty and when he loses a bid on a project she is blamed for the leak and he fires her. Erin goes to work at another contractors office and Ty makes sure she fire from that job.
Erin moves from Texas to Wyoming after her heartbreak. When Ty learns the truth is it too late to get Erin back in his life?
Two toxic idiots. Heroine is a down on her luck resident of Jacobsville and hero owns a construction company that is simultaneously booming and also desperate for a contract. Heroine idol worships hero who is the brother of her best friend.
I always feel amazed after reading a DP book. She creates such vivid, lovable, and funny characters that go through an emotional hurricane and manage to survive plus find love together! Our hero is gorgeous, smart, sexy, but still mysterious and thinks he's not ready for marriage yet. Our heroine is a wallflower with smarts but struggles with a dad that likes get rich schemes that leaves them close to debt. She has been in love with our hero forever but hides it as she fears he won't believe it because of her money problems. But fate deals her a tough hand and her fears come true and his vengeance is painful. She flees and he realizes how much he cares. Our hero raises German Shepherds and is very protective of his babies which goes to redeeming him. DP books are so moving and leave you with a good feeling.
Erianne “Erin” Mitchell works for her best friend’s family construction company. She tries to keep her father in line with his get rich schemes. Erin has been in love with her best friend’s brother since she was young. Tyson “Ty” Regan Mosby is an architect running his own construction company. His past experience with women wanting him for his money but especially his ex-fiancé. Ty wants help from his employee to put off another gold digger. When Ty’s feelings for Erin become more just friendship and a lost bid for a huge contract come between them, it may just take more than being Wyoming Proud to find true love.
The twelfth book in Diana Palmer’s Wyoming Men series is Wyoming Proud. The story is about a woman who has been in love with her best friend’s brother since she was young. A man that was almost conned by his ex-fiancé decided he never wants kids or a wife. Erin Mitchell works at a construction company since she was in high school. Tyson Mosby considers his sister’s best friend part of the family. Until recently and too much attention from a new female employee brings Ty and Erin into a romantic scenario that may just have them finding more. A much-wanted bid for a project is lost, putting Ty looking for answers. Wyoming Proud has passion, drama, cute German Sheperd dogs, and two people who have known each other their whole lives. Lives are changed forever when accusations are made, and secrets kept. There is family who come to the rescue, best friends who are more like family. Diana Palmer’s Wyoming Proud takes the reader on a heartfelt journey through a story of true love and the complications coming from misunderstanding, unrequited love, and family who mean well but also complicate things. Her heroine, Erin Mitchell face so many obstacles the reader wonders if she’ll make it through. Diana Palmer’s hero, Tyson Mosby because of his past experience with an ex that has him questioning the one person who is in his corner no matter what. Their romantic relationship gets complicated by secrets and mistrust that just makes the situation worse until the truth is revealed and they work toward reconciliation. Wyoming Proud by Diana Palmer had this fan crying and hoping that true love would prevail. That there will be forgiveness and a happily ever after. A must for Diana Palmer fans. If you love modern western cowboy romance that engages the reader with so much emotion, then you’ll love this book. This reader has been a fan of Diana Palmer for years and this was a wonderful story of love and romance with tough and modern cowboy and a courageous heroine who finds her way all her trouble along with loveable dogs that round out the story.
I picked this up knowing that it would be a trashy novel (you know, those paperback books with shirtless guys plastered all over the cover, that usually sit on some random rack in the library). Now, listen: I love a good trashy book, with messy drama, hundreds of expletives, and just weird shit happening for the sake of it. They usually have very few boundaries, and go beyond what you would consider appropriate for a standard book. (Potentially TMI?: The average adult book is usually a bit modest. But trash novels? They are insane sometimes with the s*x scenes and I am completely and utterly sat for it.)
This book, though? One of the worst things I've ever read. I would've done better watching grass grow than sitting through two hundred something pages of absolute horseshit and misogyny.
By the way, I'm not bothering to add any other spoiler warnings except this one. So read at your own risk (even though you probably could predict everything anyway).
First? The main character is not like other girls, and she wants you to know this. She doesn't wear makeup because she has an oh-so-perfect complexion, and likes only simple clothes on her "perfect hourglass figure" (Quoting this btw). She doesn't "move with the times," and is not like women who have intercourse outside of marriage (which she does at the first opportunity! Wowie, what a hypocrite!) She's also soooo plain and not like all the other girls the love interest has dated. (Kill me).
Then. The Douchebag™ . Uses every chance he can get to remind us that he doesn't find Erin beautiful. She's very plain, and, well, not beautiful. (Again, I'm not exaggerating, this is just me quoting him) Also, he gets angry when Erin lies and says she wasn't a virgin before their encounter--despite being recognized as their small town's f-boy. He thinks this diminishes her as a person. (Need I say more?)
Finally, the writing was absolute dog water. Palmer has no writing bone in her body, and apparently, no editor on sight either (how do you mix up Annie and Erin's names several times and it end up in the final, published version? How ridiculous.) The dialogue--no, scratch that, EVERYTHING read as if it was written by an eleven year old, and the plot was God-awful. The ending was the perfectly terrible cherry on top.
Wyoming Proud by Diana Palmer is a readable, sort of cowboy romance, that has a different take on things that one normally finds in a romance. Ty Mosby is a very wealthy man, a businessman who builds things. He has a staff he trusts to take care of the details but he is very hands-on. Erin Mitchell was his sister’s best friend and a whiz at math so she did most of the bids. The one thing everyone but him knew was that Erin had been in love with him since she was thirteen. But, seeing him every day had become enough for her. Until, he asked her out. He was doing it to discourage a new assistant he had who seemed to be everywhere with her hands and her smile. He wanted her to think he was taken. Also, he liked Erin. Then after a pleasant evening, he asked her out again, to his home where he would cater a dinner for them. She was nervous, but his sister, Annie, her best friend, assured her she was safe with him. Well, neither of them were drinkers but this evening they both had wine and before long the inevitable happened. Embarrassed, the next morning she assured him that it had happened to her before and he shouldn’t take it too seriously.
They lost a big bid and to a company that was notorious for underbidding and shoddy workmanship and materials. Ty was beside himself. He had had dinner with the developer the night before and he man repeated some accusations that were beyond the pale. Now this. Who had leaked the bid? He hired an investigator to find out and it was Erin. He fired her. Well, to make a long story short, things with her father weren’t going well and after he died she went home to find out her house was being repossessed. He had mortgaged it and gambled away the money. She had to be out. This is turning into quite the mess. Erin was independent. She accepted help from Annie, but never for herself, only her father. She loved Ty and was 100% loyal, but he didn’t internalize that. Ty was an interesting guy: tough businessman but raised puppies and vetted their new owners very carefully. He loved them. It was safe to love them. Two really good characters. A convoluted but possible plot full of lies and intrigue. A good read.
I was invited to read a free e-ARC of Wyoming Proud by Harlequin Trade Publishing, through Netgalley. All thoughts and opinions are mine. #Netgalley #HarlequinTradePublishing #DianaPalmer #WyomingProud
For about a decade Diana Palmer has phoned in her books. Her hero has around two options: rich and arrogant or works hard but not rich but still arrogant. Job is either rancher, businessman or some type of lawman. Heroine is either dirt poor and loved by all or dirt poor and trying to raise a younger sibling or take care of sick family member. She also either has asthma or a heart condition. The storyline is one of about five options. Each book feels like she puts her options for the hero and heroine in a hat and picks an option. Then does the same for the storyline. That’s why they sound similar. She even has two different three legged wolves with the same name. I was confused at first because I thought it was the same wolf, but one is raised by a vet/environmentalist and other by older woodsman. This story has rich arrogant male with the sweet sister (as in several books). Best friends with the poor heroine, who is working hard for the brother. She’s secretly in love with her boss (more than 2/3 of her books). Her father is keeping her in the poor house plus diagnosed with cancer that is end stage by the time it’s diagnosed. Brother decides he wants to date her. This ends badly. Rest of the story happens in several of her books: huge misunderstandings, horrible treatment of heroine, she runs away to a cousin, there is a pregnancy, complications with pregnancy, sudden onset of mitral valve problems (I am glad Diana Palmer finally researched that valve issues are not always life threatening. Her other books had the heroines nearly dying.) Doesn’t matter how badly the heroine was treated, she forgives the hero after paragraph of “I’m sorry”. Did enjoy Beau. But made no sense for a man that raises German Shepherds to allow Beau to chew up everything.
Diana Palmer’s legion of fans are going to be completely bowled over by her latest entrancing contemporary romance, Wyoming Proud.
When Erianne Mitchell had clapped eyes on Ty Mosby, it had been love at first sight. A sizzling attraction had quickly ensued and Erianne had begun to hope that she could have a future with Ty – until a devastating mistake had cruelly wrenched them apart and left her with no other choice but to flee to Wyoming with a secret she daren’t reveal to anyone. Ty must never ever discover what she’s hiding and she fully intends to make a new life for herself and the child she is carrying.
Ty would do anything to wind the clock back and find Erianne and beg for her forgiveness. He knows what he’s lost and he is willing to do whatever it takes to be reunited with the woman who means the world to him. Winning back her trust is Ty’s number one priority, but when he finds her again, will Erianne be willing to forgive and forget? Is she ready to give their relationship another chance? Or will Erianne’s pride end up coming between her and Ty?
When fate deals them a hand that will draw them even closer than before, Ty and Erianne realize that they need to put their trust in one another and work together – or else risk losing everything.
With brilliantly drawn characters, a fast-moving plot, vivid descriptions of Wyoming and plenty of tension, emotion, drama, passion and sensuality, Wyoming Proud is a dazzling tale of second chances, irresistible desire and love lost and found from one of the best-loved voices in romantic fiction: Diana Palmer.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Diana Palmer brings us a story of Erin and Ty. Ty convinces Erin to go out with him so that her very persistent pursuer stops going after her. Devastating news keeps coming at Erin as she deals with her father. Life keeps throwing punches at her when she finds out news that will change her life and then she gets fired when Ty thinks she sold him out for money when she is wearing clothes she can't afford and her father was going around in a new car. Needing a change, she moves away to her cousin's to start over. News prompts Ty to start questioning everything he thought he knew. Because of what life keeps throwing at them, Erin and Ty must now make choices that will impact their lives. Will they be brave enough to take those chances, or have the past events hurt them too much to even try?
Diana Palmer brings us a story of love, friendship, and family. She shares with us what life can throw at us, and what we might do in the face of fear and hurt. Each decision they make has consequences that keep affecting them and those around them. Will they be able to weather the storms and work together to get through them, or will their past hurts just get in the way? I enjoyed reading Erin and Ty's story with its twists and turns. Wanting to see what happens next keeps you turning the page.
I have read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I would like to thank NetGalley and Harlequin Trade Publishing, Canary Street Press for this privilege.
I used to read a lot of Diana Palmer’s books back in the day. It all started because I was giddy that we shared a last name, only to find out later hers was a penname, which made me a bit sad. (In my defense, I was a good bit younger when I first found her books.) Needless to say, I was more than happy when I was offered the chance to read this one early, thanks to the publisher and NetGalley.
To say this is a very character-driven novel is an understatement. Ms. Palmer spends a good bit of time building the backstory between the main characters as well as who they are at the beginning of the story’s timeline. Erin is the character you laugh with, cry with, and cheer for. Ty is the big jerk you love to hate. There’s a lot of angst in this book, and it’s definitely an emotional rollercoaster, so if that’s not something you enjoy in your romance books, this isn’t the one for you. That said, of course, it’s incredibly well-written as it’s a Diana Palmer book, after all. My only gripe was I felt that the ending was very rushed. I wanted to watch Ty suffer and grovel a bit more than he did. All in all, it’s a very entertaining read. Now, if you need me, I’ll be buried under this author’s backlist, trying to make up for all I’ve missed of hers for the last few years!
Wyoming Proud is the story of Ty and Erin. Erin has always been in love with Ty, her best friend's older brother, but Ty has never seen her as a romantic interest. Despite that, she has always remained in his periphery and even works for him as a cost estimator. Ty asks her out on a date, but she believes it's to put off an aggressive employee who has been pursuing him. Erin has not had an easy life since her mom died a few years before. Her father hasn't been able to maintain steady work and is not careful with money, landing them in debt many times. Her life takes a turn for the worse with several different events all colliding to force Erin to leave town and forge a life somewhere else.
At the beginning of the book, I felt some of those old school Diana Palmer vibes coming from this story and was really excited for what was to come. However, forty percent of the story takes place with Ty and Erin separated, and instead of an alpha, bulldozer hero like I usually love from this author, we get a hero who doesn't seem to ever take matters into his own hands. I loved aspects of this story and the characters, but other aspects didn't come together for me as I had hoped.
This was your typical Diana Palmer set-up - Older man who plays around and sweet virginal girl who has nothing except tragic circumstances. Said older man of course is a total judgmental a**hole, and is totally unable to just communicate. What I did like was that Erin ( heroine) actually stood up for herself. There just does not seem to be a willingness to communicate with Ms. Palmer's characters until the last chapter. There is also a lot of repetition in telling actions over and over again. Also, things are brought up that never move the story forward (ie. - a health condition).
All these inconsistences and yet I still enjoyed the book. But, I also know what I am getting into when I read a Diana Palmer book.
Erianne's loved Ty since she was just thirteen But though she works for him, she never feels seen. She's his sister's best friend and hard working, too. When the attraction builds what should they do?
One night changes everything for these two. A night of passion followed by a shocking discovery, too. With grief, rejection, distrust and loss She ends up losing her home, her job and her boss.
With anger and revenge in Ty's mind He's determined, cruel and unkind. Erianne flees to her cousin's ranch to stay Can Ty ever win back her trust some day?
A story with friendship, betrayal and trust issues, too, With possible romance and heartbreak running through. For my complementary copy, I say thank you, As I share with you this, my honest review.
Erianne Mitchell has not had an easy life. Her mother passed away and she lives with her irresponsible father. Erianne works for Ty. She has been in love with him for years. He has never noticed. She is just his sister's friend. Ty Mosby is not looking for a relationship. He is feeling the effects of being taken advantage by a woman. Ty decides to date Erianne to deflect the advances of a woman in the office. Erianne gets accused of aiding a competitor in getting an account and Ty fires her. Erianne gets and new job and Ty gets her fired from that job. Erianne moves to live with a distance relative named Maude. Once Erianne is gone, Ty realizes he feels more for her than he realized. This was a great read.
I enjoy Diana Palmer's books and this one was really good. I enjoy the way she brings the characters alive in the stories. She has an amazing way of allowing the reader to feel all of the emotions that the characters feel. This book is a part of a series but you don't have to read all of the b00ks in the series to enjoy this one. Erin has had a crush on Ty forever and they finally get together only to have secrets come between them and tear them apart. Ty realizes too late that he made a mistake and tries to win Erin back. If you enjoy westerns and second chances you will enjoy this book.
Thank you to NetGalley for an Advanced Reader Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I can’t really rate this book. It’s prob a 2 star review, but that’s unfair because time and time again I pick up Palmer’s books knowing what I’m getting into and still read them 😂
Is there good dialogue? No Are the characters lovable? No Is the plot predictable? Very Is the trope lame ? Always Is the leading man hot and rich? Duh Is the leading lady a destitute virgin? Double duh Does everything work out magically? Of course Do the characters actions make sense? Eh…. Usually no Is the leading toxic yet sexy? Yes
Why do I still read these books? No clue. But I finished it in one sitting, enjoyed it, then wondered why I enjoyed it. And you know what? I’m gonna read the next one. And you should too.
Wyoming Proud by Diana Palmer is a captivating addition to the Wyoming Men series. The story follows Erianne Mitchell, a businesswoman who has long harbored feelings for entrepreneur Ty Mosby. Their whirlwind romance takes a sudden turn when Ty believes Erianne has betrayed him in a business deal. Devastated, Erianne flees to Wyoming, carrying a secret that could change everything.
Palmer masterfully weaves themes of love, trust, and second chances, creating a narrative that is both heartwarming and emotionally charged. The chemistry between Erianne and Ty is palpable, and their journey toward reconciliation is both tender and compelling.
For fans of contemporary romance with a touch of drama and redemption, Wyoming Proud offers a satisfying and enjoyable read.
I had to stop reading about 100 pages in. The double standard between Erianne and Ty was so egregious, I was grossed out reading it. I think we are supposed to like Ty, he is the love interest, but he is way to (Wyoming) Proud. He thinks he takes her virginity and then is mad and cold to to her because she implies he didn't. Only out of embarrassment does she imply that but even so, it is wild.
There are also some editing issues and the writing style is not for me. Sentences are very short, to the point my reading didn't flow.
I read love stories and romance to warm my heart and feel good. Not to feel second hand shame.
Someone really needs to fire the copy editor of this book. So many stupid errors with wrong names and inconsistent back story. It was typical formulaic Palmer. Misunderstanding caused by the male main character being burned before by a money hungry woman. Although this time even Palmer couldn't keep the backstory consistent. Was it five or was it six years ago he was hurt? Did she have money or was she wanting his money? Overall, my enjoyment of the story was corrupted by the poor copy editing and inconsistent details.
