Bangers & Mash #3

New Alpha on the Block

Rate this book
A first-time alpha and an experienced omega are a recipe for one beautiful, steamy disaster…

Justin

It’s my first ever heat call as an Emergency Support Alpha, and I couldn’t be more excited! I’ve been training for this, and I can totally do it. But when I show up at the client’s house to find a frazzled, single father with three kids under the age of five about to go into heat and a possessive ex in the mix? Well, I might just panic a little.

No one ever warned me calls could be so complicated, or that single fathers could be so sizzling.

Kyle

I already have three children. I don’t need one more. Not as a result of heat, and not in the form of the newbie alpha who showed up at my door in the middle of chaos, looking hot as Hades, but with absolutely no clue whatsoever. I hired Bangers & Mash for a stress-free heat, but what I’ve ended up with is a cinnamon roll alpha who gives me all the inconvenient feels…and a vindictive ex who might just ruin my life because of it.

Is Justin the missing piece in the family I’ve always longed for, or is he the excuse my ex needs to take everything I love away from me?

New Alpha on the Block is a stand-alone in the Bangers & Mash series, and contains epic, unexpected enthusiasm, toys everywhere, recaptured youth, a surprise wedding, and a last-minute revelation that could blow the whole thing out of the water.

However, PLEASE NOTE – No omegas are impregnated in the course of this story, although it does happen in this universe, and there is no shifting in this world.

“It hit me that I had Mr. Fucking Alpha Sunshine and Rainbows here to fuck me out of my mind for the next few days. And I liked it.”

Another yummy and fluffy installment in the Bangers & Mash series.
Adorable characters and hot heat smut make this a nice, quick and pleasantly fun read.

The best part, and also what has me continuously coming back to the wonderful world of omegaverse, is the sweet caretaking and love between the characters, terrifically heartwarming and just makes me oh so gooey inside.

The couple work well together but overall I thought this was too rushed. Also, no idea what I was thinking when I a) picked this up as a freebie, and b) decided to read it after all, because this has several elements that usually aren't for me. Namely: kids (3 of them), and an Evil Ex.

The kids were more present in this than I was expecting. They were sweet and it was nice to see Justin getting comfortable with them, especially in contrast with the Evil Ex. I did appreciate how they weren't perfect little angels, in fact there are tears and tantrums which made it more realistic.

Kyle was understandably a bit bitter about having been forced to have 3 children by his ex but it took a bit to warm up to him. Justin was a big puppy, likeable but without much depth.

I found the main conflict to be quite a letdown. I can't really say anything without spoiling the entire plot so for those curious: the Evil Ex . And that's it, no comeuppance whatsoever.

You know one thing I love about fiction? Violent revenge that I can't get in legal trouble for. It was sorely lacking here.

Best one yet

This is hands down the most well-rounded narrative in this series so far, without any annoying side characters or misplaced plot threads.

I liked both characters, I liked the fact Justin was younger than his omega client Kyle. The kids were cute and acted like their ages, not some mini adults.

Kyle's ex was a *** but I liked Nancy and Gail, his ex's parents, and I liked Justin's sister and her family.

The dirty talk and use of the typical omegaverse trait of omegas going into some mini sex-desperate slavish behaviour wasn't as overdone here either.

I really loved this one, I don't know if I can explain why though. Maybe it's just how much I identified with Kyle as a single parent which I was for a long time. Idk but I loved both Justin and Kyle, and I enjoyed this so much.

I had to subtract a few stars for Kyle but then had too add some for Justin, so I guess, here we are.
Kyle was so annoying at the beginning, that I wanted to dnf this book multiple times. I'm glad I didn't, but wow I disliked him instantly. Sure he got better after a while but I didn't warm up to him. Justin on the other hand was amazing!! He doesn't deserve a 3 star rating, he deserves 5.
This book stressed me, not the whole time but quite a bit. The kids stressed me (not the kids fault, just 3 little kids close in age), their money issues stressed me, the school issues stressed me, the ex issues stressed me, their house issues stressed me, it was just stressful. Justin's sweetness calmed me down though. His speech was so sweet! Kyle you are one lucky man!
I would have rated this book 3.5 stars and would have rounded up. But we didn't get an epilogue, which the book kinda needed, so I guess it's more of a 3 star book for me.

Characters: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Justin was likable. There wasn’t anything wrong with him, we just didn’t get to know him well enough to really be attached to him.
Kyle was annoying and whiney and always a victim. Yes, his life sucked because he was basically trapped as a slave for Aaron, and I would be worn the hell out too, but he was just so bitter and jaded. I also thought it was odd how at the end they made it out like he never wanted to take charity from anyone and never had anyone to rely on… when he lived in a big, nice house and Nancy and Gail had supported him emotionally and through childcare for years. Other than biology in the omegaverse, I don’t know why Justin fell so hard for him. He was rude at the beginning, only good while I’m heat, and then pushed Justin away afterwards.

Character development: ⭐️
It was short and rushed and there was insta-love. The only relationship development was during the week of Kyle’s heat, which really is not the time or place to get to know someone.

Justin is an Emergency Support Alpha (ESA) for a program that supplies alphas for an omegas heat. Kyle is Justin’s first unsupervised (straight out of training) client. When Justin shows up at Kyle’s house, he finds an exhausted Kyle with three kids under the age of 5. Apparently Kyle’s ex had taken advantage of him during his previous heats, and intentionally gotten him pregnant, against his wishes, during each one. Because of this, Kyle is a college drop out with no job, no education, and no one to help raise the kids. Since he doesn’t want to be knocked up again by Aaron, he hires Justin for his upcoming heat.
The day before the heat starts, since the kids are being watched by Aaron’s mom, Justin helps Kyle clean up his house and listens to him bitch about his unfair situation. That night, the heat starts, and so does the sex. After the heat ends, Aaron comes over, finds Justin there with Kyle, and loses his shit in a jealous rage. He threatens Kyle with taking away the children, and claims that he owns the house Kyle is living in, so will take that too. Justin wants to help Kyle keep his kids, so comes up with a genius plan of getting married (because apparently married omegas have a better chance of winning a custody suit). They get married the next day, against all better judgement. The next day, Aaron’s mom, Nancy, comes over and they learn that Nancy is the actual owner of the house and has been bankrolling Kyle, not Aaron. So there really was no reason to get married in the first place. Kyle panics, thinking he’s trapped Justin in an undesirable situation, and sends him away for the night to think about what he wants to do next. Justin immediately comes back with all his belongings, claiming his love for Kyle and desire to be with him forever. They live happily ever after.

Plot: ⭐️⭐️
I feel like it had potential (as all omegaverse stories do I’m my pov) but it just wasn’t good. It was kinda messy and rushed and just weird overall.

Writing: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
The writing itself was fine, but it also didn’t contribute to a good plot or holding my attention.

Tropes: omegaverse, mm, insta-love

DNF at 62%. The storyline had potential to make a really cute, spicy and endearing book but the execution was not it. I just got tired of reading the same thoughts over and over again about how Kyle was frustrated and resentful towards Justin because he is young and has a bright future ahead of him while he was tricked into getting pregnant three times in a row by the same man which, I have to admit, really sounds like a nightmare and will make anyone bitter, it kind of desensitizes you to the whole situation.

Also, reading about three kids causing mayhem, crying and throwing fits at all times stressed me out so much.

New Alpha on the Block is the third book in the ‘Bangers and Mash’ series. It stars Justin, an ESA Alpha, and Kyle, omega with three children. This is told in first person from Justin and Kyle’s povs.

First the cover. I think that’s supposed to be Justin on the cover. I like the cover, but I think the cover model looks too old to be Justin. I think he’s twenty or twenty-one and the model looks about twenty-seven. Anyway, the cover is keeping in style with the other covers in the series.

The blurb does a good job of describing the plot so I won’t go into it much. It was an emotionally intense plot, mostly because a lot of the tension and stress was from Kyle’s pov. He had three young kids, he was in the beginning of his heat, and he was stressing out that his ex would find out he was in heat and would show up. Too top it off, when Justin arrived, Kyle couldn’t believe how young he was and as they talked, that it was the first solo heat that Justin had assisted. I didn’t want to put the book down; it was so intense.

Justin was a sweetheart. Maybe because he was so young and new to being an ESA, or because he had such a privileged life. He wanted to help Kyle in any way possible. He didn’t always do the right thing at first, but Justin’s willingness to help Kyle with the kids, housework, and Justin’s absolute consideration for Kyle during heat won Kyle over. I loved Justin’s character, he looked at the world through rose-tinted glasses and wanted to do whatever it took to protect Kyle and the kids.

Kyle was older than Justin by about three years. Because of his hard life, he also had a lot more life experience. That was why Kyle had a negative reaction when Justin arrived. Kyle’s terrible ex-boyfriend was the reason for Kyle’s hard life. Kyle had ambitions to go to college and have a career, but it all came to an end when he got pregnant. The ex would stop by for Kyle’s heats, and since omegas are out of control during their heats, the ex put aside the birth control to get Kyle knocked up and tied to him. He did it three times against Kyle’s wishes, and that’s why Kyle hired an ESA for his upcoming heat. He didn’t want another child. Kyle was a bossy bottom, but Justin didn’t mind, he liked it. Kyle and Justin were well suited in the bedroom and outside it as well. I could totally believe in the two as a couple.

The author did a great job of creating distinct characters with distinct voices, that includes the secondary characters. The one character I had a problem with was Nancy, the Alpha mother of Kyle’s ex. She was helpful sometimes, but came across as clueless on how her son treated Kyle, like she didn’t take it seriously or that she took it for granted that since Kyle was an omega, he should stay home and take care of kids even though her son almost never showed up except for Kyle’s heats, and verbally, emotionally, and mentally abused Kyle. I didn’t like Nancy for that reason.

I liked New Alpha on the Block. I liked the emotional intensity, and Kyle and Justin were a great couple. I recommend this book and will continue reading the other stories in this series. I give this, 4 Stars.

i want to preface this by saying that i never rate a book i dnf. But this series... God, stop preaching. Like are we back in the Sunday Church again? Are we back in the pulpits? Again?? Oh no...

Listen, this is an mf author who predominantly writes mf stories. But in the name of checks note.. gay "omegaverse" this is basically a straight couple's story but just changing the female lead with a male one (and give him a dick down the line to really make the point across) And preaching and preaching only. Atp, just pick up an mf book. i assure you, you will not miss a thing.

And the whole thing seems so disingenuous & just plain sexist like, instead of two men, what you essentially get is an "omega" (read woman in a man's body) and an "alpha" (read a man). The omega is nothing but a standin. The kicker is, there are women in this world so you can clearly raise the issues using them but no!! the point would absolutely still stand. But NO. It not only takes away from the issues women face, but it also forces the gender roles in an otherwise gay genre by taking away the omega's voice. Look, mpreg is already a hetnorm stuff. But the omegaverse does it keeping the men in mind. This ain't it.

Kyle's character is basically a single mother of 3, abused by the husband (it says ex but it never read like that cuz he lives in that guy's house, and refers to him as husband). He's not a man at all. There's no individuality in him. i got so confused... am i reading a gay story? Is this really a man? So much mystery.

And the constant anti-natalist vibe i got from page 1 itself, was enough to make me feel icky, but i shamelessly drudged forward thinking it was a one off. Nope. Having kids/pregnancy is entirely blamed for ruining the women's er... sorry i mean the omegas' lives. So much so that Kyle has to keep reminding that he loves his kids dearly. i see the whole "birthing machine" issue in omegaverse books, don't like it, but i do get it. But this discussion can be had in much better ways, see Liam Kingsley's books or Samantha Cayto's.

It's almost as if concepts like family planning, day care/ family figures, balancing home life with work life.. just don't exist. 😬 Yikes. And this book's supposed to school you on that, remember? Also the book series is about safe sex!! There's even NO mpreg in this shitty series except for 1. God only knows what goes on in there. Why, why would you involve so much politics into a fantasy book??

This has one of my fav thing - womb sex. But no amount of smut can make me go through this atrocity. NOPE.

I absolutely adore this story
Justin was going on his first solo emergency support alpha. He worked for bangers and mash who helped Omega’s get through their heat. Justin done well in his training and he was on a scholarship to train as a lawyer. But his first callout was to a omega called Kyle. When he got to the house he was in for a bit of a shock because he didn’t realise Kyle had three children. Hence the reason to call an alpha who could promise he wouldn’t get him pregnant. It was plain to see that Kyle thought he was too young to take on the job. As Justin was just 20 but he was approaching his heat and he needed Justin as a guide to help him through. Thankfully the children's grandma comes to collect them. After Kyle and Justin talk a little bit longer it is plain to see that they have chemistry. And the first night of Kyles heat is just out of this world for both of them. In fact the next couple of days are just not what both of them expected. The passion is off the charts the chemistry the connection the tenderness it was just phenomenal. Kyles has been hurt in the past. His ex alpha the children’s father impregnating him against his will. He made it clear he didn’t want to get pregnant but Aaron didn’t care he wanted to trap him and he made sure every heat he had Aaron made sure to get him pregnant. Kyle was a fantastic father and Justin took to the kid straight away but as their time came to an end and it was time for Justin to leave they both found the pull too much. Could there be a future for these two??
Firstly let me say there’s a lot more to the story that I have outlined above you’ve got an ex he doesn’t want to give up his rights making things difficult but this story is about Justin and Kyle and their three amazing children. Justin and Kyle hit it off well nearly straight well and it just flows from there I really enjoyed the story and I couldn’t put this book down. There was something really special about Justin for such a young man he was a true alpha. He knew the beauty of a family he knew how to care for an omega he was the full package even at the age of 20. And Kyle bless his heart wanted him but he had so many doubts but deep down he wanted Justin. Just a brilliant story I think I find myself reading this book again. Can’t wait for the next book in the series.

I can't remember if I found this book on a recommendation email from one of my favorite authors or on a recommendation post from one of my author fan pages on Facebook or on Facebook as an add. Either way, it grabbed my attention. Here's M.M. Farmer's Bangers & Mash series. The third novel is "New Alpha On The Block."

This book felt so rounded out and even, something the last two books lacked a little. It wasn't too angsty or too fluffy or too quick or too trigger-warning-y. It was balanced and perfect.

The kids were adorable and Justin loved them from the start. Kyle loved him from the start. It was hard for both of them (again, get your minds out of the gutter people), but they made it work. Sure, they were a little hasty about things, but in the end, they were exactly where they were supposed to be: happy and in love and together, ready to figure out the details (together).

Trigger Warnings: forced impregnation, spousal rape, blackmail, threats, and more

I loved this one so much. I felt Kyle to my very core. I absolutely cannot imagine the position he was put in with his piece of shit alpha. Yes, he whined a lot, and that's why I put it down to 4.5 stars, but holy shit, he was so overwhelmed with life, he had no one to help, and he was too busy to even stop and assess what he needed to do to figure everything out. It's like when you're so busy and so depressed that you can't even pay bills. I felt that so much. He needed help, and I adored Justin from the first minute he showed up and held Emmett. Gosh, he was such a great partner for Kyle.

I was annoyed that Kyle kept harping on Justin's age since they were only 3 years apart, but I guess Kyle felt a lot older than he really was. I'm glad he finally realized that they were more compatible than he thought. Justin brought out the inner child in Kyle while Kyle helped Justin find his place in life.

I’d had my youth stolen from me by one alpha, but another was handing it back to me with every soft look he gave me and every firm touch.

Their chemistry was so insane! Daaaaamn. I also loved Justin's alpha coming out when the ex started showing up. So, the ex. Ugh. I'm learning that M.M. Farmer loves writing characters that are absolutely ridiculous and over the top, so I am just going with it at this point. Yes, he was a total asshole and waaaaaay too much, and his mom should have done a whole lot more than she did. But it made Justin become a lot more protective of Kyle and the kids, so it worked in this story.

If something was the matter with my baby, if my baby was in danger of any kind, I would tear the world apart to find him and keep him safe.

psst, that wasn't even his biological baby, I mean come on 🥵

Overall, this one is my favorite of the series, solely because of their relationship and the storyline.

Justin has trained as an Emergency Support Alpha and has done two supervised heat calls and now this is his first one on his own. When he arrives at the client's house he finds a totally frazzled single father of three kids under the age of five about to go into his own heat and there is also a possessive ex to handle too. No one warned him that calls could be this complicated or that single fathers could be so amazing. Kyle has three children and does not need anymore and so wanted to use an ESA but the young hot alpha shows up in a house in chaos and looking clueless. Is Justin the missing piece in a family that Kyle always longed for or a reason for his ex to take everything away?

This was a different twist on the usual B&M story but it didn't feel quite right because of the way Justin fumbled everything at first and was asleep when Kyle had predicted his heat would start. I did love their connection and the way that Justin just buckled down to help to tidy the house, care for the children and knew he had to find a solution to the treats to Kyle and the children. The surprises and revelations were definitely unexpected. Easy to read and understand. This is an MM story with mature content and is set in the Omegaverse.

It's not age gap, it's life experience gap
It's been a very long time since I read a mpreg story. I was on Tumblr in the early 2000's, I've read fan fiction, I read not a small amount of monster/alien smut, it shouldn't have weirded me out as much as it did. After I got past that the other thing that sort of bothered me as the talk of the alpha's age. Justin was 20 and I get that that's young especially compared to the amount of growing up Kyle had to do very quickly raising 3 kids under 5 by himself, but there's only 5 years between them. The way they kept going on about it you would have thought that Kyle was 40 not 25.

NEW ALPHA ON THE BLOCK
Merry Farmer
I'm sooo loving this series.
Justin (introduced early on in book one) finally has his story.
Justin is such a sweet kid and I loved this young alpha from the start.
He was so proud and excited to be trusted to go out on his first call, but man, did he get thrown in the deep end with this one. Lol.
He arrives in the midst of utter chaos as his single dad client, frazzled and irritable, is trying to wrangle his 3 little kids. Adding insult to injury, the omega seems alarmed and disappointed to find the alpha he's hired is hardly more than a kid himself.

I'm not going to spoil this by expounding on the details, but this book is wonderful.
This one is slightly less fluffy than the first two books, in that there is some real drama and corresponding angst afoot, but the story is beautifully plotted and everyone is happy in the end.
Well done.
I recommend this book wholeheartedly, as well as the entire series.
(all books are standalone with references to and brief appearances /mentions of prior characters.)

It's not over. This is so deliciously hawt! Justin, just got credentialed as an Emergency Support Alpha. He is ready to do his duty and he has first day on the job, jitters. The ESA provided a safe sanctioned services to Omegas going into heat that helped them retain their dignity in an uncontrollable situation. Justin's introduction to Kylewas chaotic and hilarious. The kids, Andy, Maddie and Everett, were unhappy, Kyle was irritable on top of Justin's nerves. Good thing, they were attracted to each other. Nancy, Aaron's Mom was babysitting her grandchildren while Kyle was heat involved. Justin was first timer insecure, Kyle had a problem with Justin's age. Justin is 5 yeas younger than Kyle. This is a run story of pre-heat, heat and post-heat relationships and conflicts. Do the kids catch feels for Justin? Does Justin catch feels for the kids? What happens when Kyle's heat is over? Does Aaron really walk away from his adorable kids? Good story. Kyle and Justin are delish! The extended family is supportive and adorable. Well done! One thing that sets MM Farmer apart from other writers of omegaverse books: social justice.

Justin, an alpha, has been hired and trained to take consenting omegas through heat in a professional manner. He goes on his first call without supervision and runs into trouble.

Kyle, an omega, has three kids (from his last three heats) and doesn't want to get pregnant again. His ex, who is the kids' father, got him pregnant without his consent each time.

The scenarios, attitudes, and behaviors portrayed in this story are written with an eye for real-life abuse situations. The characters are well-rounded, while staying true to their roles in the plot. MM Farmer gives power to the abused omega, while showing that the abuser can (in this case) be confronted and change his behavior.

However, the book ends on a wildly hilarious note, with help coming from the least-expected places and in the least-expected forms!.

This was another good addition to this series, I have enjoyed all of them including this one! The characters were great, I adored the interactions between Justin and the kids. Those moments were so adorable.

The reason I didn't give this a 5 star is because this one didn't seem as in depth as the previous ones have been. Yes, things have progressed fast in all of these books but I felt like things were rushed in this one. But! Merry knows how to write characters that you can't help but cheer for.

I was hoping that things would get better for Kyle, it's so sad all of the things that we went through. I'm glad he found someone that treats him and his kids right. I'm really looking forward to the upcoming holiday one! I hope that there are arcs available for it.

Overall I really recommend reading this, it is a standalone. I would suggest that you read this whole series though cause it's so good!

I didn't expect to read Justin's book or at least so soon cause he's so young, it made it a little difficult to see him as a capable alpha but that did work to how his relationship starts with Kyle.

From then on I'm a little torn cause the book itself is good. There's an interesting plot, drama, the slow build of a relationship while also in a very short overemotional period of time. Characters are good from the kids to the alphahole... but at one point in the story I begun to heavily question the characters actions and was waiting for their decisions to make sense but that never came.

Despite how rash they do things it works out in the end but so unnecessarily hecked up. The thing is I understand why the characters would do what they did but I don't like that they did it. So I'm unsure how biased I am being with this book.

I'm gonna give it a 3.5 (4) stars considering that is well written and very interesting romantic story. I might change my opinion in the future but I think 3.5 is good for now.

I got this from stuff your kindle day /romance reads and it was only book 3 so I just jumped I got the story line here. Now after reading curious as to what the first two storylines are about, not enough to read them, but maybe the blurb as this reads very much like a stand alone.

I’m just starting to read a bit of Alpha/omega verse storylines but this definitely was not for me. While I’ll never be one to say to much spice there just wasn’t a lot besides that.

It would be unfair to say there was not a plot. There is a plot, however it’s dragged out, more then 50% in only two locations had even mean mentioned so you can imagine there wasn’t a lot of plot advance where the major of the story is still inside the one MCs house . There was very little character development. Justin more so than Kyle.

I almost DNF’d it twice but I didn’t and I think I’m more or less disappointed because the bones of the plot line were pretty good.

This was the kind of cuteness that I've come to expect from this series and I like it. The worldbuilding around heats, including how society treats them and the biology of them is really interesting.

What stood out for me in this story was actually the three children. Unlike in many romances where the children are absolute angels or they conveniently go off for key moments of the story (like when the MCs are having a conversation) these kids stayed on the page and behaved exactly the way kids do. It was so refreshing!

The biggest flaw for me was the absolute anger I felt towards the ex-boyfriend who was literally abusive to Kyle. What made it worse was the fact that his mum was a decent person and helped out, but she couldn't understand how her precious son could behave so badly to anybody, despite the fact that she physically, emotionally and financially enables him at every turn. That wasn't resolved satisfactorily for me.

MM Farmer has done a great job to make the stories in this series very different even though they essentially start out with the same premise. I have been enjoying reading these stories about a company that hires out trained alphas to help omegas through their heats. This book has 21 year old alpha Justin out on his first solo call to help Kyle who is a 26 year old omega who already has 3 kids. Ms. Farmer ads lots of fun complications that then need solving which happens with lots of fun and love. These books are all independent of one another even if they are based around the same business. Ultimately though through all of Ms. Farmer’s work the story is ultimately about love and family which is a lovely thing to read about.

3.5/5 ⭐
3/5 🌶️

**Tropes**
- Omegaverse w/Mpreg
- Older/Younger
- Single Dad
- Heat service
- Grumpy x Sunshine

📖 **My Thoughts**
I got this free from the Stuff Your Kindle event, and I'd say for a free book it's quite good. Our Omega MMC is a father of three children under 6, and his last three heats his shitty ex got him pregnant against his will. So he calls a heat service this time and in comes adorable Alpha MMC who is a whole six years younger and the sunshine to our Omega's grump. It was honestly adorable reading how these two interact. The kids are present, but not really characters in their own right. There's spice, and fluff, and an HEA and I enjoyed reading it.

⚠️ **Triggers**
- Lying & Manipulation (Not by MMC)
- Unwillingly Impregnated (Not by MMC)
- Toxic Relationship (Not MMCs)

**Representation**
This is M/M Omegaverse, so there's LGBTQ rep, but it's omegaverse slanted.

🌶️ **Spice**
The spice is fairly standard. Omega in heat, knotting, breeding talk. The dirty talk can be a bit jarring, and some of the descriptions were not it for me, but overall it was decent and there was plenty of it.

A Well Rounded Family

In this one, young and new ESA for Bangers and Mash - Justin - is on his first unsupervised call and walks into the complete chaos of finding older omega Kyle balancing three children.
He's a single father juggling so much responsibility and has an arrogant alpha ex who thinks he owns his heat, getting him pregnant and leaving him to it.
Which is why this time it's an ESA.
Surprisingly Justin adapts quickly with the kids who their Granny Nancy takes off to look after.
It isn't long before the heat starts, sparks fly, and Justin is enamored of the whole family.
This one was great, especially as the exploration of single parent families and the law is valid in real life.
Also Justin is incredibly caring and the way everything seems to go out of control is hilarious in retrospect.
A big hug of a book.

This book was pretty sweet, but I’m noting a trend with this author – she has a character that does awful things that is basically shrugged off. This is a pretend world – all I ask is that in my pretend world characters actually get what is coming to them. The evil ex (who has the nicest parents ever so I’m not sure how he became such an ass) forced pregnancy on Kyle THREE separate times, never sees his kids, doesn’t support the kids (you don’t know till the end that it’s his parents paying for everything though) and threatens Kyle but in the end everything is okay because his parents had a talk with him & now he’s playing with the kids outside and will financially support the kids with his own. That’s it? Way to brush what is essentially domestical abuse under the rug.

On a side note, in book one you learn that an Omega can go on birth control and Kyle never does this? You’d think after the first unplanned pregnancy you’d think Kyle would wise up.

New Alpha on the Block is a well written story that takes your nerves and heart on a ride of ups and downs that grabs you with each turn of the page.

Kyle is a single omega dad of three and is about to enter his heat. Not wanting to deal with his ex, he reached out to Bangers and Mash. Justin is a new Alpa, his job with Kyle is his first sole job. Meeting Kyle, he is taken by his kids and finds that his heart goes out to Kyle as he realizes the position, he is in.

The developing feeling Kyle and Justin, the threats he faces from his ex, the support from family as well as the judgement wraps this tale into a journey that is well written and easily to get lost in.

A ready made family!

There were so many wonderful things about this story what I like the most is reading about someone that falls in love with someone that already has children, and is not afraid to embrace that situation and love that person as well as their children as their own that’s really beautiful and it doesn’t happen very often the only thing that I would add to the story if I could add, anything would be just a little bit more detail, maybe an epilogue to show us kind of where they ended up in the future I know they spoke of the future a little bit in the story you’ll see if you read the story which I hope you do but it would have been nice to know where they are five years from now something like that because it was such a beautiful story. ❤️❤️
