The value of this book by Cynthia A. Ray varies depending on who you are. If you are an evangelical Christian, this book by a homeschooling mom will be a five-star read for you. Each chapter begins with a Bible verse, ends with a prayer and some journaling, and frequently makes Christian references.

If you are an atheist, you will find this book an abomination.

For the rest of us, the explanatory part of this 155-page book could have been improved by editing it to half its size. That’s not to say that I didn’t learn things; it’s just that Ray is a bit longwinded. And the recipes are just OK. But hey! It was free, so I can’t really complain.

I am presently doing the 21 day sugar detox. Love the breakfasts especially the chai pudding. Am eating more avocado and find it is very filling. I know you shouldn't eat bread on this detox. But I do have sourdough rye bread from time-to-time. This is my only variation, so I don't feel bad about it. I enjoy the apple cider drink in the morning, has a real zest to it.
One big benefit is that my sinus condition has decreased tremendously and I can breathe easier. I believe this is related to cutting out dairy. I am now using coconut and almond milk instead.
Very helpful book.

I found that the book left a lot to be surmised. Part of it was helpful. For me it didn’t work.
