Fei Shen is my favourite out of Mashiro’s suitors, so I was made a very happy woman with all the focus on him.

I like that their affection for each other grew this volume in a really sweet way.

The steam factor did not disappoint at all!!

Sometimes the stylized art kinda grates on my nerves LOL. The anatomy and proportions makes me scratch my head and wonder what’s going on.

I’ll be back for the next volume.

This one wasn't my favorite installment thus far, BUT I appreciate the plot progression, and I still like how this story seems to be getting darker and darker as we go on. The doctor is definitely up to something ..nefarious to say the least. And this god of death who seems to be controlling the gods of misfortune... okay spooky???? I hope this plot continues to get deeper and deeper as we go on. AND I still love all four men, even prince Alfred's cry baby ass :')

In true Beauty and the Beast fashion, Mashiro continues to tame the hearts of the men around her. As for those men, with the exception of Alfred, whom the text correctly describes as having the innocence of a giant puppy, they seem to have a greater agenda. I don't think those agendas are necssarily malicious, but certainly political, and I'm intrigued to see how romance may alter these goals. However, the doctor's goals certainly seem cruel and self-serving, though I'm curious what her endgame may be. I continue to enjoy this, and am looking forward to more.

I don't love the way the Doctor Eve character is turning out. We don't really know her ulterior motive yet, but she's so OTTP evil. Alfred continues to annoy me and probably will always because he's such a operatic whiner. Still loving the found family aspect with Yolda and Hilda, and Mashiro is starting to get a handle on herself...as much as this character is probably going to be able to. I'm not into the apathetic god trope that is Fei Shan, but tbh I'll take anything over Alfred so this could've gone worse. The most spicy of the volumes thus far, while still weaving in some worldbuilding and plot.

It finally happened in this novel. I kinda thought her first time would be with Noah, since she's crushing on him big time. It was consensual, which is the bare minimum, but she leveraged it to save people from the God of Destruction so I'll commend Mashiro for that. She seems to be coming into her own a little more now, and I think that that may be because of her two female attendants. The doctor is super weird and I really don't trust her one bit.

Fei Shan is not my fave but I’m still intrigued! I have theories about the doctor lady and I’m really looking forward to seeing if I’m right or not. While I wish things here were more detailed like in some other NSFW manga I’ve read the sexy scenes still make my jaw drop and make me grin

endgame really still seems to be noel. I cannot figure out where to pin that doctor - she's gotta be bad...but she also sticks up for mashiro in some situations. I am not very fond of fei shen, but he definitely is softening a bit...the spicy scene after he fought the gods of misfortune was trending towards non-con, but mashiro begins to clearly and more enthusiastically consent to things.

overall, still very much dub-con, but I'm enjoying it a bit more as the male celestials become less selfish and aggressive.

fei shen might be my fave guy and i love seeing him and mashiro affection grow from lust to feelings starting to develop.
alfred is a golden retriever and i love him for it as he’s the only one who didn’t seem to have an alternative motive with mashiro, however now the other love interests seem to be developing the same feelings.
the doctor lady i do not trust and i want to find out more about her motives.
i’m exited for the next volume to come out

I’ve realized this series is just not for me.

I like smut but I want some semblance of plot. I’d also like the characters not to be so one dimensional. Alas I think I’m finally gonna call it quits.
