In Book Two of In Times to Come, Alan Carson’s return to the cave where his strange journey began resulted in his separation from the only friend he had in the bleak future into which he’d arrived.
Now, Alan has found Sierra Timms once more after a second passage through the portal within, but things are hardly better just two years prior to when they met before.
Will Alan’s second journey through time disrupt a future he has already seen? Can he help Sierra change the destiny of the ones she loved before? Can the two of them perhaps change the course of all the things they’ve seen in the times to come?

POST-APOCALYPTIC TIME-TRAVEL THRILLER WHICH WILL KEEP YOU AT THE EDGE OF YOUR SEAT
1/07/26 Review: ☆☆☆☆☆
In Times to Come - Disruption (book 3) by Scott B. Williams is a well-written story of survival in a post-apocalyptic time where mankind is pretty much back into the 1800's where industry, food supply, law and order, electricity, and communications go. The government has sold out the U.S. due to corruption and greed. The only thing standing in the hope of survival is determination and grit and even that's not enough sometimes to get everyone through one day to the next.
A portal that actually sends you into the future or the past or does it send you into an alternate reality or universe? Even after the third book in this series, the answer to that question is still unanswered. The suspense is lingering to see if Alan and Sierra can make their way in the uncharted territory of time travel in order to reunite with Sierra's missing or feared dead family all at the same time trying to survive themselves in a post-apocalyptic scenario where everywhere they turn someone is trying to take everything they have or outright kill them.
This is a great book and series and having started book four, 'In Times to Come - Dystopia', each additional book brings more action, adventure, and suspense into the works. I have truly enjoyed reading this book and the previous two and really look forward to reading the remaining books. I hope you too will find yourself drawn to this series and find yourself enjoying it as much as I have.
I much anticipated this third book in the series but was really disappointed in the storyline. So many options for the main characters but the author was on rinse and repeat cycle. Seriously, are we to believe a Marine veteran would underestimate a bad guy (Ken Sears) twice?? Not sure if I will read the fourth just to see the bad guy get over one the main characters again and again. I want to see new challenges from other characters and situation's. It would have been a great ending in for Ken Sears if when he touched the crystals in the third book to have been sent back a 1000 years only to be finished off the the people of the boy he shot in the back.

Disruption is Book 3 of the In Times to Come series. With some ending in a minor cliffhanger, I would certainly say these should be read in order as a series.
I'm still intrigued by this concept and I am still engaged with the characters but "here we go again" is starting to run through my head.
I'm still recommending this and I'm headed to Book 4 but I'd really like to see something other than a rinse, repeat type of storyline.
I am really enjoying these books. I love time travel books. This series captured my attention from the get go. I like the two main characters and despise Kenneth as I’m supposed too. I am anxious to find out what Sierra’s grandfather meant…… Exciting!
