This is not a book that can be read as a standalone. If you have read the previous Gideon brother's stories then this is another good piece of the people in the family.

The General and his woman
Absolutely loved this read. Any friend of the Gideons is a family I want to read about! Moses and Bree are a great couple and it was awesome to take this ride with them. It became super special as that Whitney Houston song was also my song on my day in June 2001. I highly recommend this read, it gives everything!!

The General gets his HEA!!
I. Loved. This. Book! I've been waiting to read this book. And OMG it was everything I knew it would be. When Lt. General Kisses Elijah Knight was first introduced in thought he was intriguing and a little sad. Knowing more of his back story I can understand more about his character as well as his relationship with his daughter Megan. But now he finally gets a great woman to give him peace and who calms his heart, Sabrina aka Bree/Grey. First off can we talk about the BDE Moses gives off in this book? And the man is HOT af!! The passion, chemistry, laughter, respect and friendship that develops between Moses and Grey was such a pleasure to read. They knew what they wanted and did what they needed to make it work. I loved that Moses and Megan were able to get closer. I'm telling you this book had me crying at the end. I was not ready for how they got their HEA! But they were definitely happy tears. I'm happy Bree and Moses found each other. They were 2 of my favorite non-Gideon characters besides Peter and Lennox. I totally give this book ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. J. Nell knocked it out of the park once again. I highly recommend this book. I cannot wait to read Anson's story.

He wasn't ever getting married again
Lt. Gen. Moses Knight was content with being a widower after his wife Stacey died. But she made him promise not to close off love and marry again. But being a single dad to a cantankerous teen daughter who was determined to run off any women, he thought it would never happen. When he first laid eyes on Bree, he knew exactly who she was to him. His daughter Megan somehow knew when she was running off other women that she was saving space for his real love, Bree. It was as though his late wife was directing the entire meeting.
This was a sweet read. Not like the drama that the Gideon brothers usually bring. My only problem with reading this story is trying to remember who belonged to whom with all of the characters in this book. Now I can't wait to see what Anson is up to.

So romantic and not super focused on the holidays.
I love a solid romance centered story and this definitely is. It is nice to see the evolution of both the General and Bree and how that shapes their dedication and passion within their new relationship. (And the dirty talk 🔥🔥🔥😊👍) It wouldn't be a Gideon Brothers and Friends story without hilarious family events and get togethers. All I will say is musical chairs! 🤣 You can't do anything but love this entire family. I could read this any time of year but it was a nice way to bring in my new year. Can't help but feel even more excited for the rest of the series since we got to experience a more relaxed side of the Gideon Clan. Definitely feel like some things are about to go down! 😁 Another job well done, in my eyes, J. Nell!

Great book!
This series is simply awesome. The characters are very entertaining and believable. The journey that the author takes you on is one that will make you laugh and cry and angry all at the same time. I loved the chemistry between Mose and Sabrina it was so intense and smoking hot 🔥. I can't wait to read the next book in this series, and I highly recommend this series to my fellow romance readers.

Family Not By Blood,
This is what happens when you get adopted by the Gideons, you become family. Even though the brothers have served under the General, they still consider him and Megan family, and I absolutely loved the family vacation especially the way they played Musical chairs, it was totally hilarious and funny watching grown Men act so silly for their family.

Love at first sight
J. Nell has once again done it! I love the story of The General and Bree! Their love is a match made in Heaven! The general came in and laid claim to her and her heart! The way he loves her and show her is so amazing! The way the family accepts him and Bree is wonderful! I love me some Gideon’s!!!! Great job J. Nell!!!!

Love found again
The General met Bree at the Gideon Family wedding! He was determined to get to know her and make her his! Bree was swept off her feet by the General! The General and his daughter overcame tragedy and a kidnapping through therapy. The General opened his heart again to love and Bree would be his forever! A great read!

General and Bree’s story seemed rushed as opposed to the other stories…
As soon as I was all in the story jumped…
Their journey to love was beautiful and very endearing…
Maybe more will be forthcoming in Ansen’s book if he and Megan are next…
Will the General get to Ansen before Joshua can reach him?
Will Megan be able to reach Ans before the marines intervene?

Breathtaking
This was great. I wasn’t going to read it because it wasn’t a BWWM, but I’m glad I did. Each book in this series seems to get better and better. Looking forward to the final book, but wish the author would write a book for all the brothers before she ends the series. Looking forward to the next one.

Moses and Sabrina
This was a sweet quick lil read. I'm so glad that the General finally found his happiness because he deserved it. After his wife died yrs ago he never thought about or wanted to marry again. That was until he met Bree. Now that he's found happiness all hell seems to have broken loose. Anson is up next.💓💓

For Grown Folks
Great story. When you know, you know. It was so wonderful reading about mature adults finding love. No unnecessary drama. There were a few editing and grammatical errors but not enough to interfere with the flow of the story.

I really enjoyed this story. I was glad that the General took a chance on a second love. I am extremely glad that his daughter accepted his choice. It is really hard when you have grown children for them to even accept the fact that parents need love and romance too. Blu was Moses choice and I was happy to see them get the happiness that they both deserved.
