Our goddess Sage St. Claire has once again provided us with a masterpiece! After reading the first book in the Grovewood Ink Series, I wasn’t so sure she would be able to deliver enough to make me fall in love with another book like I did with The Storms Between Us (book 1 In the series) But let me just say, she has completely taken over another piece of my heart with this epic novel!
The writing style is on point, the character development was stellar and the story line was nothing short of incredible.
This was a fast paced read with plenty of plot twists and turns to have you gripping your seat as well as taking one heck of a ride!
Have you ever felt a love that was so deep of a connection that it completely scared you?!…
For Ev & Kels their passion and chemistry is all too consuming. It has their adrenaline pumping and feelings of being terrified, wrapped in together.
Will self sabotage, haunting nightmares
and feelings of becoming too overwhelmed keep a relationship from progressing….
Or will they put up a wall to keep each other at a distance so that no one is in harms way again?

I absolutely loved Stay With Me! Sage has a way of writing that it just flows from page to page 📖
The push and pull between these two trying to deny the chemistry between them 🔥 Ev thinks he is too damaged to be loved, Kelsea knows there has always been a connection between them but also questions if she will be able to give Ev the life she thinks he deserves. What will they choose? What happens when a little bad juju follows one of them and tragedy strikes? These characters are beautiful and fun along side some new characters you will get to meet, that I absolutely loved. I laughed and I cried. I’m sad it’s over but I am feral for book 3 already! 😝

Boy oh boy this book did not disappoint. Now I loved Ember and Eli in The Storms Between Us, but Kelsea and Everett took over the top couple spot for me.
I really appreciate that this wasn’t your typical instalove relationship and that they were friends first, but will Kelsea and Everett’s relationship withstand the struggles of self doubt regarding their abilities to give the other person what they feel they deserve?
I already cannot wait for the next book of the series to be released in Fall 2023!

HOLY MOLY. When I read the first book in this series, it instantly became a top shelf read for me. I didn’t think I could love the main characters anymore. Sage St. Claire completely blew it out of the water with Ev and Kelsea. I feel emotionally attached to them, and they have my heart forever. I couldn’t get to the next page fast enough as I wanted to know what was going to happen next. Kelsea couldn’t deny the connection she was feeling, but was she enough? When I say Sage blew this out of the WATER again — I’m struggling to find the words y’all!
This is Book 2 in the Greenwood Ink series! I absolutely LOVED Book 1 (The Storms Between Us) — but this one. 😮💨 This one was by far my FAVORITE!
The story of Everett (MMC) and Kelsea (FMC) was nothing short of breathtaking. They are truly a couple who conquers life and death together! Everett is a knight in shining armor! He would truly kill or die to protect Kelsea!
Ev loves Kels wholeheartedly despite the demons she fights! And he doesn’t allow her to fight them alone! In return, she loves Ev with her entire being! They would truly burn the world down for each other if push came to shove! & I am a sucker for that kind of love!
You also get a lot of interaction with Elijah and Ember throughout the entire book! 🥹 As well as seeing glimpses of the new couple who I hope is the star of the next book!

When I read Ms. St. Claire's The Storms Between Us and was introduced to Everett there I knew he was going to have a great story and let me just say it was everything I was hoping for and more. There are many depths to Everett, the ones he wants people to see and the ones only one person can see and that one person is Kelsea. There are still some things he keeps hidden even from her. Things that have happened in his past that lead him to believe he isn't good enough for her. Everett is not the commitment type and has never seen himself settling down but from the moment he laid eyes on his sister's best friend, Kelsea, four years ago she has been the only one to put thoughts of forever in his head.
Kelsea has harbored feelings for Everett for what seems like a lifetime. When her life is suddenly in danger it was Everett who stayed by her side through all of the heeling. She knows he is not a one woman man but that doesn't stop her from hoping. He is the twin of her best friend but over the years she has formed a friendship with him that is only for them. One day they end up taking things to the next level and Kelsea's heart soars. Can she be the one woman that finally has Everett wanting to commit?
These two together....oh my gosh! I loved them in book one and that was just solidified in book two. Poor Everett and the self doubt he has when it comes to Kelsea, who only sees the good in him. He is so tender with her and attentive. If she is around he is right there next to her and if she isn't around his head and heart are with her. The lengths he goes to for her protection speaks volumes for how he feels about her. They simply mesh so well together....so well. My heart hurt for her so many times when her parents were involved....I absolutely cannot them. She has thrived with her chosen family of which Everett is front and center in.
Sage St. Clair has graced her readers with yet another piece of perfection. It isn't an easy ride for Everett and Kelsea, there are obstacles in their way but they push through them and come out stronger together. Ms. St. Claire also has a knack for setting up the couple for her next book and I have to say those two stood out to me so much in this book and hit me in the feels that I can only imagine how their full story is going to go.....I cannot wait!!!

The second book in the Grovewood Ink series does not disappoint. This story follows Everett and Kelsea and their road to happily ever after. Full of love, steam, adventure and action. Friends to lovers, you can see how they ended up here. Their chemistry is undeniable and hot. You've got a bit of a slow burn going on in the beginning which then leads to a burning need for each other. Of course we also get to see Eli and Ember from the first book. A great second outing for this indie author and I'm definitely all in. Can't wait for the third book to drop to see how everyone's stories turn out. I received an advance review copy for free and I'm leaving this review completely voluntarily.

If you haven’t read book 1, The Storms Between Us, I definitely recommend reading it first.
Sage St. Claire did it again!! I absolutely loved everything about this book!!! It will take you through all the emotions. The spice is perfection! I love the suspense that Sage includes in her books. It keeps you on the edge of your seat and you won’t want to put it down. I really loved how much we got to see of Ember & Eli (from book one). I can’t wait to read the next in the series… I’m really hoping there will be a book for Breaker and Rory!

I loved Storms Between Us (Grovewood Ink book 1), Ember, and Elijah's story was so so good..... BUT y'all.... Kelsea and Everett is everything I dreamed it could be. I adore this book. Sage is such a good author, and I die for her writing style. This book flows flawlessly, and I love that it's not just about romance. She throws in some suspenseful circumstances. The author lures you into the story in the best way possible. The way she gives you so much character development of Kelsea and Everett and still incorporated just enough of Ember and Elijah in this second book is what I wish more romance authors would do more of. Everett has such a tough/badass outer shell but crumbles completely for Kelsea. The kind of guy that never wanted to settle down. Kelsea, trying to work through her past trauma and redirecting her life, can not overlook her feelings for her best friends brother. Except, Everett isn't the guy who could give her the future she wants. Now, the spice! Drool worthy! 😏 My husband kept asking what I was smiling so much about... well, Everett and Kelsea, of course 🤤
It's such a great series so far, I def. Recommend reading it 1000%! I'm so thankful to have been able to read these and give my thoughts. I would have been the one missing out on this amazing series if not for Sage showing up on my Instagram.

GROVEWOOD INK IS MY FAVORITE SERIES 🖤
I laughed, cried, & swooned throughout this book. Not sure how it is possible, but it was better than the 1st one. Hoping there is Aurora’s love story coming 👀🤞🏼
So many twists and memorable moments in this book. It plays out like a movie in your mind and leaves you wanting more.

I loved Ember and Eli in The Storms Between Us ( Book 1 ) but Everett and Kelsea make my insides go all crazy.
I love how their struggles and vulnerability are shown to us. Nobody’s perfect but they are perfect together. Their chemistry is very intense. I would say after years and years after longing after each other and once they get together, it’s like fireworks but there’s obstacles and consequences from the actions from the first book standing between them before they have their HEA.
I love how hard they love each other and would do anything for the other person. Fantastic story and the spice doesn’t disappoint. Great Job Sage! I’m excited to read book 3 this Fall of 2023 🥹♥️

The characters in this book absolutely stole my heart. Such an amazing story and so very well written. You truly felt like you knew the characters and that they were part of your life, part of your family and friends group! I always say I want the books that I get lost in, and that is 100% what happened with this one! Amazingly written!

Everette and Kelseas story is such a beautifully written friendship turned romance. To watch them grow through the story line and work hard to be together just makes my heart happy. Love takes work and they show that.
One of my favorite things about books by Sage St. Claire js that not only are they spicy and have all the romance but they also have a great story line out side of it. The suspense of Stay With Me is just as good as the romance. You will not be disappointed!

Incredible
This 2nd book was just as good as the first. I literally finished it in one day, I couldn't put it down. I loved getting to read about Ev and Kelsea's love story. This book was not shy on the spice or drama. The drama kept me on my toes and the spice kept me wanting to read on. I was so happy every character from the first book was in this book. Sage St. Claire is an amazing author and I can't wait for more from her. I'm ready for the 3rd one now!!!!

I was really disappointed in this one… I really enjoyed the first book in the series, but there were a few things that really bothered me about this one. I rounded up to 4 stars for this review, but really it’s more of a 3.5 for me.
The biggest issue I had was with the editing. I was really surprised at how many spelling and grammatical errors there were! I don’t know if it’s any better in a physical format (I read the ebook format), but I lost count of how many errors I found throughout the book, so many that it became extremely distracting for me. There was even a part where a character name was completely wrong! It felt like the author was in such a rush to get this one out that the proofreading wasn’t thoroughly done.
A second huge issue for me was the story/character/relationship development did not seem as well executed as the first book, instead focusing on the smut. I’m all for spice in romances, I even read dark fantasy romance novels, so it’s not that I don’t like spice. I just felt like she focused too much on writing sex scenes and not as much effort went into the actual plot and characters. The balance in the first book was much better - this one felt way too heat-heavy, with an afterthought of action. I enjoyed the story, and plan to read the next one, but was really disappointed with this one.
The last thing may be a personal thing, but OMG I almost lost my mind with how many times she said “goddess”… I felt it was WAY overused. I totally get cute nicknames, but this in my opinion was OVERKILL. I never want to see that used as a nickname every again… or at least not for a very very long time… it drove me crazy.
Overall I enjoy the series as a whole, and plan to continue with the third book. I just hope it’s more developed and balanced like the first book.

I don’t know if it’s any better in a physical format (I read the ebook format), but I lost count of how many errors I found throughout the book, so many that it became extremely distracting for me. Sage St. Clair does it again! I liked Eli and Ember in the first novel, and the second installment, Stay With Me picks up where we left off in the first with Kelsea and Emmett.
I ADORED these two! These two are my absolute favorites. I couldn’t put this book down! The FMCs are all strong in their own right, but Kelsea was on a different level.
She was blunt, courageous and resilient and pushed through her fears. And Emmett, lord have mercy! Where can I find a sexy tattooed man with a filthy mouth and a heart of gold. Seriously, asking for a friend.
“Would you like that, goddess? You want me to make you scream my name from the fucking rooftops, so this whole town knows who you belong to?”
This book was unputdownable. It was a perfect friends to lovers, forced proximity, best friend’s brother romance. But it also had deep and emotional moments with trauma and PTSD.
If you’re looking for an emotionally sweet and compelling story, you shouldn’t look any further than this series. Each book has its cute moments, it’s *fan your face* spicy scenes, emotional trauma and romance suspense. Because what’s a sexy tattooed man without a dangerous past lurking in the shadows.

Highly suggest this series, as they are quick reads and can be read in a day.

Okay move over Elijah we have a new guy to swoon and boy does he fight how right he is for Kelsea all the way. Seeing glimpses of Everett in Embers story we see a wild, playboy and boy just being with Kelsea we see a side nobody has seen before. With the right woman we see a man determined to be the hero she needs yet fights what the heart really wants. These two may start as friends but one thing for sure Sage St. Claire doesn't make it easy for them. Knowing what Kelsea went through in Embers story we see a woman fighting to be normal not live in fear of what happened. Being with Everett we see these two circling around but once they get past their issues it is like fireworks on New Years hot, explosive and just WOW. I loved that just being himself Kelsea see's a man who gives her strength, love and most of all a life she didn't think was possible. These two just blew me away and the way they go from friends to lovers seemed so perfect all the way. Loved it cannot wait for the next one in this series.

Now, I absolutely adored Elijah and Ember,(I mean who doesn’t)! I was afraid I wouldn’t love Ev and Kels just as much. But Everett freaking Blake and Kelsea, they have the perfect chemistry! The love and build up is ON POINT. They both love so big and real that your heart will be SO FULL, but both have struggles of their own, that create a wedge that will break your heart! Will they be together? Will they let problems of the past keep them apart?
Sage really did a perfect job on this one! I’ve laughed out loud, I’ve cried, I’ve been shocked and in awe! Do not let this one just sit on your TBR. GO READ IT!

Stay with me is book 2 of Grovewood Ink. This book follows Kelsea & Everett's story. Although it is a standalone, the story is interconnected with book 1 of the series. This book continues after the events of book 1. It is a slow-ish burn story.
Kelsea is Ember's best friend in college and Everett is Ember's twin brother. Both of them have been skirting around their feelings towards each other. They both wanted to stick to just being friends. For me, this was the most frustrating part. I am glad though that Kelsea new what she wanted and was not afraid to say it; which was the kick that Everett needed.
I did not like the congressman and am glad he got what he deserved. There were new characters in this book that I am interested in seeing their stories.

small town romance
This is story of Embers best friend Kelsea who we meet in book 1. After the events that happened in the previous book it was bound to happen that her and Ev would be destined right? I mean he did take care of after all the trauma. You fall in love with the characters and we finally get answers to what happened at the end of book 1 but still the ending keeps falling flat. I feel like I want more or there’s something missing but I mean I still liked the story.

I didn’t want to put this book down!
It is full of wonderful characters, deep attractions, and moments that had my heart racing!
The female characters in this series are so strong but the FMC in this book, Kelsea, is on a different level. She’s been through so much and it doesn’t let up.
She has her chosen family though, and I have a feeling they are going to help her thrive.
EVERETT WAYNE - like no words! I love him. I love his growth in this book and how he feels about Kelsea. I love his bravery.
Read it!

Love Kelsea and Everett
Everett has been there for Kelsea when she went through an attack and almost died. He convinces her to move in with him so he can take care of her. Their friendship has always had a side of attraction, but they don’t want to cross lines. One night changes everything and they can’t keep their hands off of each other. The danger is closing in on them. Great characters and storyline Highly recommended Amazing book. Love Kelsea and Everett. Great supporting characters. Romantic suspense with very nice spice. Love, Peace, and Orgasm.
