if you’re in the mood to read a novella consisting of insta - love (in the literal sense, because they both “fell in love” with one another the second they met and got together after fucking each other in a sex club where they met for the first time) and you simply don’t wanna feel any connection or chemistry between MC’s throughout the entire story, this book will be right up your alley. the only reason i rated this 1.5 (basically 2) stars and not 1 star is because the smut was somewhat decent.

Darkest Devotion is a Devotion Series novelette by Persephone Autumn. If you have read Undying Devotion then you will have already met this couple.
This is Thomas and Ella’s backstory. It starts with how they meet and fall in love, then ends the night they meet Rick and Christy. A short instalove story which is very steamy because their romance is unconventional due to their sexual preferences.

Ella is taken to an underground club by her best friend, to celebrate graduating high school. However, it turns out to be a sex party. Thomas is there with work colleagues to celebrate his birthday. Neither expected to find the love of their life that night and someone who truly understood their lifestyle.

Thomas has always enjoyed voyeurism but when he sees a young woman looking uncomfortable, he rescues her. The attraction and connection between them is instantaneous. He immediately wants her and not just for that night. She loves his commanding and possessive ways.

Once he gets her away from her unsavoury parents, they fall into a loving relationship. They bond over their wants and desires. He helps her love who she is and shows her there is nothing wrong with their spicy way of life and enjoying being themselves.

The bonus epilogue is them visiting Boundless for the first time and while observing from the VIP area, Ella starts chatting to Christy. You can find out what happens next in Undying Devotion and how right these couples are for each other.
