Trust is a man of action. Play with him, his family, or his money, and he's coming for you. However, somewhere, deep down, he also has a heart. So, when he's betrayed by the blood of someone he considers family, he offers a bit of grace and exercises a little control in regards to retaliation. Instead of committing murder, Trust takes an alternate route when it comes to collateral damage.
Honesty lives a simple life and with Christmas fast approaching, everything around her was supposed to be amazing. Her man wasn’t perfect but being that he was there for her during a dark time, she allows more than she should for the sake of love. However, when she finds herself in a sticky situation, the person she thought would be there for her left her stranded, and the last person she thought would give her protection ends up providing her solace.
Life's twists, turns, and bad decisions lead Trust and Honesty to Winter Crest during the holiday season for different reasons. Tempers flare, secrets are revealed, and things get messy when revenge is at the center of it all. Come take this final Winter Crest Christmas ride, and see how Trust and Honesty's life choices play out.
K. Renee is from sunny, California. Creative by nature, she decided to put her imagination to paper. K. Renee is an avid reader. During the day she works in an office and at night she writes. These stories have been in her head for years and are finally coming out on paper.
Trust and Case were givin’ Big Worm and Smokey vibes. Trust is a man who doesn’t like to repeat himself and he damn sure doesn't want to ask for his money more than once. When Case continues to play in his face, Trust pulls up and takes his girl as collateral. But, the joke is on Honesty and Trust because, Case doubles down and shows both of them how he really don’t give AF. When Honesty finally takes off her rose colored glasses and sees Case for the triflin' trash azz ninja he really is, she packs her shyt and moves to Winter Crest for a fresh start. But, she unknowingly leaves with a parting gift. When these two meet back up with each other in Winter Crest, the drama goes from zero to a hundred real quick. Honesty and Trust was the perfect ending to this series. These characters and their shenanigans will definitely have you laughing throughout the entire book.
If k*lling isn't your jam in Christmas books, which I understand, this book is not for you.
Also let me say y'all over whooping (my son taught me that🤣) with all the 5 stars😒 but I am too with the 4🤷🏾♀️ It was funny AF and I cackled so much. It definitely gave Christmas vibes and I loved the characters. Taj and Madear sent me throughout the whole book🤣🤣 Taj was a long winded MF who was quick witted with a slick mouth.
Trust was the Grinch and he was here to collect no matter the season. When Case found himself in a bind Trust decided to take a special package for collateral. Honesty was innocent, but paid the price for dating fkboy Case. Listen, I love how Honesty flipped the script on the whole hostage/kidnapping situation. She was going stir crazy and took Trust right on with her. In the midst of this the sexual tension was high and Trust and Honesty connected. He thought he was going to be happy to send her back but he lowkey missed her.
The way they reconnected was wild and secrets unfolded. It was clear to everyone but Trust how he felt about Honesty. They slowly came around and I loved that for them.
There was a lot going on and it might be overkill for some, but I enjoyed it. it's concerning how much I like these kidnapping/ hostage tropes 🤷🏾♀️ oh well it's fiction.
This book kept me laughing from beginning to end!!
If you’re looking a book that will keep you on your toes from the first chapter this is it! Trust, Taj & Madear were HILARIOUS‼️😂 They literally had me laughing throughout the entire book! Trust was unhinged to say the least! The way he took Honesty without a care in the world was too funny! He definitely didn’t think the whole hostage thing through cuz boy did she take him for a ride 😂 This was a short but good read with lots of unexpected twist & turns! Definitely looking forward to reading more from this author!
This must be the last book in the series because they went out with a bang for this one. This is how the entire series should have been coming. Too bad I had to kiss so many frogs to get my prince 🤣😩! This was a world wind of a story! Trust was the plug and making big moves. After being double crossed by one of his men, he becomes closed off from love and anyone not in his inner circle got the coldest version of him. Years later a second double cross led to him taking matters into his own hands and that was how he met Honesty. Honesty though she was with the man of her dreams but she found out quickly that her sugar was really salt! After being played for the last time and seeing Case for what he truly was she decided to pick up and start fresh in Winter Crest. She had no idea that meeting Trust a few months back would change her life forever. We finally got the full history of Winter Crest in this story and the plot twist while unexpected was a nice touch! This family was crazy af and between Taj and Granny the filters were non existent on their mouths! The break up with Rob was probably the swiftest breakup in book history. 2 sentences and it was on to the next 😩. I had to chuckle at that. The timeline of the book moved quick but it didn’t feel rushed. I enjoyed K. Renee’s holiday book from last year and this one did not disappoint.
Trust is a man about his money and his family. Play wit it if you want to. Case thought he could get over on Trust due to the relationship with his uncle. Ha, think again sir! Trust takes what he thinks will make Case act faster with giving him his money but finds out Case is just out for self.
Uhhh... Honesty, how did you end up with Case's no-good ass for real? He just out in these streets running through his money and being reckless without a care as to who it harms. Unlucky for you, you are the casualty, and Case could care less about your wellbeing.
Honesty gave Trust hell with all that singing and screaming, as well as running up his damn credit cards like a G! 😂 There was some attraction there that they succumbed to as well. I just didn't feel any real connection between the two of them. They seemed to grow a bit attached through the forced proximity, but I just wasn't feeling anything. 🤷🏾♀️
The second half of the story went by fast as hell, with a lot of moving parts. The Winter Crest connection with Trust was interesting, as well as finding out who his biological father was. Taj and Madear were a damn riot, and I laughed quite a bit at their shenanigans.
I guess I am the odd man out on this one. It was an okay read, but I didn't love it.
I really enjoyed this book. Case was something else and given too many chances to make things right. Honesty was not going to let Trust get away with kidnapping her so she decided to make him miserable. Her singing those Christmas carols was the funniest. I liked Taj and Madear, they were hilarious with their jokes. Although Trust and Honesty had their share of drama, it turned out to be a really good Christmas for them both with an inheritance, new baby and one on the way.
The way Taj and ma dear had me hollering this entire book! Taj was an entire fool do you hear me! I was no more good fooling around with him. I don’t know why I even tried drinking anything! I choked on my damn water! Outstanding job
K Renee never disappoints, this short story was good from beginning to ending. Taj and Madear were a mess and kept me laughing the entire book. Awesome storyline, I was happy when Trust & Honesty finally got it together. These characters were so lovable and interesting I would love to read a series about them especially with Taj animated, dramatic, no filter, instigating self and Madear cause they're both with all the 💩. Great job, I look forward to what's next🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
It has been a while since I have read a K. Renee masterpiece and she didn't disappoint then nor did she with this book. I have read one other Winter Crest Christmas read and I love the fact this is where it all started. Trust and Honesty didn't have the most conventional meeting however every love story is unique to its own. Trust may have had a rough childhood with just him, his brother, and his mother but his biological father came through. He was a deadbeat until he wasn't by including his son. Trust deserved it because he is going to make sure his family is good including Honesty. The empire that he and Honesty can build now is going to be epic and bigger than any previous dream he had. Honesty truly deserved the love Trust was giving out because her ex was the epitome of sorry. He allowed too much to happen to Honesty and didn't try to rectify it. Trust stepped in and once the ball got rolling it never stopped. The ball rolled right into Honesty's heart. She was smitten and ready to catch all the loving.
This book is it, you will enjoy this urban Christmas read. Taj and Madear were hilarious. Ms. Renee, please be writing a story on Taj. I absolutely loved his personality. He was a clown but he funnily spoke the truth. And him and Madear together you could literally crack a rib. 🤣 This is K. Renee you know what to do download and indulge in this masterpiece.
This was such a good read & help the Winter Crest series go out with a BANG! Even tho Trust & Honesty met under unfortunate circumstances, things ended up working out in their favor. All through out the Winter Crest series we read about Armon Crest, his daughter Winter, and the history behind the beautiful city of Winter Crest. Finding out Trust was the sole heir to the Crest family estate was what blew me away. That was a plot twist I definitely didn’t see coming. Madear and Taj antics & banter was truly funny. Hopefully we get more on Trust & Honesty and Taj & Mena in the Winter Crest Valentine’s Day book series. I highly recommend this book and all of the books in the Winter Crest series.
I went from giggling to laughing hard as hell reading this. Taj don't have any filter. He's going to say what's on his mind no matter the circumstances or where he's at. I see he got his mouth from him and Trust Ma Dear. The two of them together is hilarious. Trust gave Case too many chances. He should've known that Case wasn't going to come for Honesty because the bum didn't care about anybody but himself. Honesty drove Trust crazy to the point it turned into lust and something more. Trust finding out who his father was and the wealth he gained was mind blowing.
Case was a sorry excuse of a man. He failed to repay Trust the money that was owed to him and in return he took his girlfriend hostage until he payed the money. Being held hostage wasn't as bad as it could have been. Honesty just didn't have access to a phone or the ability to leave. She soon got comfortable with being at Trusts home. In the heat of the moment they had a rough/passionate night. Trust didn't realize he would catch feelings for Honesty and neither of them expected to become parents. Madear and Taj were hilarious and kept me laughing through the whole story. Who knew being held hostage would lead to two kids and a beautiful ending.
I didn't finish this book because it stated to irk the hell outta me... how you this big bad goon, gangsta or whatever and haven't killed him or her the stunt she pulled with the decor and money just no.. maybe it's just me if you describe him as a gangsta I need him to be he's coming off as a pushover and ole girl got me ready to come in the book and beat some sense into her again maybe it's just me but after amazon and FedEx left I stopped reading but I like Taj and Madear
Omggggggg Taj is my boy that fool had me hollering the whole time him and madear they funny as fuck trust wasn't playing no games when a man know what he wants he will go get it case was a whole Bitchhhhh made nigga but hey niggas do what they want when you let them and he had a baby on her I'm super happy she shitted on him honesty had me weak swiping that fool card I love this book and she had his babyyyy whew Chile I can see his little handsome face now my boy was rich rich and don't know it
Baby yes yes I am here for it. That’s how you end a m****f**** series. With a for real don’t play with them thug a$$ n**** owning the damn whole city plus some. Winter Crest will never be same from this day forth. Taj is a whole fool out here in these street with weed smoking Madear as his right hand..lol they had my stomach hurt cracking up up at them. Let just say I would be a willing hostage for Trust any time, day, night, month, season, year, decade or century. I’m just saying that’s how you BOSS DA F***UP.
This standalone is lit. Trust wasn’t playing when that dude owed him money. And honesty was a fool with how she acted the first time she was kidnapped. His brother and gma was a trip with their talking. I was laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes. I’m glad they had their happy ending. U did good on yet another book and I’m looking forward to reading more of them. Sitting here patting my feet while sipping on Pepsi while eating popcorn and while waiting on the next book to read
You never fail me and this one didn’t disappoint either!! Trust was everything and I’m glad he got the life he always dreamed of….. Honesty getting snatched was the best thing that could’ve happened to her!!! She hit a few bumps in the road but her and Trust were beautiful together. Honey Taj tail was to funny, him and Ma Dear🤣. Would love to see these characters again!! Great job Queen
Out of all of the Winter Crest books I must say that Taj had me laughing the most. His mom must have shook his ass too much while carrying him or she dropped him as a baby. That ninja couldn't and wouldn't take shit serious. By the way Case a whole bitch ass ninja. I want to thank you all for the great reads. Continue to write dope ass books. A true fan!!!! Happy Holidays!!!!
This book was everything. Case was a joke that was given too many chances. Taj & My Dear were hilarious 😂😂 I literally couldn't stop laughing at the 2 of them.... Honesty... She was hilarious... What type of person walk around new born naked in front of a stranger but then have the nerve to say don't touch me?? Wild!! I'm not going 2 say anything more.... Please read this book.... U won't be disappointed.....
Being kidnapped can be a bad thing but this one turned out to be the best thing to happen to Honesty. Trust had great intentions but he he was a man before ANYTHING. Case was sad and he didn’t care for Honesty’s well-being. Rob was just as sad. Trying to buck up only to get f’d up. Taj was indeed a character. He kept me laughing, him and grandma. I love how the Winter Crest ended and I can’t wait to read what these authors have in store. Great Job ALLLL
What a perfect way to end Winter Crest. Taj and Madear were hilarious. I laughed so hard when Honesty was singing through the intercom lol. She drove Trust crazy and now look how happy they are. Now we need Taj and Mena to have a spinoff (wink 😉) great read Karen.
I really loved Trust and Honesty. I would have liked a little more build up of their feelings for one another. But Trust and his situation was definitely great to read about. I'm happy we got the ending we did. I wish we could have had a book with all the characters that landed in Winter Crest. These books made me want to visit this place.
Loved the concept and the storyline. Truth and Honesty how unique. If you want good family laughter during the holidays this is the book to read. Taj was a plum fool, right along with Madear. There was some drama, but I tell you the comedic timing in this story, will have you laughing nothing but tears. I hope to see more of Truth and Honesty!
I love the chemistry between Trust and Honesty, they were a hot mess so was Taj and their grandma. This was a different type of read and I enjoyed it. I don't want to give away too much, but I hope I hear more from this couple and their families. Great job!!!
This was the best winter crest series I loved 🥰 them all but Taj reminded me of Gabe and justice I miss them so much keep them coming I love 💕 Christmas story Thank all the ladies job well done 👍 and I’m going to reread them again looking forward to what’s up next do something in New Orleans 5 stars ⭐️ to you all
K Renee you never cease to amaze me I absolutely enjoyed this Holiday read!!!
This book was a great holiday read that damn Taj and Madear had me laughing so hard with all of their crazy antics.. Honesty and Trust were just as bad during her being held hostage but in the midst all of that they ended up being bonded for life and found their happy ending..
This was a great read. Sis kept getting kidnapped. Case was a whole little oy out here in these streets.Trust should've been took care of him he know the rules of the streets. But who would've thought that a baby would come out of this. Then Trust a whole billionaire
