Crying Wolf, by Karla DeMaris, is a story about Rachel Robinson, a 14-year-old girl who moves with her parents from the city to a secluded town in the northern woods. Her parents are anxious to start a new life, off-grid and away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but Rachel is skeptical and a bit frightened, especially when she starts to believe that there are ravenous wolves living in the woods around her house. When no one believes her warnings, she starts her own investigation that changes the way she thinks of the wolves and her new home.
